Nah.. it was cool, the stories were fun, but if you really think about it they're just big cutscenes with some trash mobs in between.
Very few decisions, even less meaningful ones (that impact story in any way), no real plot branching, companion interaction got no depth.
I really loved it, but it's definitely not better. It's good, but really different.

Give it a try if you loved KotOR. It's free anyway. Jedi Knight story is pretty much KotOR 3. Light/Gray-ish SW is pretty fun too.
It may suck as MMO in some way, but the original stories were pretty damn good.

KOTOR 1 is amazing, never got around to 2, online basically became a single player game after a while and sounds fun.

Kotor 2, with kotor being a close second.

Only original stories are worth playing. Pretty much all of the expansions were trash (except the first one which was really cool in terms of group content)

It's not even a competetion really. Even half-made broken 2 is an amazing RPG and the single best Star Wars game.
I is great as well though and a must-play for both Star Wars and Sci-fi RPG fans

Should I get into this? My MMO Fallen Earth is ded and has new owners but the update will take a bit, sh-should I make the plunge? Will it not die next week? I know they keep the pop hidden, how many play?

Last time I went on was the end of last year and there were still plenty of people playing. I only played it by myself anyway.
It's not bad, but it's not great either, so take that as you will.
You could spend hundreds and still feel like you're playing it free.
