It's replaced with radiation/nuclear. But it does dmg over time in addition to increased dmg. So it's not as shitty this time. The brand loyalties also offset the need for a slag type element.

I unironically enjoyed both BL2 and TPS. The worst parts of both had to do with Anthony Burch, who is gone but I feel like will no doubt be there in spirit since he established a corny ass meme filled atmosphere that the next guys will copy so normies who never played BL1 can't say "This isn't anything like Borderlands 2."

They seem to have learned a lot from BL2 in TPS though. They got rid of slag, increased mobility, improved the shitty ass loot system (still tons of room for improvement though), and balanced out the characters. Ironically TPS still fell back in virtually every other category by making you backtrack a lot (BL2 already backtracked the fuck out of you so that really says something that TPS managed to outdo it), re-using environments, being cringey story wise, and other shit.

Very rarely, but its possible. You'll have a much better chance from chubby enemies. In Borderlands 1 though, badasses drop legendaries pretty often

I don't think most badass enemies drop great gear overall, outside of a head for each class. I know the community patch made it so that GODliaths have a chance to, though I've never bothered.

A bit debatable. The game isn't as long as BL2 and the writing is mostly shit, but the gameplay tops everything that came before it. Also, the skill trees are better crafted. I would say try it out
