Cory changed his vocal style years ago because he was doing it wrong and throwing his voice out all the time. He does the new style live and he sucks at it. Misses a lot of words and doesn't sound that great, but he sounds good on recordings.

They play live at a faster tempo because their older songs are simple compared to their new songs and they don't do as much fucking around on stage because they're all rekt from 20 years of abusing themselves, so they focus more on actually playing now.
