I will have to say, the limitations of no subscriptions on Switch is quite bullshit.
Usually with Xbox and Playstation it just restricts you from playing with other player in real time, you know, stuff like online multiplayer.
Switch seems to restrict ALL kinds of online interactivity. My friend who wanted to check out the community maps in Super Smash Bros Ultimate couldn't do so because he didn't have a subscription.
You can't even browse community maps.
Same deal with Mario Maker 2. This shit wouldn't require a subscription with any other console.
I know it's only $19.99 but still, they restrict EVERYTHING.

The Wii U had actual usernames. The Switch has friend codes.

Not to mention half the Switch library of first party Nintendo games are direct Wii U ports everybody pretends are Switch exclusive.

WiiU also had Wii support, VC, and more than two original games.

BotW is fully playable and an excellent experience in CEMU, Odyssey is not in YUZU.

This is a moot point since Switch emulation will eventually become the definitive way to experience Switch games, and probably by the end of this year. That's up to you buddy, if you want to pirate your games because you get a better experience in your PC you're free to do so, I personally prefer to support the developers that make the good games that I enjoy because compared to other forms of entertainment the value you get from the length of a game per price paid is extremely high. I guess I could steal emulate games that I already own on consoles but when games look so good already for me I don't really care, I was happy with the graphics we got during the PS2 era and everything beyond that that increases the budget of a titles is wasted money for me that creates higher expectations and leaves smaller studios without chances.
Also my morals don't go that low, but I'll not even attempt to explain that argument on Yea Forums of all places.
