There was an article with sega claiming they wanted to bring yakuza and persona to the pc.
Yakuza happened.
Dont know why atlus still doesnt want to make releases on other platforms too.
Though today has been a good day not only do i like games like dynasty warriors so i dont mind p5s but also switchfags still owned.
God I can't wait for more poorly ported console games!
>denuvo on pc
I'd like to buy more sega games on pc, I really would, but they just dont want my money.
p5 royal on pc
imagine
kek
Sega EU is working hard to bring ATLUS games to PC.
Persona has some difficulties, but I personally think it's matter of time
Imho bayo1 and yakuza0 were just about average ports
which games
I see that you aren't in the know here. Neither Yakuza 0, Kiwami, Kiwami 2 or Catherine has Denuvo. They are done with it.
Legal issues or game engine issues?
I can also imagine the fight menus being a big issue since they werent really designed for keyboards.
>They are done with it.
>Team Sonic Racing has Denuvo
lmao dude no one cares about that blue hedgeheg anymore
and the game isnt even out yet
yeah this article
the fact they are bringing kiwami 2 so fast makes me hope Judgement won't take too long to be ported.
>pcfag/switchtard still at it
Fuck off just die alrdy
contracts and shit.
Also ATLUS is just super hard to work with, you don't imagine how hard was to get permission for Yakuza and Catherine
I care.
It's more likely to see Catherine Full Body announced for PC. And also more likely they'll port Persona 5 Classic version to PC first and maybe some time after that Persona 5 Royal for PC.
Blue rat should keep suffering, that's why
>yakuza 3 and 4 except censored and all the licenced music removed
Pass. Waiting for them to work on the PS3 emulator instead.
if persona 5 doesn't come out for switch im gonna be so pissed
Wikipedia on Yakuza 0:
Western localization of the game was led by Scott Strichart, associate producer of Atlus USA, who has localized Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, and Yakuza 6.
The team took a year and a half to localize Yakuza 0, which has 1.8 million Japanese characters, nearly twice as many as the average JRPG, which has 1 to 1.2 million Japanese characters.
In addition to challenges translating tone and humor, Strichart's team at Atlus had difficulties localizing traditional Asian games, including Mahjong and Shogi.
In order to make these minigames accessible to Western audiences, Atlus had to provide detailed rules alongside gameplay.
During the localization process, Strichart said the team wrote a total of "34 pages of Mahjong explanation."
>they´d love to port everything, but the manpower to do so would require astronomical translation teams and budget
user...
>badly ported
you really haven't experienced a bad port in your life haven't you?
it's shit anyway bro
>unironically we get a persona 5 classic on steam before Switch gets a port
oh no
>still no phantasy star online 2 english release
i already played it on pc
5/10 game
>Dont know why atlus still doesnt want to make releases on other platforms too.
Wait, Atlus gets a say in the matter? Aren't they a fully owned subsidiary of Sega now?
SEGA doesn't want it released in the west. You can already play it on the japanese servers in english.
Switchfags were already embarassed today. Don't do this to yourself.
it's not like retro studios and nintendo, sega sammy is a conglomerate companies under them have some degree of decision making
the worst part is i'd actually go back and play it after quitting when i already put 600+ hours in
>yakuza and jrpg shit
not even worth a pirate
>now
They have been for over 5 years. forbes.com
Already finished P5, what other SEGA games would you like to see coming for PC?
I just want Project Diva Arcade FT
Sega of America game, not Europe
>have some degree of decision making
Only as far as what their next project will be. Why do you think we're even getting PC ports? SEGA US and EU have more of a say over them than you think.
Yakuza has nothing to do with Atlus
Sakura Taisen 1-5 remaster/translations on PC when
I can't beat the captcha final boss
at the end of the day of course sega's word will be final, but do you think wagie programmer chink nipponawa wants to start developing for pc when he has been doing shit games on consoles, they just gonna make it a hard process
I'd buy shining refrain, puyo puyo tetris, team sonic racing, sonic forces, and valkyria chronicles 4, even if some of those are shit.
Oh I know, but I don't have an interest in those games.
How about you die you fucking dog cunt.
