Interactive Isabelle sex scenes.
More seriously though, I hope they remove grass degradation and add more events and shit to do each day. The fact that after ~20 minutes of playtime the only thing left to do each day is to fish/catch bugs has always annoyed me.

A port of Amiibo Festival.

More events closer to the one on Gamecube. More foliage like the GC one, and hopefully tiny roms to play like it, too, but I get why they wouldn't. I think they'll add stuff from HHD and call it good.
Not sure what the next gimmick will be though. Just hope there is a lot to do and it is comfy once again.

No more rotating planet bullshit

>What do you wish
A dynamic environment. For example, some days in winter the waterfall part in your village freezes and reveals a cave accessible only a few days a year, adding exploration and some shit to do.

>what do you think we are getting
New Leaf 2

Whats wrong with rotating planet?

What's stopping indie devs from making even a 2D clone of AC?

They lack the required soul

>What I want
A town that feels more influenced by your presence. Villages comment on your behaviours and may even change their own in response.

>What I expect
Hey user! Do you think [Peanut Butter] or [Mint Tea] is yummier?
That is so cool! I'm exactly the same!

I don't like the style of it visually because it forces all doors to be facing towards the screen, making the towns look more static and bland. Also it makes navigating slightly more difficult because you can only see things a few inches in front of you when running straight down. The only reason they did the rotating planet was so there was less stuff on screen at any given time because they're all on handhelds, there really is no excuse to why they would keep it on a console version.

>what do you wish for
Something fresh and unique
>what do you think we're getting
New Leaf HD

All I want is to be able to move furniture around as easily as you could in Happy Home Designer.

new leaf sucked so hard.
>grind for bells while reading the same few dozen lines

Better dialogue, more villager interactions and minigames, free rotating camera option, slightly larger scale, interactive furniture, such as pinball/arcade machines since NES emulator is pretty much impossible

I hope they dial the mayor thing up to eleven and basically make the game a lite city builder
Let us place and move houses (at least our own), public works projects, rocks, paths, etc on a proper grid

I just hope it actually comes out this year. My switch has so much dust on it.

bump

No god no

That image is really nice. Only thing off is the character model, looks creepy and soulless. But if we got the rest of that art style I wouldn't complain (sans checkerboard textures, don't like it)

This is what I'm afraid of. There are enough games like this, I don't want this at all.
This is the direction they should take it. They especially need to fix villager dialogue.

>Hopes
better dialogue, larger towns, a 3rd-person camera mode, new special character episodes, and all the other things they randomly removed from new leaf like the observatory or messages in a bottle. A fresh new feature that isn't just a gimmick would also be appreciated.

>Expectations
New Leaf HD
(not that new leaf is bad, but they'll probably just play it safe and not do much)

>Only thing off is the character model, looks creepy and soulless
Well it is a self insert of Josh Thomas so......

New Leaf has the Happy Home Designer QoL changes since the update, user

>No god no
Okay but why not
What do you want instead
>There are enough games like this, I don't want this at all.
Like what for example? I have trouble thinking of any that are remotely like AC
I don't understand why people are so adamantly against this. Customization in terms of your house and character is already kind of the whole draw of the game, expanding town customization just expands upon that.

I just want more content and features just like the leap from CF to NL
Better less repetitive Villager dialogue
and ABSOLUTELY NO MARRIGE OPTIONS, get that DISGUSTING degenerate shit out of my pure AC and STOP begging for it.

The gimmick will be 2-player co-op.

hopes
>as much dialogue and personality as possible
>smart NPCs
>interactive furniture that can open minigames (chess board, ping pong table, video game console) NPCs you have over could function as an AI opponent in these games
>as much to do as possible without breaking the feeling of a closed quiet village
>exposable and customizable player underwear
>bring back the good features from older games
>cooking mechanic, recpies and products added to a collection list after you first make them, similar to bugs / fish collection list
>daylight hours actually match your latitude (this might be difficult as many bug distributions are balanced around times of day)

Also, I really don't want dating, or a roommate mechanic, like I often see suggested, but here's a good compromise for people: a sleepover event
>at certain friendship level, villager will try to arrange a sleepover
>if you want it, villager will come over to your house one evening and hang out with you, and won't leave until the following morning
>this means you can imagine whatever you want is happening while your game is closed, pleasing furfags while still keeping it outside the game.
>for it to actually be fun for a villager to be in your house, the AI needs to be hugely improved, not just pacing around randomly, but actually sitting down, watching TV, playing games with you (as mentioned above) etc.

