Most of the shinobi arts and prosthetics are useless and feel like an afterthought

>most of the shinobi arts and prosthetics are useless and feel like an afterthought
>extremely limited moveset
>tacked on stealth mechanics with no real use outside of killing one or two mobs before the rest gets aggroed
>90% of the levels are visually bland and barely distinct from one another
>the biggest offender: enemies and minibosses are recycled out the ass, this is even the case for some bosses
it's a good game but for the reasons above it doesn't hold a candle to BB or DS1 from an objective perspective, it feels like a low budget experiment where the devs didn't have confidence in their own ideas

t. anglo shitter still butthurt Japs don’t care about him

i love this game, but he is right except for level design, i quite liked it even tho it has few ugly locations

Your conclusion is only half right:
Yes, it doesn't hold a candle to BB (kino and ludo).
No, it is still better then DS1 (broken down dated piece of shit).

the game also feels kind of short

Friendly reminder this is one and only valid FS games tier list

nah I think DS1 is the epitome of what souls combat is supposed to be about, both of the sequels were a downgrade in that regard

I'd place DS3 between top tier and shit tier

>Dark Souls 1 is good.
lol
>Terrible easy enemies.
>Terrible easy bosse, literally braindead compared to any BB boss or even Sekiro minibosses.
>Worst-in-series movesets, literally destroyed the superb movesets of Demon's.
>Worst-in-series combat mechanic, poise. Dumbs down the combat to its absolute worst.
>Quite a few trash levels.
>Ranged, shields, magic, and backstabs are all pants-on-head retarded.

It's was a massive downgrade from Demons Souls and doesn't hold a candle to the later games. Dark Souls 1 is arguably the worst game.

All the tools and skills are meant to be used in NG+ and onwards so you can try out new ways of approach, the new patch even mentions this, just because you don't want to experiment doens't mean it's pointless. They give you multiple ways to play.

Sekiro is solid 35 hour game with no replay value
you are not suppose to use prosthetics

None of the souls games have replay value.

this is objectively wrong given the amount of different builds and movesets the player can use

>GAYS DONE fails miserably on release day
>Snoyshills can’t cope so they are back to shilling BB

lmao

wrong
DS1- 7 runs
BB- 5 runs
DS3- 3 runs
DeS- 2 runs

i've never replayed any game more than dark suls or bloodborne

This list is pretty accurate
I'd create an "Ok tier" for SotFS, just to distance it a bit from the shit show that was DS2 vanilla

>shit souls
>god tier
b 2 reddit

fuck off with your console war bullshit

Terrible list for copers.

Sekiro>DS2>DS1>Bloodborne>DS3>Demon’s Souls

Is the real list.

Where tf is lost kingdoms Faggot

The builds and moves are all the same shit.
>oh man this NEW R1 MASH ANIMATION I CAN PLAY 10 MILLION TIMES.
>oh man this NEW PEWPEW IS LIGHTNING INSTEAD OF FIREBALL I CAN PLAY 10 MILLION TIMES.
no.
The only reason to play the games is exploration and bosses and once you've seen em all its done. The builds and shitty barebones movesets are meme shit.

...

you literally placed those at random, didn't you?

>suckiro and drek “souls” 3
>top

you should get your brain checked

based, souls combat has always been fucking terrible.

although admittedly sekiro probably has the best combat of any fromsouls game so far.

I do like that some bosses can have specific vulnerabilities to some prosthetics, like the headless ape getting completely rekt by the spear, the corrupted monk getting wrecked by firecrackers, the demon of hatred getting fucked by the malcontent, lady butterfly getting interrupted by shurikens etc...
Overall the prosthetics aren't as uselss as it may seem at first, I found the axe and the fire vent to be sometimes borderline broken with many enemies

t. Impressionable memefags

It's not terrible.
It's good.
But it's good because of enemies and bosses, not because of what the player can do. It's the opposite of DMC which has tons of player agency in offense while enemies and bosses suck nuts.

how is that? the souls games and sekiro have very similar combat but focus on different aspects, everything at sekiro comba's core is already present in souls

but DMC 1 and 5 have great enemies
the punching bug meme isn't real

How the fuck do people defend the rushed cash grab that was 3
It's like trying to say Ready Player One or the Han Solo movie are good

SOULSBORNEKIRO POWER RANKINGS
DeS=BB>Da1=Sekiro>Da3>>>Da2

This is objective fact and cannot be disputed

sekiro just has a more realised and deeper moveset for both the player and the enemy.

in dark souls enemies have three kinds of attacks

>grab attacks you beat by rolling
>melee attacks you beat by rolling
>ranged attacks you beat by rolling

because the best way you can deal with any given attack is by rolling through it or away from it dark souls combat is a roll simulator.

sekiro has an objectively deeper melee system because there are actually four different attacks with different optimal defences.

>regular attacks you deflect
>thrust attacks you miriki counter
>sweep attacks you jump over
>grab attacks you roll from

sure its technically possible to roll through most of the attacks in the game but its harder to do than addressing each attack with its counter the way you're supposed to.

this means playing properly is encouraged and you end up with a game with a defensive system 4 times deeper than dark souls anaemic style.

plus combat arts are vastly better than the DS3 weapon art system because you can swap them out and prosthetic arts are more realised than magic ever was in dark souls.

I hope fromsoft learns from sekiro making their next mainline game, imagine if weapon arts became techniques you learn from tutors that fit weapon types and go into your attunement slots for a hypothetical dark souls 4 or getting an improved magic system with less individual spells but more dynamic and varied spells with their own combo's and charged/uncharged variants, like soul arrow turning into soul spear when charged or something.

>>most of the shinobi arts and prosthetics are useless and feel like an afterthought
only useless prosthetics are the Sabimaru and divine abduction, rest are situationally broken or generally useful, though you can succeed without using any of them.
>>extremely limited moveset
sure
>>tacked on stealth mechanics with no real use outside of killing one or two mobs before the rest gets aggroed
agree, but stealth is not the main point of the game, its useful on your first playthrough in Ashina Outskirts but it just slows you down afterwards.
% of the levels are visually bland and barely distinct from one another
disagree, all the areas are pretty identifiable
>>the biggest offender: enemies and minibosses are recycled out the ass, this is even the case for some bosses
"reused" bosses are explained with lore and minibuses are fine to re use, it makes sense that there would be multiple Shichimen warriors etc, and they use different movesets and the arenas make it a different experience, the only one that got tiring was the headless