>Shining Resonance Refrain
>Best of anything
I do hope more people buy VC4 though
I'd fucking play the old genesis games on PC. You faggots probably don't remember, the original nintendo, you couldn't fuckign save anything so if you died on super mario or commando even once, you had to start from the beginning. It sucked. Esp commando since it would take you 13 hours sometimes and then you'd die right before you got to the end.
Catherine was ported by a third party company, not Atlus themselves. It doesn't matter what Atlus thinks or says.
Kys
Sega isn't ever coming back. All the talented people left years ago. They're like SNK in 2003 and Rareware after Viva Pinata.
I mean, what else can they realistically port?
just give me Jet Set Radio Future, that's all I care about
Hoping for another Shining game featuring Tony Taka
I don't see project diva there
I don't understand.
Sega EU actually has a special division called Searchlight which looks for studios to establish partnership with for porting or acquisition. That's why EU branch is the one behind all the PC ports.
Was quite a few consoles, some games got around the lack of save via a cheat code which presented it self on each level progression. rock n roll racing did this i think.
It will come with Yakuza 6 since it's playable at arcade.
Best of Japan on PC more like PSO3 never
I would legitimately laugh if they release it as separate version of the game. Like, what the actual fuck, who in the world would buy Persona 5 "classic" when fucking there's literally Royal version coming up.
They can't keep using PSO2 forever right? They'll have to move on for better graphics and a new engine and stuff soon...right??
You'd be surprised how many people do.
they might be already working on Judgment to PC, they were working on Kiwami 2 to PC for a long ass time
since august
steamdb.info
just a week to go and streamers will get the review codes so we can see how it looks, just like with kiwami 1
If it's cheap then who cares. Throw some loyalty discount for the future P5R release and people would buy it like crazy.
They'll probably only start working on it in May or June since the translation has to be ready. I expect 3-5 remasters announcement for both PS4 and PC, FotNS Lost Paradise and Shin Sakura Taisen. Anything from Atlus or Vanillaware will be a nice surprise.
As much as I want Judgment soon, it'll be at least until the end of the year / next year until we see news for it on PC. Sadly.
I expect we'll get Yakuza 3-4, FotNS before that or even Yakuza 6, since they seem to be doing things in order for PC. (Yakuza 6 PC was hinted for a release ages ago in one of their financial reports, yet Kiwami 2 got announced earlier)
Didn't know this noice
GoG when?
Steam is a toxic relationship I'm trying to get out of.
just pirate
Where is Phantasy Star?
But I want to support games I like.
They have a forum thread to help with it or the TL Discord
>Persona 5
>Yakuza 3
>Yakuza 4
>PSO2 English
>Sonic Unleashed
Don't give a SHIT about anything else.
I wonder how many people with toasters will complain about k2's performance.
PSO2 has four more years of new content so don't expect PSO3 anytime soon
>persona 5: classic
I'd be so fucking mad
>people are STILL begging for pso2 english
holy shit you actual retards
Ruskies with 730 and 750ti for sure. Also South Americans.
>It's more likely to see Catherine Full Body announced for PC.
Not with the trannies sperging on Twitter and Reshitera about their champion being retconned in-universe.
Literal cucks who can't into the fan TL
I'm glad this shit will never hit the west after touching the SEA version for shits and giggles. The west can't handle this game.
>being excited for any of those
pcbros are getting desperate
Right? PSO2 is shit, people should be begging for a PSO3
...
>minium GeForce GTX 660, 2 GB / Radeon HD 7870, 2 GB
>specially since Kiwami actually was a better port than 0
I highly doubt people will complain unless they use ancient tech
SEGA is dying and this is them grasping at straws
>ATLUS is just super hard to work with, you don't imagine how hard was to get permission for Yakuza
You're THAT kid, aren't you
Sega/Atlus is like literally the only third party publisher Sony still kind of has, due to Yakuza (already getting on PC), Miku and Persona.
