The only fun in this game is going to bitterback early and trying to get through with your low level character. The world, combat and story outside of that is completely garbage.

Big bosses. Everything else is bad or boring.

You cna make your pawn play both vocations for some time and decide for yourself. Both can be useful, both are in demand by other arisens.
Mage pawns need less training to be good at what they are supposed to do, whereas sorcerer pawns are arguebly are more useful just for their firepower.

Seriously, everything about this game is great. This is the game Skyrim desperately wanted to be but couldn't realize it. It truly pains me to trash Bethesda and Skyrim because I am such a huge fan of Morrowind and even Oblivion. But Bethesda has fallen well behind its competitors. Witcher 3 is probably the class of the high-fantasy PC RPG genre. Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen round out the top three in the genre.

If Bethesda doesn't raise the bar and produce something truly groundbreaking with TESVI, they will be surpassed again by the next editions of Witcher, Kingdom Come, and Dragon's Dogma.

If the gender has no bearing on stats, I usually go with a female character because I'd rather have a good looking female to look at rather than a male. I have never considered the video game character to be me, so I never felt a need to make the character look like me. I imagine the video game character as a character I just met, knowing nothing about this character but interested to discover it. Some people immerse themselves by believing they are the character. Yeah. I tried to give DD another go to impress me and show me some fun but the only fun I had was exploring Cassardis right at the start and trying to make it through Bitterback Isle. Once I left it just got boring. I don't like spammy combat or playing dress up and I've never like DMC or MMOs and this feels like a mix of the two. I'm going to go start another play through of Zero Misson and also finish soloing G rank in 3U instead.

Literally everything I tell people on a regular basis that Dragons Dogma is the game people should of been playing instead of Skyrim.

They're following Skyrim's example and porting 1 to literally everything first. We still need a calculator port of Dark Arisen before they make 2.

But seriously, Itsuno is probably working on it now since he finished DMC5. He hinted at wanting to do it so I think it's very likely happening.
