Did a 2 hours arbitration today with some pals to test the new revive system and get the aura forma blueprint, it was fun. At some point I was the only one alive and had to maneuver around lvl 240 enemies that could 1 shot me while carrying index burdens; managed to revive them but we all got 1 shot shortly after except for one of them and he had to extract.

They made it so you switch weapons by simply attacking with whatever weapon you want, so if you want to switch to melee weapon you hit melee, or if you want to switch to guns you press shoot, or aim. it sounds cool at first until you hear it removes a bunch of shit like being able to block because it uses the same button you use to aim, and completely removed quick melee attacks and windmilling, even without stance mods equipped.

At first I was against the revive, I though it was a safety net for babies and just made people more lax and likely to die knowing they can revive, but it was fun to run around trying to revive my teammates, knowing that if I died it was all over.
Honestly they just need to make arbitration have normal rotation reward instead of double rotation system, it's a waste of time, also reward more vitus essence per rotation would be good too.

I have absolutely no fucking clue what you're supposed to do in this game. I've started it three or four times, each time I hit a point where the initial story quests end and I have no idea what you're supposed to do next. Sometimes I'm doing a mission and other players pop up and clear the whole map while the dialogue plays and the map ends before I find out what happened in the story. The menus scare the shit out of me too, I understand it's probably a cool system but without help I have not been able to figure it out. Warframe looks cool as fuck and I love the way the devs run the game, but I just feel like shit when I play it knowing I'm doing everything wrong.

You're not incorrect, but it will slightly vary depending on status/crit values.

Some guns can hit 100% status, like Staticor, but because it doesn't shoot multiple pellets natively like a shotgun, you're actually pretty well off just putting the crit pistol mods on it for damage, and it'll still proc status often enough with 1 dual-status mod. Some shotgun-type weapons will basically only have the one build that uses 4 dual-status elemental mods to build that status to 100% to shred armor or in the case of Tigris P, viral/rad because of the high native slash damage and its capacity to just straight bleed dot + viral proc an enemy despite armor.

Then there is also some play with melee weapons, just because of combo multiplier, desired attack speed/reach, and whether it's viable to build for condition overload or maiming strike. There's a few setups that generally work well.

But yes, generally, if it's a primary or secondary weapon, there's about ~5 or 6 mods that are basically guaranteed to show up on >80% of all weapons. (base damage, multishot, firing speed, crit mods if viable, elemental(s), etc.). Melee weapons vary more since there tends to be a good diversity with whether you want to maiming strike or condition overload or bloodrush or a pick 2 of the previous 3 archetypes.

It's sort of rare to get prebuilt forma. Else, forma blueprints and spending 24 hours real world time waiting is pretty mobile-phone-game bullshit just to try to upgrade a particular weapon/warframe to be usable in endgame activities.

Also, unless you login everyday to keep that forma blueprint cooking all the time, whenever you do play, you'll often find you don't have enough forma to finish out that build you want.

So while I wouldn't say they're correct, they are pointing out that forma are generally huge pain point with the game's progression.

To be fair, it's easy to get screwed and get a bunch of shitty 5-10p prime parts from relics instead of a Forma when you want it. After that, it's like a 2-3% chance across the board to get one from anywhere else, including Sorties, unless you grind Lua until your soul has left your body. Best part is that you can't even sell those prime parts to go buy some Forma without a trip to the Index because of the asinine tax, and between that tax and the build times, they're not even hiding their aggressive tactics for trying to make you a buyfag.

No. The game really had so much potential when starting out. The final straw for me was when they sold out to the Chinese for a quick buck when originally they wanted to be independent and do their own thing. I quit way before then, but that made me drop them entirely.

I think what really pissed me off with this game and made me actually quit it was they constantly did a lot of stupid stuff. For example, rather than build on the core gameplay foundations they had at the start, they essentially just left it as is for the most part. This ultimately resulted in people just rushing through these big maps entirely and when it came time to actually fight, they just threw the same few braindead enemies at you, then just spammed even more at you mindlessly because of poor game balance. There was no real skill or strategy. It also didn't help that they would add other content to the game and then just basically let it die and move on to the next thing that caught their interest.

