Why does it take them so long to make stages? Lets be honest, they're all low effort low poly empty levels where shit is added randomly. How does it take the entirety of summer to shit one out? It's not like they need rigorous testing, you can go out of bounds with a single feather in most stages right now.

I had hoped they would look into procedural terrain generation. The current maps already have some randomized aspects, so hopefully the new ones will be more thought out and complex.

What does adding a new stage accomplish for them? Adding more variables before fleshing out fundamental balance and gameplay is poor form.

Artificer is unironically balanced well, just get items that let you sprint, more jumps, and crit. You can charge up your orb while sprinting, that becomes your primary damage dealer near the end of the second loop. Use air mobility to flamethrower when you can.

Monsoon difficulty advances faster than rainstorm. Difficulty keeps scaling after hahahaha so the game will always be harder to beat the enemy pacing on higher difficulty. More spawns isnt always a bad thing since they are worth gold that you turn into items

Game is either too damage spongey or you are too overpowered depending on items which can even be fixed with the printers. RoR felt way harder and the items had a lot more impact. RoR feels like you are just buffing your runaway speed and chance on hits.

Imagine if each character gets a complete set of alternative skills which you can pick and choose from.

My unrealistic dream is that it means there would be a "hard mode" for characters where they have new abilities to manage--so I can finally play this game like an mmo.

The fireworks don't all spawn at once. 8 to start, takes about 1 second for the all to ignite. 4 per stack, about half a second for each.

I had a stack of 20 something, meaning a 10 second stream of 2400 (20x4x300) damage per crate. And the fireworks don't immediately despawn if their target dies, they'll continue to home onto anything that spawns on the map.

And you get to open more crates with all the gold you just got for opening the last crate.

All Golems is absolutely fucking terrifying from stage 4-onward.

You could make them work pretty easy, though. Just have it work like the Stitch D-Link in KH3 where you draw the lines between 3 posts by placing them down with dashes, and everything between the posts is electrified for a short while.

Bandit is the one who is almost finished and the only one who can really keep up with the others with his kit.

I'm really not sure about the others, but they are implementing him, not much left to improve on him too besides visual effects and his "R" skill.

It may be more complex than this because the damage of the sticky is dependent on both character damage and the actual damage caused by the attack that makes it proc, meaning the "% damage" of the skill that procs the sticky factors in as well.

I emailed hopoo a while back and they said they're working on implementing miner as one of the characters. The chances are slim because they said they're having a hard time implementing him into a 3d environment, but they hear the fans and are working hard on it. Consequently this means that chef or acrid won't make it in.

Unless I see proof I can't believe this. Otherwise Flamethrower would do significantly less damage with stickies than most abilities since it hits rapidly for small % damage and something like Hatchet hits 6 times for 250%(plus 10% damage per bounce), there would be a huge discrepancy in damage from stickies between these and I am confident I would have noticed after 200+ hours.

Alternatively, a charcter that is more support based. Like a primary fire that harms enemies but could heal allies. A secondary that could be more for damage than support. The shift move would boost self running speed and the speed of nearby allies. The ult could place down a banner that doubles damage or attack speed of whoever stands in it for 30 to 60 seconds. The risk being that you have to stay inside of it.

Well, there are "shops" scattered around the map that sell 3 items of the same rarity, and you're (usually) able to see what item it is (some "shop" items might be question marks, which are random items), and there are also 3D printers where you can sacrifice a random item to get whatever item is on the printer.
plus there's also the lunar items, which are special items that give huge buffs, but also huge debuffs, so you may or may not want to take them depending on your situation. one lunar item, for instance, doubles your damage but reduces your max health by half.

Yeah it's not really a "humans are evil hurr" as far as the survivors are concerned. As far as the crew of Contact Light, it's more ambiguous; it's implied Dried Lake is the way it is because of human meddling. There are human installations throughout the game in the form of those metal platforms, implying that Contact Light has been around the planet doing god knows what. Whatever CL did, it resulted in the stealing of a teleporter, and that was reason enough for Providence to put a stop to our leaving.

The SURVIVORS are doing just that: surviving. All the Lemurian inhabitants are trying to kill them, and they only retaliate to survive. It's not an inherently evil act. That's why the epilogues aren't condemning the player, it's just a natural conclusion that would come from the slaughtering of thousands of inhabitants.

reposting my idea for sniper, which is that the current skillset (m1 is four shots that need to be reloaded, m2 is scope, shift is iframe backflip, R is drone from ror1) can be tweaked easily to make it work. The fourth shot of m1, the one before the reload, is now a super-bullet that ricochets to nearby enemies and shift is a Milky Chrysalis style flight option on a relatively short cooldown. attack speed will speed reload time so they'll scale nicely.

The crew of survivors aren't Invaders, they are just crew and security staff hired for a delivery ship. But the ship is (mysteriously) carrying a teleporter taken from the planet.

When Providence attacks and downs the Contact Light, the survivors fight for their lives. They don't know the teleporter was stolen, or why they were attacked. They fight and survive, and Providence never tries to communicate with them (like said) to get the teleporter back, choosing to simply attack them. The survivors are morally neutral at worst.

I'd argue that, unless you were the aggressor (game never implies you are, enemies attack you), the killing is justified. Morally you shouldn't be expected to just roll over and die because enough people want you dead.

I feel like the stone titans occupy a weird space of being completely non-intimidating or completely fuck your shit up depending on what items you have. No fun middle ground where it's a fair challenge.

Give Titans the projectile attack of their familiar as their normal eye attack, and give their familiar the homing laser.

Not to mention the absolute shitfest that is having two or three+ spawned at the same time and they work together to perfectly stagger their laser attacks so that you can never leave cover.

I've had weird circumstances where I've had more than one spawn and they'd still be manageable, but other times I just get immediately killed by being fisted into several lasers.

The thing that bothers me more than anything is that whenever there's a stone titan on the map, it instantly becomes priority 1 to kill because it can do the fist from anywhere on the map, and if you're out of cover near it the laser will definitely be coming. Way more disruptive than any other boss in the entire game, especially since vagrants can't AOE until 50% hp and can be controlled in that way.

I've said it before and I'll say s'more, the problem is the lack of items and lack of good items. There was a white item in Risk of Rain 1 that had the same function as Tougher Times does now. Medkit doesn't scale at all, Monster Tooth needs a larger radius of pick up, etc.

My issue with the titans is the laser AI. If the first tick misses you, it can't catch you up. If the first tick hits, it's a full lock on.
I'd be okay with tuning up the damage if the laser tracking speed scaled over time and didn't just fully lock on.

>Survivors make it back to UES Contact Light, Providence intercepts them, revealing he can communicate with humans
