>gets his shit rocked by Shao Khan even after getting Baraka and company’s help
>has his ass saved by Kitana before Shao Khan can end him
>ends up paralysed
>literally makes Kitana Khan even though she looked up to him to lead
>even gets killed in his own trailer

He was even a bitch in the first game. Both Kung Jin and Jacqui kicked his ass in the story. Glad his weak ass is no longer ruler of Outworld.

I've only seen the first bits of the story mode, but who is actually still on Kotal's side at the start of the game? Obviously D'Vora's gone. Ferra/Torr's MIA. Erron doesn't seem to be around. The guy seems to be running Outworld all on his lonesome.

Future erron was still on his side and shows up for 5 seconds in the end. That's about it for mkx characters tho

He was a jobber in the comics. He only won because of plot armor dictated him to win via asspull.

11 has a pretty good story. Certainly not up to 9's level but I liked it more than I thought I would. Only part I hated was present Erron Black does nothing, not even as an NPC. Hos model exists in two scenes, but not even consistently. It's like they planned a chapter then scrapped it.

Not a big deal but it's really weird since every other character has interactions with their alternate selves

Kollector is honestly pretty based, I like his whole deal. They didn't have to kill off so many good characters though, that's horseshit.

The hell are you talking about? He had multiple wins and had a great personality and dynamic there. Also, even if those wins are forced via plot armor and via aspull, aren't his losses in MKX the inverse? Forced losses due to him needing to be a jobber?

I 100% agree because I love his design and aztec blood warriors are baller. Yet in every opportunity they make him seem like a complete jobber who gets his ass handed to him. Fuck netherrealm.

Via asspull. It was stated many times that without the sun he couldn't channel his powers yet he somehow manages to do it and nukes Rain. Then despite getting his shit pushing in hard by Goro he just manages to rip his arms off despite being totally beaten.

It is. Which is why the comics had so many problems. One minute Kotal is this unstoppable badass, only for him to job harder than Reptile to a bunch of 20 year olds and a lame ass bug lady.

I like Kotals moveset and design but his character is shit and him being the Emperor is kinda dumb. At least him being able to hold that power. Would have been better if Outworld just stayed in a constant state of civil war. We would have got to keep characters like Mileena and company if this had been the case.

I'm hoping in MK12 Jade and Kotal are one character and she has push him around in a wheelchair or rickshaw

I honestly legit think that Ed Boon gets a kick out of upsetting fans that D'vorah keeps killing various characters. I'm 100% sure that in MK12 she's gonna be killing Rain, Reptile, and Mileena again.
