It's a good game.
Was my goty (not that that's saying much given the shit state of games last year)
Definitely worth playing
I enjoyed it. Combat is definitely the best part about this game.
>t. +100h played
Goty my man, go finish it
Lea!
Hi!
No bullshit? It's actually good? I was a bit weary from the dialogue I've seen, but the combat looked interesting.
the most underated videogame of all time
It's comfy
Why?
It's the best game made since the snes days =)
It's kinda meh. Not bad, but not great either.
Its pretty uncommon to see Yea Forums praising a game this much. Guess I'll give it a try.
People say it suffers from too much puzzles, is that true? I like Zelda dungeons puzzles, but if it's a puzzle every 10 steps, then I'm worried.
Still waiting on that switch release date. I really wanna play this game, and hate playing on PC.
I've seen people complain puzzles are too hard but in my experience you can clear an average zelda temple like dungeons in about an hour. In simple fields puzzles are relatively scarce unless you're progressing up the story.
I'm here to bring a different perspective
I've played about 15 hours of it and kinda just stopped and haven't picked it back up.
The side quests are shit, the main story has still not picked up, the combat is super repetitive and the most fun to be had is against bosses.
The shooting feels shit, the melee feels good but too many enemy types are anti-melee. The abilities you get are okay, but most of them are just, mash attack and press super on cooldown.
The puzzles are okay, but again, a lot of them are about shooting and timing.
I've played with both controller and m+kb, I'd have liked it if they nuked one option and gave one style a 10/10 feel instead of both styles feeling 7/10.
The art style is bordering tumblr-core, Lea is a cute, Emilie is cute, the german guy feels like a developer self-insert, Apollo is serviceable as a funny rival.
I've got more issues with it, picked it up for 15eu, it was worth the time I spent on it but I kinda just feel like it's meh, I have 0 interest in finding out what's going on, and like I said the tumblr art style and dialogue is not helping.
Overall 6.5-7/10, I really wanted to like it and I still want to like it, but I feel like there's better things to be doing than play a mediocre game.
>"wait, you can actually win the dungeon races?"
man speeding the dungeons to win each time would be a colossal pain in the ass
It's like ten times harder than Zelda puzzles and almost every puzzle in the game is on a timer. So not very comfy puzzles but you can slow projectile speeds down.
The dungeons can be multiple hours of puzzles with barely any fights. You can also be in combat for hours with no puzzles outside of dungeons. So you kinda binge both types of gameplay at different points
It's a well made game but it feels like something's missing.
I gave up less than 10 hours in. The dialogue is pretty bad in a way I can't quite put my finger on in a "fan fiction" type of sense like it tries very hard to be quirky and fun but just feels fake. I could have stomached it if the gameplay wasn't such a chorefest. The combat is pretty neat, the puzzles are fine, but everything outside of that is like playing an MMO solo
>Collect 10 things
>Use item on 10 trees
>Kill 10 enemies
Gets old fast. I would have liked the game much more if it was simply an action puzzler with a minimal story and no quest shit. But maybe give it a try for a couple of hours and refund if you don't like it.
>pain in the ass
>The dungeons can be multiple hours of puzzles with barely any fights
Meanwhile I didnt know you could lose the races until grand kryskajo. I even collected chests as well
Wow I feel so smug
This summed it up better than my own post ( ) really. I also wanted to really like it since it looked like it would be very good on paper and had an insane amount of positive reviews on Steam. I'm kinda surprised only 5% of the people who played it thought it was disappointing like I did.
Did you guys play it on full screen?
The game's "engine" is utter shit, lacks any sort of vsync and had the worst tearing I had ever seen in a videogame.
garbage zoomer memey shit.
I think I had it in borderless window because of the tearing in full screen but I can't remember for sure.
>Video game where the setting is inside a video game
This always pisses me off. Can't be the only one, right?
Digital card games also kinda piss me off because why make cards fight when you can take the actual characters and concepts from the cards and make a "proper" game.
