Reskin the Halloween Player Destruction maps, add some community Special Delivery and Medieval Mode maps, and add all three, and arena, as their own categories. Take 2Fort Invasion and Probed out, throw Standin in, and rename the remaining group of Hydro, Snowplow, and Standin to Misc Control Points.
AND ADD NEW MAP CONTRACTS FOR ALL MAPS. ADD MORE PERIODICALLY.

Badlands, Upward, Snowycoast and Swiftwater are some of the maps a Scout has plenty of movement in.

1000 hours player that quit years ago here, is the game still good to play?

Ironically because of ESEA shutting down their TF2 division, effectively killing TF2 competitive as a scene, a fag called sigafoo shilled his own league with blackjack and hookers and now I have near daily pugs to enjoy with people in prolander, partially reviving TF2 comp immediately.
7 players, class limit one but otherwise anything goes is the fucking best way to play TF2 casually. Fuck the matchmaker and fuck the state of community servers, being allowed to play any class but everyone is actually playing TF2 for once is a breath of fresh air in 2019.

Payload is shit. So is 2fort and Dustbowl. Those games are always just a continual series of people running forward into a wall of bullets until someone survives and achieves the objective.

And guess what? That's gay. TF2 isn't fun when people are actually achieving the objective. The best maps are the ones where everyone just goes mid and fights.

I don't even play it anymore. Haven't played it regularly in like 8 years. Actually achieving objectives isn't fun. You're on a team with 15 other random shitheads. Actually investing time and effort in trying to work together to complete some arbitrary goal that the game tells you to do is stupid. It was different back in the day when there were community servers with regulars who all knew each other and whatnot, but I'm sorry, it's just not fun tryharding with all these strangers. You can bust your ass off, but you'll always get the one guy conga dancing, the friendly heavy, the 10-year old mic spamming, the two engies sitting around picking their assholes, the three spies who you haven't seen in 15 minutes, and then the enemy's got a wall of snipers, an engineer steadily creeping into your side of the map, the tryhard soldier with his girlfriend pocketing him so he's absolutely invincible -- there's too huge of a disparity for it to be fun. You should only try just hard enough to stalemate the enemy. If the enemy is good, go medic if you don't have one, otherwise go demo or maybe sniper depending on the map; if the enemy sucks, I'm boxing heavy and there's nothing you can do about it.

Arena was great, but casuals killed it.

The shove would be more useful on a melee. It'd probably be worth the 10~ less damage.

I know TF2 has a history of idling before they introduced matchmaking, but it isn't like it is that much worse in tf2 than any other similar game like overwatch. I don't remember tons of people sitting and doing nothing in almost every online game. Now days its all over. Is it just normies who think video games are like movies/TV? Do people not realize that video games are still games just like sports, card games, or board games? Is it just a matter of the other people being separated from you so you don't feel bad about not playing even though you wouldn't do it in a game irl?

Gets more powerful the fewer players there are. Strong matchups across the board. Really all that needs to be done is to widen scattergun spread a few pixels and revert the medic speed buff and he'll be good not that it matters since random bullet spread cripples him in pubs.

Right now the Scattergun is just like the Shotgun except it reloads quicker and rampup is higher.
Make it more distinct in a few other subtle ways which slightly nerf it.
It still takes tons of skill to play Scout, but the rewards are just a bit too good for Scouts.
