HZD has robot dinos that are pretty fun to stalk and kill, and robosaur fighting is enough, a decent story is an extra. Fuck even Skyrim has plenty to do and interact with, even if its the equivalent of light beer and empty calories. The Witcher series makes most hunts more interesting than "kill that thing". Spiderman has clear, personal motivations and you ALWAYS feel like Spiderman. You stop random crimes because... well, you're the friendly neighborhood Spiderman.

You cant be late to a fad, have boring quests, and have a boring MC who just exists so that players have a face and flesh to recognize as an avatar.

I don't know much about it, just based on what I saw from a review your bike gets damaged if you hit anything, including zombies, plus falling damage. The whole game is about the bike but it's fragile. I get they wanted to make it realistic or survivor-esque but it's just dumb

Crackdown 2 was also released under the pretense "more Crackdown!" and people hated it because open world games had changed by then. Days Gone has been canceled and you will get an official announcement around late March. The game was quietly put down around October of last year after the mixed reception from both E3s and Sony not seeing the project reaching the quality standards that the team was hoping for. There are a lot of other reasons like the game being one of the few PS4 exclusive titles that the team could not get a working demo to play on the base level PS4, and delaying the game till 2020 would’ve been a disaster and not worth the effort. It is a suspect that The Last of Us 2 is also another reason for the cancelation, as Sony wanted to release Days Gone in 2019 before The Last of Us 2 releases in 2020, as both games are way too similar to release in the same year.

Studio Bend has been shifted to help with a New IP among other teams for the PS5. Whether or not they will use assets from Days Gone is unknown at this point. However, It should be pointed out that Days Gone is canceled and the development did NOT shift to the PlayStation 5. Sony does not what any more bad PR from long development titles like Gran Turismo 5 and The Last Guardian, as they are not worth they effort.

It has actual gameplay that is fun and isn't a series of bad cinematics bookending walking sim sections and shooting galleries with the worst controls in gaming history. You actually have to use your mind and problem solve (on Hardcore anyway). It comes with multiple bonus modes that just add value as well. RDR2 collapsed under thr weight of its own ambition/ego. It's a pretentious, plodding chore. I was a giant fan of RDR1 and Rev, but RDR2 was shit. You barely spend any time engaging in outlaw activities like bank robberies, which are the best parts of the game. It suffers from basically the same issues as GTAV, but at least driving around and causing mayhem was fun in that game. You don't even get that with how RP the game is. And I wouldn't mind hyper-immersive RP at all if the gameplay/story didn't suck ass. The trick worked on me for the first couple of chapters, but I'm not dumb enough to be deceived by godrays for very long.