>hype
>for games that already released many years ago
why tho? just go and play those instead
idiot children
>they didn't give up and just play JP after sega went radio silent in 2013
>they didn't give up after the SEA release happened and fucking died in less than a year
>they didn't give up after not even getting a NOVA announcement
>they didn't give up after the episode 4 anime came to crunchyroll and sega was STILL silent on a western release
>they didn't give up after sega didn't renew the domain on pso2.com and just let it die
>they didn't give up after about 6 years (and counting) of people telling them we'd get a watered down version missing loads of content
Why are english players so fucking retarded.
We still wouldn't get it.
Then let them die and grasp at straws. I love that I can play vanquish and Yakuza without having to hook up my old PS3 or PS4.
meant to
virtua fighter
>realizing consoles are a dying breed is death
I'm pretty sure that's enlightenment, not death.
I know right, sega has never been known to do goofy shit in the past before.
>Persona 5: Classic
Atlus are so fucking deranged in their policies they won't release anything on PC even if Sega who owns them demands so.
It sucks because the timing is so shit to announce a P5 Classic port. Right after Royal gets announced, here you go, shitty leftovers of the old one lol.
If it had just happened at any time between 2017 and last month, I would've been happy with it. But they took their sweet ass time and now there is no way I'm buying P5 on PC unless it's Royal
Catherine
>consoles are dying
kek
stop trolling
They are releasing a new anime that tells the story of Episodes 1-3 basically confirming West never ever
damn... I got told
for real though, Catherine is a weird one if only because they decided to release the vanilla version despite the new one coming out literally a few months later
I want to be hopeful but Atlus is Atlus
>Reading comprehension
I know, and these retards will still be sitting here begging for PSO2 NA. PSO2 will shut down and we'll get PSO3/Universe 2 and these absolute fuckwits will still be begging for PSO2 NA
comprehend this dick
up your ass
How are you liking Sega's redemption arc so far?
>illiterate
>m-muh dik
Dumb fucking nigger, how embarassing
>announce PC games a week before they come out
>PogChamp ports
>PogChamp prices
PogChamp
>Ayo lil Donnie eat shit.
It's not a redemption until they bring their games to GoG.
shut the fuck up you underage twitch cuck
I have a ps3 and I'm not buying again the same game 2 times, I want the game to be released on PC to pirate it
>Port done by SEGA Europe
>not even released on the Japanese Steam site
don't give a flying fuck those games
wake me up they port JSR and JSRF
How does it prove anything wrong?
Kusoge
it is not problem they would likely ofter some discount to the Royal version if they relased it after
>JSR
what?
>JSRF
fucking do this already
It's for thr best that ports are outsourced by Sega EU since Atlus has no experience with PC whatsoever. Fuckinf Full Body is 30 FPS despite looking like a PS3 game and P5R will be 30 FPS too. If they pulled that shit on PC reviews would destroy them.
That said Catherine port was pretty bad but it was clearly a budget one since the studio behind it only has two people working in it. Hopefully potential future Atlus titles will be handled by someone more high-profile. Durante perhaps?
This, just look at how many cucks bought Catherine classic
Reminder that JSRF remaster or Jet Set 3 is coming.
I just want Sonic Jam 2 on the retro engine
>nothing about madworld and/or anarchy reign
>>Persona 5: Classic
Fuck that shit. I want P1 and P2 collection
I’m surprised Sega hasn’t backhanded them yet.
There’s a reason these retards almost went broken
Just mod the music back in like with 0.
The thing that baffles me the most is their inefficiency. RGG studio can release game every year with a new engine development in the meantime while Fatlus takes 3 years to upgrade textures and add a few things to an already released game.
>P3FES on Steam with achievements
I just want Panzer Dragon Saga and Panzer Dragoon Orta to be ported to FUCKING ANYTHING. PC would be nice but I'd take Switch or PS4 too.
RGG studio has two teams working on the games, if there was only one, we'd get one game every two years or longer
>google tier reaction images
>absolute utter shit taste
checks out
Jesus fucking Christ
>Daytona USA 2 never got ported
>Sega Super GT never got ported
>Panzer Dragoon Orta is never getting ported
>House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn CAN'T be ported
Everything sucks.
>Fatlus takes 3 years to upgrade textures and add a few things to an already released game.
I mean someone has to make all the dancing games and not_etrian_odyssey spinoffs. Motherfuckers are busy.