Delayed til 2020 but expect a pocket camp port to tide you over.

PORT MACHINE

There are so many town and city builders from things like Minecraft to things like Cities Skylines and Tropico. There are few games about living a comfy life in a world of cartoon animals. People like me and the other user I quoted want more activities to do in game, not more customization of the town. What's the point, oh I can put a walk way here... now what? It's not like it's something like Rimworld or Dwarf Fortress where I am building for efficiency, there is no end goal in AC so what I am building towards? What do I do once my town looks how I want? That's why the priority should be things to do. I and many others bring up villager dialogue because that's a good example. In GC Animal Crossing you could have fun just talking to villagers for hours. They had more to say and would play little games with and all of that has been cut down every release since. That kind of social simulation is way more unique then another building game.

Kinda already exists with the inferior stardew valley.

HOPES
>no more rolling log
>size, scale and overall art style similar to the 2006 movie, or the MK8 track
>huge town (at least twice the size of the first game)
>all the cool geographical features they dropped in WW (youtu.be/RrD9ptfF0iQ)
>whatever else NL forgot to bring back from the first game
>free 3rd person camera for an immersive experience
>shops and facilities are back in town
>the city is back, and acts as an MMO-styled hub where you can talk and trade with random players
>height slider, shortest option is similar to the chibi characters from the pre-NL games but slightly taller (think villager from smash)
>more custom design options like pants, shoes, socks, etc.
>SOUL. energetic soundtrack similar to the first game's. focus more on atmosphere like the first game did. let blathers speak again and give sable new dialogue that isn't just copied and pasted from WW/CF. bring back WW's character episodes that gave more insight on the special NPCs' lives
>get rid of the mayor shit because it just gives them an excuse to make the villagers overly nice, and completely goes against the theme of AC being about living on your own. PWPs can still be a thing like in AFe+ where nook built them or like CF's town fund
>give resetti his balls back, have him do crazy shit like forcing the camera into first person or pretending to delete your data again
>isabelle shilling kept to the absolute minimum, rover is the greeter again

EXPECTATIONS
>me setting myself up for disappointment with this list and fucking shooting myself when it's new leaf HD and they find a way to shove isabelle down our throats harder than ever before and nobody complains about it because the AC fanbase has been ruined by this fucking shill dog since 2014

Attached: 1536958135426.png (848x736, 1.18M)

I want a game with dialogue and events like the first game.

Animal crossing isn’t about getting exactly what you want whenever you want. Sometimes your neighbors move when you like them, sometimes neighbors move in where you don’t want them, sometimes items you want aren’t in the shop. If you want to go city builder with it and place houses and be a perfectionist why not just let you skip time without consequence or lock neighbors in too. It completely defeats the spirit of animal crossing and there aren’t many games like this. Go play a city builder, that’s what you want.

might as well sell my switch if this happens

kek the guy who made this render has a ABDL fetish

I'm kind of expecting a 50/50 chance that it will either be amazing or terrible, as there are lots of things that are going against this game, but also a lot of things going for it.

>the city is back, and acts as an MMO-styled hub where you can talk and trade with random players
That's a no no. The city would be a hub full of bodyblockers, ERP cunts and kids being unbearable.

I like grass degredation. Dirt paths should have a slightly higher walking speed too. And if you keep wearing the path, eventually the town will put down gravel, then cobblestones

>There are so many town and city builders from things like Minecraft to things like Cities Skylines and Tropico.
Yeah, but I'm saying they're nothing like Animal Crossing in that there's no element of living in and interacting with your town/city.
>What's the point, oh I can put a walk way here... now what? It's not like it's something like Rimworld or Dwarf Fortress where I am building for efficiency, there is no end goal in AC so what I am building towards? What do I do once my town looks how I want?
Isn't the same thing true of all the other customization features though?
What's the point of decorating your house if you don't need it for anything? Sure you can put a couch there... now what?
Why spend time making a pro design to wear? There's no end goal and it doesn't benefit you in any way.
I for one enjoy the customization features a lot and want more. I don't think there's any reason they'd have to sacrifice the other aspects in order to do that.

