It's going slow because they have to balance new characters, and debug them around 70+ other characters. Working on this game is probably one of the worst dev experiences ever, but I'm sure the ones working on it are very passionate about it too.

With Corrin, she came across as incredibly obnoxious since Fates was a game nobody outside of Japan had yet and since her inclusion was basically what kicked off IntSys' incredibly inflated ego over FE.

With Isabelle, she was obnoxious since there was absolutely no surprise or suspense with her reveal and it just dragged on (Simon's reveal video from the beginning to his splash screen took about as much time but was actually interesting to watch).

Incineroar was obnoxious since it dumbfounded people to see that Nintendo actually had the fucking balls to save such a bland and predictable character for their finale reveal (although someone a few days ago here had an interesting theory that some reveals might have been shuffled in order, maybe that plays into it?).
