>Falcom games still look like mid-gen PS2 titles.

Be fair, user. This could easily pass for an early-gen PS3 game. It's even widescreen!

>It's even widescreen!
So were mid-to-late PS2 games including many of its state of the art powerhouse games like Gran Turismo 4, Ace Combat Trilogy and Black.

And of course Final Fantasy 12 which has better visuals than Ys9 lol.

Actually, that's a good point. PS2 port when.

Mid gen PS2 was kino

Do the moonrunes go into any detail on why Adol’s hair isn’t red? There has to be a story-related reason for it.

So why does Adol have black hair now?

>Sky and Crossbell look like PS1 games just without warping
>Cold Steel and Ys9 look like PS2 games
Maybe in ~6 years we will finally get a Falcom game that looks like a PS3/X360 title.

ah yes, I can't wait for them to put Adol in Smash and use this hair color and everyone will unironically ask who is this anime swordsman

He's definitely known at this point so he dyed his hair for some undercover job.
It's either that or some anime shit like a curse or something, so he can get some super special mode mid game where his hair goes red and you do a super move.

illness

This. It's like the people who called KOF13 a SNES game.

adol nero

the moonrunes tell you to go play the game and find out, so it's something plot related

KOF13 sprites are factually better than anything SNES could do, Falcom games factually look like PS2 titles though.

You could put Cold Steel and Ys9 screenshots in a PS2 screenshot collage and people wouldn't even realize that they don't belong there.

Anime shit is more likely, I bet

This is gonna be another party based Ys game, isn't it.

Yes, we already know that from interviews and videos, you're slow

We've known that for ages.

Also look at those state of the art PS2 visuals

What is that garbage-ass haircut on Dogi? A fade with a ponytail? Really? What, does he play bass guitar in an indie band and regularly orders a decaf latte at Starbucks? Christ.

Yeah looked it up.
Fuck's sake.

I don't even mind the graphics, the style is what carried the games most, you don't need particularly fancy graphics for it to "feel" right.

Like the desert area in Ys Origin, I hated that area and the boss, and it didn't look too good overall, but just that one moment when you enter it for the first time and that track kicks in, with those sand pillars or whatever, it was great

and that matters?

...and yet it is still better than his Ys 8 look.
Seriously, what was THAT?!

At least his outfit is a little more normal compared to this.

I ain't paying 60$ + DLC for a PS2 game in 2019.

>play YSVII
>started enjoying it but get bored halfway through

I dont know what it is about these games I just cant finish them. Maybe the combat just gets repetitive and I slowly give up on the game.

Thanks doc

>tfw Dogi will never surpass his Ys seven look

Then again that applies to Adol too.

>Maybe the combat just gets repetitive and I slowly give up on the game.
All Falcom games have this problem where they become too repetitive with nothing new past halfway point of the game.

>I'm a part-time stripper AND I do hair!

but who is best girl?

the best girl is not being tied down by hoes