Make mayor shit optional if they're bringing it back

if they bring back mayor shit, make it not take a fucking eternity to actually customize your town (you know the whole reason they added the feature in the first place? why should I get up at 3am IRL just ot talk to the last fuck who needs convincing of a bridge)

more hair styles

more hair colors

more in depth pattern creation

seasonal changes to land marks in towns lik e what said

OG camera orientation and world layout like GC/N64

every villager

more shit to do each day

Heard a rumor that rover is the only thing you see in the new trailer, but it's probably fake like 99.9% of all "leaks".

>isabelle shilling kept to the absolute minimum, rover is the greeter again

Rover was the greeter in New Lead though?
Also fuck your MMO bullshit.

animal crossing is not a game.

I just want the ability to make an animal as a character.

>Yeah, but I'm saying they're nothing like Animal Crossing in that there's no element of living in and interacting with your town/city.
Yea because developing actual mechanics around building is a lot of work and you can't make a game where you can do everything in the world. Even then that's not really true, one of the examples I gave you has some of those things, Tropico. You have an avatar who lives on your island and can be moved around to visit schools, talk to protesters, give soldiers medals, give speeches etc. But on some level I agree, Animal Crossing's social sim elements are unique, that's why they are what should be expanded.

>Isn't the same thing true of all the other customization features though?
Yes, that's why expanding them shouldn't be a focus.

> I don't think there's any reason they'd have to sacrifice the other aspects in order to do that.
The reason is dev time is not infinite.

>What do you wish for the game and what do you think we are getting?
A proper character creator instead of your features being decided by a series of questions.

>Rover was the greeter in New Lead though?
I think he means when you start up the game and load your save
Although the true best option is to bring villagers back to do it

Attached: 1528664548185.png (1674x932, 684K)

I just want this game to be even comfier, and I also want more atmospheric music like this:
youtube.com/watch?v=MtzkK8KHOis

No he wasn't, he set the player up but you never saw him again after that. In City Folk he always greeted the player and loaded their game, and Isabelle took this role in New Leaf.

Also "MMO bullshit" has been in the game since New Leaf with Club Tortimer and nobody really cared, so I don't see what the big issue with doing that but with more than four players at a time and an actually good wifi system is. If you want to go to the city alone like in City Folk they could just make it optional like CT was.

The fuck did Isabelle do to you? Just cause she’s a girl?

So just Club Tortimer but bigger? Sounds fine to me.

I seriously hope this "you just hate her because she's a girl" argument people have been using lately is just bait, but if it isn't it's not gonna work on me because Sable is my favorite character.

But to explain myself for the millionth time: Isabelle has been forced and shilled since NL's release. This isn't a case of "oh she just happened to get really popular", they WANTED this to happen. She's featured on the game's 3DS menu diorama and takes Rover's role in CF as the greeter so you can be sure you'll see her every time you play, even if you never go to Town Hall. Literally no AC character before Isabelle has ever been put on a pedestal this fucking high.

Nook was the most iconic and recognizable character, but Nintendo never really acknowledged this and he was never shoved in your face. K.K. was prominent in advertising and such, but it never went beyond that. Resetti was also iconic but he's the last character anyone would pick to represent AC. Sable was a fan favorite but never got any decent merch. To put things into perspective, Isabelle was promoted to THE series mascot no less than two years after her initial debut. She has appeared in three crossovers as the representative of AC as a whole.

Meanwhile longtime characters get jack shit nowadays. You never see Nook anymore after you pay off your house, K.K. is a hipster now, Resetti was made optional, Sable's backstory was removed. Is it really THAT unreasonable to be pissed off about this?

bump

> Is it really THAT unreasonable to be pissed off about this?
Yes, because nobody likes your fat raccoon. Isabelle was shilled BECAUSE fans instantly took a liking to her. Lottie was pushed as hell in Happy Home Designer, but nobody took a liking to her. The fans dictate who’s popular, and Nintendo responds. Sorry your favorite is ignored. Try getting some better taste, I guess.

