I miss my first contract job. Was for a major bank and we just got reports every morning with some access to grant. Some days were pretty big, but most days the work took about 1-2 hours. So I worked from home, woke up, completed the list in like an hour or so, and just played video games the whole time.

I worked in the game industry myself, started at $10 an hour in 2011-2012, then got a $1 raise twice, got a new opportunity and it was back to $10 an hour and then $11 an hour a year or two later. Next job with a different company was around $15 an hour, and like one poster said here, overtime wasn't paid but was often expected. Was going to get a $2-3 raise but they decided to lay me off despite being the hardest worker on the project I was on.
