It's all about adapting to the situation. If you play scrims then analyse the behaviour of your opponents
>Do they have a better aim than you?
Use nades and flashes to force them into an unfavourable situation
>Do they play aggressively and push the same thing over and over again?
Choose an angle where you have the advantage and spray them down. Use smokes and molotovs(if you play GO) in order to secure your spot or to delay the push in order to buy time for your teammates

I remember back in time when I couldn't sleep (it was mid-may saturday 5am I think or early morning) and went to my local internet cafe. It was open, everyone was playing a clan match, so I stayed and watched for like an hour. Came home before anyone noticed I was away, was like 11-12yo when I did that.