>character that allows you to conduct your mayor shit is a prominent character

Shocking. And what do you mean Nook got shit? He’s probably the most important character in the game. And they “removed” Sables backstory? No they just didn’t include it. They already dumped it in one game they don’t need to repeat every game to remind you what she’s about.
I say what I said because if they replaced Isabelle with someone like, say Rover and he did everything that Isabelle did you wouldn’t care but because she’s a girl and she’s new and her fan base is slightly obnoxious you get upset. She’s a cute dog with bell shaped hair and they figured she’s make a good mascot character. That’s literally it.

What is your favorite game?

>Isabelle was shilled BECAUSE fans instantly took a liking to her.
But it's not like it was completely unexpected. I already mentioned how she was put in the game's 3DS menu diorama and how she took Rover's job, both of which were obviously decided upon before she even had a fanbase. Somewhere along NL's development someone went "Alright, we should give AC a proper mascot type character now" and they ended up getting exactly what they wanted and so much more.

What was great about pre-NL AC is that it didn't really have one face to it. I don't remember seeing Nook on CF's splash screen or him loading my game.

Nook will never be pushed because players are fucking idiots that see him as an evil raccoon who forces you to pay your house when he is not.

Get over with it.

>more dialogue, or dialogue updates over time
>stronger personalities
>more resetti
>less grass degradation
>add flowers to encyclopedia
>make encyclopedia show whether item has been donated to museum
>bring back constellations
>bring back proper blanca

I want:
>Friendship system/dating and when high enough you can marry/move in with you like Harvest Moon
>Jobs. Be a delivery boy for the post office or Tom Nook 5 days a week or as a Saturday job
>Mining
>More festivals

Why do people see him as evil anyway? All the reasoning I see people give for this perception is usually just their own headcanon and not actual facts.

>if they replaced Isabelle with someone like, say Rover and he did everything that Isabelle did you wouldn’t care but because she’s a girl and she’s new and her fan base is slightly obnoxious you get upset.
No, then I'd be slightly annoyed at Rover (Though admittedly yes, not as much because he's a longtime established character) for taking up too much space.

The big thing about AC, at least prior to New Leaf, is that it has a huge main cast, rivaling the likes of Mario and Sonic. Even though characters like Nook and Resetti were iconic, a lot of people had their own favorites. A series like AC never needed a defacto mascot, and Nintendo knew this because not even K.K., the one character you could argue as being a sort of "mascot" was pushed anywhere near as hard as Isabelle is. You only got to see the guy once a week anyways. Having everything focus on just one single character goes against the original theme of AC being a community.

>sometimes neighbors move in where you don’t want them
This is bullshit though and should've stopped happening in WW already.
You can't jump build a fucking house anywhere you please in real life so these dumb shitstains of animals have no reason to move on my carefully planted flower field.

Because he likes money and you gotta pay him. That's it. It's fucking retarded.

Ultimately this argument is dumb because this has no bearing on gameplay.

If Isabelle wasn’t there there’s be another NPC that did all the things she does, and then they’d be the mascot character. As long as they were cute anyway. If you replaced Isabelle with Digby I don’t think he’d be as popular though. He’s kind of ugly.

This but unironically
Sable is best girl

Animal crossing, pokemon, fire emblem are somehow games that i'm not interested like at all. I like the looks and feels of ac games, i played ds and 3ds ones, even the phone but barely, there is like nothing to do in that game, despite people saying there is a lot. Am i missing something?

Even the Mario series has better character representation at this point, even though Miyamoto hates having no simple stories in his games.

Did you guys know that every copy of New Leaf is seeded and you can only get a set list of villagers on your own to create a scarcity of other villagers, and therefore a need to connect to others?
I want Animal Crossing Swinch to not do that.

Attached: 1545439995825.gif (500x625, 1.75M)

Adding on to this, compare AC related fan works prior to NL and now. While yes, you did see a lot of the "big three", (Nook, Resetti, K.K.) every other member of the main cast of special NPCs got a lot of love too. Nowadays all I ever see is Isabelle, just one character, and that's it. Smash has only made things worse.

You don't see this happening with Mario or Sonic. Even though they have their main characters, their huge casts get lots of love too. Like there's even a stigma against people who pick Mario in the sports games and stuff, but that's another subject.

