Switch's sales during last year

Switch's sales during last year.
I think it is doing well but releasing fuck nothing for the first half of the year is not the smartest choice.
Already surpassed GC and N64 total sales in its first two years on the market, on its way to surpass SNES and NES.

They're buttloading the 2nd half.
Mario Maker
Fire Emblem
Luigi's Mansion
Animal Crossing
Pokemon

I think they thought Smash and a shitty pokemon spin-off would carry them in this first quarter. Selling only around 1.5 million in Q1 is pretty sub-par

I wonder when are they going to announce the SNES Online service, or the Wii/GC emulation/ports they already provided in the same hardware in nvidia's store, if ever.

They sold 2.5 million

DaemonXMachina
Bayonetta3 (rumored )
Zelda
Town
Dragon Quest XI S
Astral Chain

Literally retarded since all those games will cannibalize each other.

the switch is literally the best selling console of 2019 despite only having Yoshi and a new soup re-release for the first half

Not 2019

Pokémon sales completely halted.
Smash is still selling

>will cannibalize each other.
I don't really think so. Back catalogue is important, and those games are varied enough.

>not 2019
What? All the games I listed are coming out in 2019, except MAYBE for Bayo but there are some rumors about it coming out by the end of the year.
Every other game already has a release window, with DXM and Astral coming out in summer, Zelda Link's Awakening and DQXI in winter and Town somewhere this year.

AC most likely got delayed to 2020

AC most likely got canned and will never come out

Also, if the stimates are right, after Mario Maker 2 there will be yet another Wii U rerelease. Make your bets, Pikmin 3 to advertise Pikmin 4, W101 for Astral Chain, Mario 3D World because it'll be there whether you like it or not?

AC most likely got banned in all countries

>ugh can you believe nintendo thought they could get away with this?
>look at this disaster!

It's fucking AC, stop pretending there's something to fuck up with the most stable minded game series since Dragon Quest.

Nah bro, it's clearly dead and they sold the rights to Valve. AC is a Steam EXCLUSIVE now.

That would be the worst thing imo

Do I look like Nintendo? Why the fuck should I care how many releases the system sees in a year? I care about the games themselves, I don't care when they come out or on what platform. The Switch was worth it for Splatoon 2 alone, the fact that it has a bunch of other good games is a bonus. The PS4 was worth it for Bloodborne alone, the fact that it has a bunch of other good games is a bonus. I also have a PC that can play basically everything. I literally cannot comprehend the mindset of people who fret over game releases being too sparse, I always have something good to play, always. Not once in over twenty fucking years have I gone "well gee, I'm just plain out of vidya".

i would like it

Third party complain about having to directly compete against Nintendo first party games so Nintendo purposefully leave the first half of the year barren just for them.

While they keep the whole of christmas season and summer to themselves? Win win.

and yet they publish nothing

>Q1 report
>Blockbuster sale ends today
>exactly midway point to E3

What are the changes of a Direct?

Almost feels like third party are just making excuses about not wanting to make games for the Switch or something, doesn't it?

Why didn’t they release Xenoblade 2 during the first half of 2018?