Animal companions got buffed a lot, so it's not necessarily always best to have a sentinel, although animal companions are typically only best if you have a tanky warframe that had good enough base defense and used (umbral) vitality. A tanky warframe like Bless Trinity still often relied on Quick Thinking, and Link-health/armor/shield doesn't give your animal much self-survivability.

So it's kind of warframe dependent to determine if sentinel or animal is better, then if it's sentinel you're giving up Helios scanning/deconstructor prime's relative damage output if you want Carrier Prime to carry your ammo consumption. And even at the end of the day, mass corrosive procs weren't necessarily needed if you had a warframe that could strip armor via abilities anyways, like Saryn anyways.

Corrupted mods give less plat but selling them is so much easier that it's worth it

In case you're genuinely stupid, I'll explain.
In games like Warframe, player's progression is a very slow and repetitive process by design. These games are time sinks, hence they take a lot of time.
To make the game feel less stale, devs introduce updates adding new content. It's the model games like Warframe use to stay popular.

However, during the last ~2 years of me playing the game, all the updates were focused on introducing new characters / weapons / mechanics which added pretty much nothing to the game as a whole at the stage I was playing it. Even the "giant update" (Plains) that spiked Warframe's popularity was essentially a self-contained alternative play-mode that had little to no effect on the main game itself.
Playing through "all the content of Warframe" takes thousands of hours - it's intended to take this long. Saying
>"well you played for longer than 20 seconds - what are you complaining for?"
is retarded. The problem lies not with the amount of content itself (let alone play time) but with its relevance and direction. It's like saying
>"why are you complaining about content in WoW? You can play it with every single race in the game completing every single quest in the game and it'll take you forever to do so!"

If you play say PoE, you don't start a new character after completing the game once - you continue playing. There is content to *continue* playing the game. And yes, for thousands of hours. The problem with Warframe is not that it always lacked said content, is that it refuses to introduce it years after years.

Additionally, unveiling rivens are retarded chores, and if you unveil garbage nobody wants to play with anyways, like a Prova riven, then trying to sell an unrolled Prova riven even for cheap takes an asinine amount of time even if you lowball it, and then you keep getting riven mods from daily sorties, and you're constantly hitting fucking riven capacity and dissolving them for pitiful amounts of endo or rerolling multiple into a new weapon (that is also shit) is also a feel bad moment.

I just sell the veiled rivens of a particular weapon category now. It's literally not even worth the effort to unveil them, because at least when they're veiled, there is a healthy market of people trying to lootbox their way into a good weapon type, and then trying to kuva roll into useful stats.

Last time I played warframe was when Sacrifice was released. I basically played the quest and like an hour more.

Uhhh, I was in agreement with you before, but Amprex is actually one of the better weapons in game, particularly due to easy conversion to pure corrosive damage and fast beam weapon damage ticks/status applications, and the high base crit chance also combos well with hunter munitions. You generally melt armor away in an AoE and can apply lots of slash procs if you use hunter munitions, leading to easy horde killing.

Additionally, shotguns, on average, are one of the best weapon categories in the game, reflected by the fact that veiled shotgun rivens are worth more than any other riven type, and while there ARE bad shotguns like the phage, there are plenty of strong ones like tigris p, arca plasmor, corinth, both heks, strun wraith, etc. Others can also be good with very specific riven setups like Drakgoon (100% status with Mag's bubble), Kohm (100% status with carrier prime), or Sobek (acid shells build).

Nowadays, Your basic gear has more than enough drain to handle starchart content at rank 0, and by the time you're actively grinding out weaponry, you're running 4 missions at 60% power, and by the 5th, you're a smidge below capped.

The real problem is that you're not told by the game what's essential to reach this transitional stage,and good luck getting a community member to help you with it since they murdered clans by ending any competitive content.

For what purpose though? I have few frames maxed almost completely, had my share of fun with Lenz (one of the best mechanics in the game) and with my go to frames like Octavia or Nidus, what am I supposed to do now? More grind? The only thing I might be interested in is the new frame that uses shields for his abilities but I heard the frame is a complete shitshow.