No, it's more of a game you just play for 15-30 minutes a day, either daily or weekly. I wish they'd add more stuff to do in the next game though.

>Boot up AC:NL after years
>Amiibo update
>Expect to go into town with Isabelle asleep from picking weeds
>End up sitting through a new intro on the train with Isabelle not far off
>The first interaction we've had in years is her flirting with me like she's about to force herself on my dick
>Mfw secretary dog fuckers actually managed to persuade Nintendo into making her the complementary dog waifu
You can't be fucking serious.

Attached: 1554325608176.png (540x721, 243K)

Because New Leaf is 7 years old at this point and people are just waiting for a new game? They aren’t going to be memes about the Llamas cause they didn’t get into Smash. Nook still has a big following.

Animal Crossing is pretty much just busy work the game, so if you’re not into doing mundane tasks there’s not much for you.

oh god this can't be real

There are very regular events in Pocket Camp, 2-3 that usually last a week or longer. If you want to finish them it takes a while, especially for a phone game. There's daily goals and longer running event goals too.
I prefer the slower paced nature of the main AC games though, it's a solid game for a quick session and super comfy to just exist in.

You sound like the kind of person who thinks that cashiers are desperate for your schlong.

Get rid of the disgusting long limbs and giraffe neck they gave the Villager. Make it basically just the first game.

I just really hate how this cancerous chipmunk tooth has been the big moe trend in Japan since probably as far back as K-On. It's infecting Pokegirls too, and I loathe it.

Attached: XY_Shauna.png (553x1280, 481K)

It is. It only happens if you own a copy of New Leaf made prior to the Welcome amiibo update and decide to install the update.

It is man.
Update your copy and see for yourself. Bitch swoons and complements you, telling you how good she's kept the town in your absence, all that shit.

Attached: 1554141993135.jpg (2464x1648, 366K)

I'm making an ac/hm clone where you start off as a neet bug who gets kicked out of his parents' home. You only have a year lifespan left so you desperately need to find another bug gf to reproduce. You can have jobs that help the colony before winter comes and such. You spend money buying your own little house to decorate and gifts to impress your qt bug gf and fuck her in the end. It's gonna be pretty short and does end but lots of different bug girls to choose from.

You never see Isabelle outside except when you are placing a PWP, and the weeds are all probably still there, so that doesn't make too much sense. Also, I got the game when it was already updated so I can't see for myself though.

I want a gallery that registers every piece of furniture I collect.

Dating isn't necessary degenerate. It worked in Magician Quest: Mysterious Times.

It's not really an AC clone, it's an horror 2d shooter, but I could see an AC-like game with this mechanics:
youtube.com/watch?v=tdsEhFrnKWk

Stardew Valley is Harvest Moon. While it's similar in certain points, it's not an AC-like.

>implying they'd let you date any special NPC besides isabelle
With how she's been treated these past few years we should consider ourselves lucky if Sable is even in the game

thank god for save editing

What kind of goals? What do you do?

Reminds me of what the first game did with what items Nook's store would be more likely to stock.

Honestly I just want another comfy soundtrack. That's one of the main things I've loved about the series. The soundtrack has always been pretty amazing. But other than that I hope we get more villagers, more house types, more house customization, the HHD stuff like moving furniture with the stylus in New Leaf.

GCN ambient soundtrack or bust
I'll be happy with a remix

youtube.com/watch?v=fYcSP7ajgBo

How would they retcon Sable anyways? I'm pretty sure that people are gonna notice if she randomly disappears.

Even though every soundtrack is radically different from the last, I think they're all good for their own reasons. I have faith that AC Switch will have good music even if it isn't exactly what we're expecting.

She got married to me and moved away

Patrician.
Bring back everything that was removed from AC GC. Remove rolling pin world.

I'm just making a jab at how Nintendo seemingly hates her (No amiibo figure, no Switch profile icon, never appears in promo material involving the main cast anymore, etc) but unfortunately the nu-fans don't really care about her either.

It's a shame when you consider that she was one of the most popular characters in the pre-NL days. Someone made a poll on the AC subreddit very shortly after NL's North American release in 2013, and she was the third most popular character (With K.K. and Isabelle being first and second, respectively). I can only imagine what a similar poll made today would look like.