It would be really cool if after bayo 4 comes out Nintendo allows a pc port of bayo 2. The modding would be great.
Fatlus has 3 teams (4 including Vanillaware) and their games take forever to release anyway.
>Sega of America game, not Europe
Sega of Europe are the ones in charge of pc ports for all Sega games, though. Sonic Mania only got stuffed with Denuvo at the last minute because of Sega of Europe.
Those games are mobage-tier when it comes to complexity. Besides, EO is done by 1st dev studio (the one behind SMT).
at least I don't pay $60 to play the same game over and over
Fucking PORT Sakurai Taisen 1-4 to PC you niggers
There's no need to port them since they're already on PC. The problem is they're not translated.
>you really haven't experienced a bad port in your life haven't you?
Some of the Sega ports have been awful. Resonance of Fate in particular:
>last-gen game
>fixed camera angles
>areas so small it only takes a few steps before you hit a screen transition
>NPCs are stationary, nothing going on in the background
>combat takes place in tiny, isolated and featureless battle arenas
>looked dated even at the time it came out
And it somehow runs like absolute garbage on high-end PCs. The hell?
Lame
PSO2 is coming!
sega had nothing to do with resonance of fate port
double check next time
you need to accept that its not
>Miku
>persona
>football manager every year
>pso2 still making money
>border break and arcades in general
>dying
Go ahead and tell us how sega is dying.
Go on, make us laugh.
>catherine has no japanese localization, just voices on PC
aaaaaaaaaa
don't do this to me with persona, sega you have japanese text available in yakuzas too and i've preordered all of them day 1
Free games is aways nice.
kys weeb
KYS weeb
i bought it, i'm not waiting around for years to get a game that isn't even ported to the west, let alone to PC from a developer that historically does not port any of their games even the ones they publish to the PC. it's not the new content is a must have when the base game is fun.
success breeds jealousy
i'm not playing anything unless i can expeeience it the way you were meant to experience it
it's your own fault you don't have a soul
>sega had nothing to do with resonance of fate port
>Hired and paid the studio that ported it
>Approved the port, which means they though it was good enough
>Nothing to do with it
>No Jet Set Radio Future ports
>no skies of Arcadia gamecube port
>Game that's not even out yet has denuvo
Hessefags sure do like to make things up.
>hopes

Is that a picture of yourself? Sega has never advertised RoF PC and isn't even listed as the publisher on Steam.
you can literally look at the steam page you retard
> best of japan
> shining resonance
haha, is that you on the pic you retarded monkey?
God, you're pathetic.
>switch underpowered than other mainstream consoles, big releases have pretty much dried up
>ps4 has maybe 3-4 exclusives per year at most, most end up on PC within a year or two
>xbone a running joke
Dude's got a point
Catherine Classic can't be bought in Japan so it has no Japanese text. Yakuza games can be bought in Japan so they have Japanese text. What's interesting is that there's no Chinese and Korean text in the PC versions of Yakuza games.
Sorry I've been so late, voting now up.
strawpoll.me
tri-Ace did the port and published it you retard. Sega had nothing to do with it.
Golden Axe warrior
The fact that PC is objectively the best platform since it gets all Xbox games, vast majority of PS4 console exclusives and even some Nintendo third-party games won't make consoles obsolote for the sole reason that the average gamer is a complete retard that's too dumb to build and maintain a gaming PC. Even this board which is supposed to be filled with gaming enthusiast is filled to the brim with such people.
>Persona 5: Classic
As much as I absolutely believe neither Atlus nor Sega will ever bring Persona to PC, If they ever did I have no doubt they'd pull this bullshit.
The fact that PC is an option in both JP and USA surveys since last year means that it's possible. Furthermore, unlike Switch, PC version has Sega EU behind it which would handle all the work regarding port. Literally all Atlus would have to do is give them the source code. If not for some internal problems regarding getting the source code and Fatlus being absolute retards we would have Persona on PC long ago. I think saying Sega will never bring Persona to PC is very silly. Imo it's only a matter of time. The problem is the wait might be way longer than we'd like.
