Why do people hate AR? The goal is to build a keep that makes it difficult for the opponent to win without losing units and that's what people do. How does that make the mode "broken"?

It does require resources but you can make it as a F2Player. I unwittingly took a difficult route dumping 2K+ orbs on the previous legendary banner and ended up +10ing a Surtr and got other tools to see me through AR.
But I can see why people dislike AR, AR is insanely competitive and not everyone is interested in the grind and rising the ranks. It's stressful.

Because it's boring. At first it seemed cool that you can build your own map and defend it with your own units, but we soon found out that none of that matters vs. Azura, Rein, Vero, Aversa, and Ophelia. Even Arena is more fair and balanced than AR.

Honestly don't really give a fuck anymore. This unfun mode is just grail source for my TT unit who is +8 already, so I have to keep playing it for a couple more months
