What’s the best gaming laptop?
Gaming Laptop
Gaming laptops are extremely over-inflated in price. Don't fall for this meme; invest in a prebuilt desktop that is on sale or build one yourself.
Gaming laptops overheat and parts cannot be upgraded or replaced. Because they are warmer the parts fail faster and you are forced to buy an entire new laptop. If you can't get a desktop just get a console until you have the stability to get one.
kys faggot, he didn't mention anything about upgrades and he didn't mention anything about price. All he asked was which one is the best
the one with the best graphics card and control processing unit
The point is you won't get as much value out of a laptop as a desktop. Laptops are overpriced to begin with and you won't be able to use them for nearly as long because you can't replace parts.
>gaming laptop
Gaming laptops are for faggots
Asus Desktop Replacements line of laptops. Try to get a deal where they are like $500 off and they are surprisingly worth it.
Buy an ultraportable and add an external GPU.
Expensive but better than any gaming laptop.
I understand your 'point'. MY point is that your point has nothing to do with the question at hand
>Asus Desktop Replacements line of laptops
lol hold my beer kid
External gpus imply immobility/lack of easy mobility
Just get a desktop at that point
And you are retarded for thinking that. I genuinely feel bad for you, seething incel
>Keep thinking I want to start playing games on PC again
>Forget that its just shitty fucking mobas, FPS, and MMORPGs all raped by microtransactions and shitty proprietary launchers which sell your data to third party advertisers.
You gotta jump your price of the laptop up another $1500, but yeah you can grab some pretty insane gaming laptops for $3500-$4000 in 2019.
I still got a 144hz ips display, RGB keyboard, 1080 desktop card, and i7 4.1ghz 6 core for $2200. My friends tried to buy me we same power for $2200 with a prebuilt and couldn't do it. The monitor and keyboard always went over $2200.
I'm full idort. PC is only good for Blizzard games and mobas. I still use my consoles more.
I personally just use my pc for Stellaris with mods and Heroes of the Storm.

If you know what you're doing, Asus G-series fat models tend to be the best.
This is primarily because they're constructed more like desktops. They don't use glue to hold the whole thing together, so you can easily open them up and service the components. All components are also standard and not hard soldered together, so if things break or need an upgrade you can just do that.
To top it off, they have a very clever airflow system that more or less stops heat throttling from being an issue. They get hot as fuck and are super loud, but they can easily match desktop performance at full pelt.
Obviously, it's more expensive than a desktop. But you pay for the convenience. There's something really satisfying about being able to just plop it down, plug and play. If you're tight on space or expect to move houses a lot, it's really nice.
As a footnote: Avoid "slim" gaming laptops. It's not that they don't work, it's just that they're always built like garbage because the "macbook pro" form factor is designed to sell to rich normies who are going to use it for emails and then replace it in 2 years when the glue or fan bearings wear out and there are noreplacement parts.
4K is also a total meme, try to avoid it because you don't get anything out of 4K on an 18 inch screen and your performance will TANK.
I already got a good gaming PC, I do need a laptop for uni though. Whats some good shit that has come out recently that is not really gaming oriented? Max I would probably pay is like 1300-1500 if it looks like it would last a long while.
Don't bully him.
He needs to be able to play at his dad's house and his mom's house.
An ultra portable is a lot more mobile than a gaming laptop if you don't need the GPU all the time. You can still bring the GPU once a month when you want to play a game with friends.
Also has the advantage that you can upgrade the GPU later.
Of course there are other uses cases where you need the GPU with you all the time.
How about none?
I don't disagree with you at all, but let's be honest about this thread.
This is not some dude that has a job that requires him to travel.
He just wants a gaming laptop.
The Intel Inspiring 15 Gaming ain't bad.
It's like 700 at the moment, but I remember getting it at a discount fot like 500. I mainly use it as an emulator machine but it runs current gen games medium-low and last gen games on high without burning up.
>Intel Inspiring
That's inspiron. My bad.
No one cares about YOUR point tho
Please don't fall for the gaming laptop meme. I got one of those MSI laptops and it was nothing but trouble until I replaced it for an actual desktop a couple of years later.
Bump
I kind of want one just bc I hate sitting in my came chair since it's so fucking uncomfortable. But how would you ever fit your fucking GPU into a laptop? I suspect in the next 2o years the chinks will steal the technology from whatever White man comes up with it, but until the everyone is fucking stuck.
>$3000
>still a 250GB solid state
pathetic
Not the best, but the Dell G7s are great if you want a powerful laptop without the trashy gamer aesthetic. They're basically Alienwares disguised as normal Dell laptops.
>But how would you ever fit your fucking GPU into a laptop?
Just buy one of these external GPU things and plug it into your portable computer. Still need a decent processor on your laptop, though.
This is all fucking TRUE.
I had a dell vostro 7000something that was based, get that if they still make them, not even a gayming laptop so you don't look like a fag
>buy gaming laptop
>try to game
>gets so hot you literally cannot place it on your lap
>gets so loud you need to wear headphones to hear anything over the jet engines trying to cool your nuclear reactor
>components fail one by one starting with wifi card, then battery, then motherboard
>gaming "laptop"
Unless you already have a desktop and want something on the side, don't get memed.
That sucks though too because how long until you drop it, spill a diet coke on it, lose it in the folds of the couch or the folds of a fat slut, whatever. it never works.
>gets so hot you literally cannot place it on your lap
Put a book there
>gets so loud you need to wear headphones to hear anything over the jet engines trying to cool your nuclear reactor
Not that loud and you should be using headphones anyway
Next
I have a wooden lap desk. Sure it works, but it's uncomfortable and basically traps me inside. Might as well buy a TV and desktop and just game on that, laptop is maximum uncomfy gaming.
And bullshit, it is VERY loud when playing any kind of 3d game, to the point where it annoys me and my wife both.
>be retarded
