Why do zoomers love this game so much?

your movement is restricted in nuDoom, you're forced to watch small cutscenes costantly

It's okay. I kind of wish it dumped the upgrade system. I don't like the whole "kill this many demons to make your gun not worthless" type of gameplay. I don't think it works for Doom.

How the fuck is it restricted? If anything its not restricted enough because you have a fast movement speed and a double jump + climbing and generally good vertical traversal ability so you end up flying through the arenas without the environments playing as much of a role in combat. Original Doom boxed you in more, there are entire challenges built around you having limited or no dodging space and in general you had to move smarter.

It's fun and great. Eternal is probably gonna be even better

I liked it, reminded me of playing unreal tournament as a kid and got me to try Quake champions, a shame that game died.