Attached: sable2.png (275x275, 126K)

this would be cool as well, I'd also like the return of more atmospheric tracks like this:
youtube.com/watch?v=MtzkK8KHOis

just it more like harvest moon. or rather, make harvest moon more like animal crossing
>no real time day/night cycle, just make days and nights last 1 hour (30 minutes of sunlight)
>autistic farming mechanics with ways to automate farming
>dating
>human villagers
>explorable wilderness
>bustling towns with stores of all kinds
>etc

Attached: 1553743663113.jpg (480x480, 35K)

they wouldn't explain it at all. just pretend like it 's always been mable and her city slicker sister and nobody else

genuinely one of the best parts of ACGC was sable slowly opening up to you

Why doesn't anyone want good character and villager writing in this series anymore? It's one of the main reasons I kept coming back to the older games, and without that, I feel that there's less of a reason for me to play. I'd be more ok with this if they added a lot more to do every day to make up for this, but so far they haven't done that.

play rune factory bro

I already have. I want more.

I do, I just like animal crossing aesthetics.

Are you retarded? One of AC's biggest appeals is that it's the only game of its kind to make use of a real time clock system. If you took that away it wouldn't be Animal Crossing anymore.

True, and I also liked how the episodes in acww also have more insight into other characters as well, like why Blathers has a fear of bugs or the complicated relationship between Sable and Nook. All I want in this new game is for them to finally conclude a lot of these stories and also to explain why the newer characters like Kicks and Leif are there in the first place, along with better villager dialogue and more things to do, like cooking.

eh, doesn't appeal to me when there's only 20 minutes of things to do each day before you have to wait 24 hours. I bet a lot of posters here time travel in animal crossing.

bump

Cute dating

Attached: 5.jpg (2400x3422, 775K)

The nu-fans that started with New Leaf have a quite different perception of the series than the boomers from older games, and they now make up a huge portion of the fanbase. As they started with NL, the game that did away with good dialogue (Though it was already a problem in City Folk) and removed character backstories while at the same time adding tons of customization options, they are often more likely to favor customization over interaction.

These people reset their towns every few months simply because they're bored, or they don't like this one villager or how their map came out. Can you believe that? They care more about how their town looks than the villagers living in it. Whatever happened to Resetti's life lessons about rolling with the punches? Oh yeah, that's right, he was made optional.

Like I said, these people are like the majority of the fanbase now. New Leaf was huge. So don't be surprised if the next game manages to make the dialogue even worse while making no effort to make the world more interactive, or at the very least bring back features and geographical variety that have been missing since Wild World. But don't worry, it's okay because we're giving Isabelle a Sable/Brewster type relationship with the player (We know how crazy you are for her and just can't get enough) and you can put furniture outside now! Yay!

Attached: acgcboomer.png (380x348, 71K)

Yeah, I'm just not gonna buy the game if it's just New Leaf HD after 7 years. I see the mentality that people will still buy this game even if it's bad, but I'm sick of that mentality. I'm kinda 50/50 on this game though, as even though the Isabelle shilling is at its all-time worst and so is the fanbase, splatoon 1 and 2 ended up being pretty good to me, and HHD added a little bit more backstory, so I still have a little bit of hope left.

>debit card
>marriage
>more villager types
>marriage
>grid-based system for PWPs
>marriage
>more varied dialogue
>marriage

If you're wondering what I meant by "geographical variety", take a look at this:
youtu.be/RrD9ptfF0iQ
youtu.be/AoRWzSCCsGA

You just can't get this kind of stuff in a modern AC game. It's actually embarrassing how an N64 port has far more varied towns than the Wii and 3DS games. It made sense for them to downgrade in Wild World but there's really no excuse now. But hey, gotta make room for those PWPs!

Attached: B3D4F1DF-139F-4F76-A909-B96DE18A6472.png (480x508, 69K)

Personally want Villagers to have more influence on town instead the town having to rely solely on me, also bring back Tortimer Island but make it bigger and have some villagers visit the island instead of it being a ghost town unless you play online with others.

I'll play the first game then if the new one ends up not being good because I'm fairly new to the series, as I started playing wild world in 2018.

