Well essentially it is. The grind for new shit is all the gameplay. If you don't enjoy the grind then there's no reason to play the game. The reason I'm not playing it anymore is exactly that. Though I can see myself going back to it sometime in the future.
Funnily enough their cash shop is actually kind of fair since you can get everything by playing the game and you can even trade in game stuff for platinum (their cash shop currency) to buy stuff that you can't get as loot like some skins and cosmetics. The only actually shitty part about it is warframe and weapon slots being locked behind platinum which means new player experience is fucking terrible unless you buy some platinum or until you can trade for it.

Now if they could just remove the crafting times from the Archwing quest it would be better. I still think that one user is dumb but he is right in this case because it's the only time the game stops your progression. For the Limbo one is fine, but for that one is not.

While there isn't gacha exactly there's relics and boss loot bullshit like where you need 1 of each part yet they don't have the same drop chance from the boss so you end up with a dozen of the common part by the time you get your full set.
To me crafting timers weren't even an issue once I got a bit into the game since I always had new weapons to level so I never had to stop and wait for new ones to finish crafting. It sucks early game though.
