Honestly it almost works for me, in that it's campy af like a ninja-robot story should be.
But her being paid to act is a crime against humanity.
Her performance in the story mode is easily 5x worse than anything here.

The storymode acting is much, much, much worse.

It’s not that bad. MK always had cheesy lines and delivery, it’s a fucking fighting game what did you expect? An entire philosophical filibuster?

It's more akin to stuntwork. It's still heavily reliant on physical strength but requires a very different skillset from MMA (see: CM Punk being a joke in MMA and Rousey being completely unable to sell anything in WWE).

The only modern fighting game with worse voice acting than that is MvCI, and that's because it's way worse than MvC3 for seemingly no reason. Tekken 7 has a great multinational cast and SFV is goofy anime bullshit, which works with SF.