>everyone praises Yakuza 0 like the holy grail
>try it
>moviesimulator with more cutscenes than gameplay
>more unskippable dialogue than a visual novel, even mashing advance as fast as you can every conversation takes 5 mins
>backtrack across the tiny city ten times to mash through another 5 mins of conversation
>oh you got stopped by random reskinned thugs to waste more of your time
>side missions are all >japanese humor
>minigames are 2000s era flash website garbage
>QTEs out the ass and "press X for cool!"
This is literally Japanese TLOU.
IT'S OKAY WHEN JAPAN DOES IT.
>Catherine Classic
>Persona 5 Classic
Sega need to stop this shit, while having enhanced versions set to release on other consoles within the same year. Fuck that and fuck them.
Are you seriously not satisfied with your daily thread so you have to shit up other threads too?
Then why are you here you subhuman anglo iphone nigger
Why do they even take so long to translate their games? So many JP publishers have simultaneous releases with the West these days yet they take half year with everything. I have a feeling they have some big internal pipeline problems when it comes to communication between JP studios and Western translation teams.
Then buy on steam but use cracked copy. You can buy even without installing steam client.
Are we going to get Puyo Puyo?
Yes, the new one (eSports/Champions) has already been announced for Steam.
>hyped
PSO2 fans are still waiting for the western release.
They will promise everything and deliver NOTHING.
WHERE THE FUCK IS MY NON-ARCADE-PIRATED MIGU GAME YOU PIECES OF SHIT REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Because Sega is a fractured company where the different regions don't co-operate much.
Sega of Europe only gets shit to port/localise only after Sega Japan releases it.
The bright side is that Sega of Europe has become probably the best single PC publisher and Sega Japan has left them alone to do whatever the fuck they want, likely because they print money.
Atlus does the localization of Yakuza.
I mean a proper Puyo Puyo game, not a half-baked budget release.
That's Atlus USA though and they're just localization and publishing studio under Sega of America. Far cry from Atlus proper which develops games.
I wish SEGA would bring some of their older Sonic PC releases to Steam, optimised for modern setups.
For example: pic related
they print money thanks to total war and football manager
dog bless, keep it up rtsfags
What does it say?
They created a whole new division called Searchlight that seeks studios either for acquisition or partnership. The division's efforts (which included finding studios to port their console titles) were deemed a huge success by Sega.
>Sonic Unleashed and Colors artwork used in a Sonic Steam Sale advert
Where the FUCK are they?
TRANSLATE THE PUYO GAMES.
FUCK.
It was an error on Valve's behalf. It doesn't confirm anything.
>Persona 5: Classic
>Classic
I hate this shit
What's next, the original Fiendless/Danteless version of Nocturne and SMTIV by itself? No Golden port?
>Catherine Classic can't be bought in Japan
Japanese companies in charge of PC
works on my machine, honestly
Who the fuck cares about this shit. WHERE IS MY JET FUCKING SET FUCKING RADIO MOTHERFUCKING FUTURE?
They probably figured it'd be really bad to release Classic the same month Full Body gets released on PS4 in Japan. At least when it comes to the West there's a 6 month gap between Classic and Full Body, so considering the low price of $20 it can be excused somewhat. Yakuza games and VC4 can be bought in Japan (and while VC1 is not in the store, you can activate third-party keys in Japan) so it's not like Sega has a policy of not releasing PC versions in Japan.
>2019
>still no virtua fighter games on PC
Yeah i'm thinking they are gonna announce Full Body on E3 and the best part is whoever owns Classic can get a discount for Full Body. Here's to being hopeful.
Sega is trash beside Sonic Mania where is Mania 2 fucking Sega fags
That's what I was always thinking. People thinking Full Body would come as DLC are retarded. Not only does it use different engine making it impossible, but it's much easier to market a new game than a DLC. Hopefully it's announced at this E3, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was next year's or, God forbid, even further down the line.
>no persona 5
yikes Sega
yikes
>persona 5 classic
can already be emulated and is pretty much a waste of time to port
where the fuck are my shin megami tensei games anyway
It's never a waste of time to port games. Y0 helped Kiwami and viceversa
JSRF runs on the CXBX (xbox) emulator at full 60 fps
this is from a year ago
