I can't fucking believe it. I was extremely bored with games and haven't been able to play something new for more than 2 hours, constantly dropping every game bc I just couldn't get into it for the last year, maybe more. I started playing DMC5 ( first game I play from this series; tried the reboot on release but couldn't stand playing for more than an hour) , and I honestly believe it is one of the absolute best games I have ever played. It does what a lot of games don't do anymore : ITS FUN AS FUCKKK. Jesus, I pirated it but I'll definitely buy this.
What other action games / games with good combat that are FUN should I play after I finish DMC5?(can't be bothered to play another game until I finish this one) (played FROM games and dragon's dogma already)
Try Bayonetta next, then Metal Gear Rising if you really want to get into action games, give God Hand a go, but be warned it takes getting used to but trust me when I say it's one of the most fun games ever made when it clicks.

glad you liked it user. I was in a simlar boat where I really hadn't enjoyed games in a while untill DMC5. I thought I was outgrowing them or something honestly.
I would second what other anons said and recomend metal gear rising and bayonetta. both are on PC and you can get them fairly cheep
Easton Barnes
In the same genre MGRR Bayonetta DMC 1, 3 and 4 God Hand
Bentley Sanders
what the other anons are saying as well as kingdom hearts 2 Final Mix. It may have a stupid plot and underwhelming level design but the combat is top notch, definetly up there with the greats
Camden Carter
If you want aggressive enemies and bare knuckle hell, God Hand. If you're a fan of going Devil Trigger and want more flash, try Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. If you wished Gunslinger and Swordmaster were one in the same, Bayonetta 1+2. If you like heavy action but wished for more care in the writing and environments, try God of War 4. If you can't get enough of fighting Vergil, try Furi.

currently only have access to a laptop + xbox one controller, so I'll probably play dmc4,3,1 and mgrr first. Thanks!

Now switch from this "game" for mentally challenged to the real stuff.
Nice user :) I hope you're going to continue to have lots of fun with the game, it's infinitely replayable due to how in-depth and technical the combat gets once you add on the mechanics (Jump-cancelling in particular) As for other games with in-depth combat that feels amazingly fun: DMC3 and 4 (and 1 you fucking motherfuckers) obviously Metal Gear Rising. This shit is fucking amazing and absolute pure joy from beginning to end. Incredible boss fights, simpler, but pure fun combat and complete batshit insane story that is entertaining as hell. A must play. Bayonetta 1 and 2. Basically the female counterpart to Dante and Kamiya's take on the genre considering he was kinda kicked from DMC after 1 because of DMC2. Bayonetta 1 has the most in-depth combat, but Bayonetta 2 doesn't have as frustrating and annoying set-piece sections. God Hand. Very different in the gameplay department, yet still action-oriented and takes a ton of skill to learn. This might be hard to get into at first, but once you learn it the combat becomes extremely satisfying and fun. Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2 (Sigma versions are not as good so don't bother). These can be super difficult and play quite differently from DMC as well, but genre wise it's still the same and it's still fun as fuck. Wonderful 101. It's another Kamiya game, the perspective is different and the game is completely over-the-top. Really fun.
>the combat is top notch kh2 is fun and one of my favorites but it's nowhere near top notch lol it's clumsy as fuck
Dylan Morgan
God Hand actually seems like fun, idk how the fuck IGN gave it a 3/10 lmao
Noah Ward
IGN sucked too much at the game. Admittedly it's very fucking hard. Took me several tries to even get through the first section of the first level, but once I got it down the game exceeded my expectations and turned out truly amazing.
Adam Myers
>he was kinda kicked from DMC after 1 because of DMC2
I doubt you meant it this way but Kamiya wasnt involved with 2 at all. There was no real public reason he wasnt involved with a sequel.
Kayden Richardson
if u want some dumb fun but satisfying combat you could also try Yakuza 0

Nice, user. I went through the same thing. As an Acefag, I sympathized with DMCbros' wait for a sequel, so I got caught in the hype as it built. DMC5 is my first DMC and it's easily one of the best action games I've played. Beating it and playing Bloody Palace a bunch has made me start playing the earlier games cause it's just so damn good.
I'd recommend God Hand, like some of the anons here. It's not as flashy, but it's some of the most ridiculously satisfying combat I've ever experienced in a video game.

>ign is not one person Yes but the reviewer represents IGN so when he gives his opinion on the game as a 3/10 you might as well say "IGN sucked at it" because it's the IGN review.