Do you think that the modding scene for this game will drastically increase if the new game ends up being bad?

Also if they don't drop the mayor thing, give us an option to choose our own assistant. Choose from one of the special NPCs (Tom Nook, Isabelle, Digby, maybe Resetti, etc) or maybe an option after talking to certain villagers enough to make them your assistant.
Also add more projects and make it slightly easier to unlock projects. I had some trouble trying to unlock the Lost and Found for a while.

bump

Considering how the nu-fandom hardly cares about the first game, probably not. But there is one guy working on a translation for the Japanese-only e+ version of the game.
youtu.be/mIApizsHZhw

His channel has all sorts of interesting hacks and discoveries regarding the first game. Unfortunately he doesn't upload very often.

Preach it!

This looks great! Thanks user.

Do you think that this game will finally save the cesspool that is /acg/?

Keep us posted, sounds great.

no

Why are women so stupid?

>What do you wish for the game
Villager dialogue like the GC version
Cooking + recipe book (may involve rudimentary farming)
A special villager with a hot air balloon who can take you to various wilderness locales to fish, catch bugs, and forage.
The ability to choose different locales for your town
Dedicated design slots for paths/more design slots
More interesting shit to explore/discover (not unlike Magician's Quest)
Give Resetti his balls back

It will at the very least drive all the Pocket Camp fags out which can only be an improvement. While the AC fandom kinda hit the shitters towards 2015, I imagine an all-new game can bring back SOME of the comfy feeling that the fandom had in the WW/CF and early NL days. Now if only Nintendo would actually show the damn thing.

Oh god, it only gets worse from here, doesn't it? The only thing we can count on now is if this new game by some miracle is a return to form for the series and not New Leaf HD. Otherwise, with the recent influx of new people from playing Isabelle in smash, we're probably doomed.

>tom nook, KK and Rover will never be the faces of AC ever again
>From here on out Nintendo will shove Isabelle down our throats
it hurts

It'll be ACNL HD and you know it

How can people deal with such a shallow character after 7 years? I'm okay with the few people that actually genuinely like Isabelle as much as their favorite villagers, but how can the rest of them obsess over her for this long?

big 2d gay sex scenes that cater to my fetishes of course

How is magician’s quest anyways? I was thinking of playing it if the new animal crossing doesn’t meet my expectations.

I genuinely don't know if they'll be able to match the comfy level of the GCN soundtrack again. That game's OST is some kind of miracle.

I unironically want the villagers to be able to die and the possibility to visit their funeral.

Post your face when it gets delayed anyway and has features stripped out.

Then the game needs to ship with the vitality sensor and bury the player when you die too.

It's been a while since I've touched it so the details aren't super clear to me, but it depends on what you like from the AC games. The customization isn't too great on the front of decorating the town or your house (you live in a dormitory that houses the player characters), but you still have your own room and outfit you can decorate and stuff. Where the game shines in my eyes is the exploration/discovery aspect. Magician's Quest has fish/bug encyclopedias much like AC, but it also has a tab dedicated entirely to "mysteries", which are weird occurrences/areas/characters that you have to discover and figure out the truth behind. There's also a spell system, where you go to wizard school every weekday and learn spells that you can cast out in the world, it's got a bit of Bully in it too, where you'll get punished skipping class. Definitely worth checking out if you like AC but want a bit more spice.

And for all of you degenerates out there, the game actually has dating.

Based on pocket Camp, I have hope they might add "episodes" like you said, maybe after building a specific rare item villagers can suggest (again like in PC). Would be frustrating as a completionist though.

Sounds fun, since I was never really that much into town customization in the AC games.

There’s episodes in pocket camp?

oh wait never mind i’m dumb

they won't top animal crossing e+ why even bother?

Yeah, each lootbox has an extra rare item that gives you a cutscene with a few villagers in it, and there are a handful of ones with regular items as well
Haha nice

I don’t want to be mayor again. Having any sense of importance over the other villagers was so fucking non immersive

No more rolling world!

More events, varied dialogue, and another daily incentive ontop of fishing and bug collecting.

So that explains why everyone wants to collect those so badly.

This is what i'm expecting to be honest.

Attached: 1546272308370.jpg (2224x2064, 243K)

I guess that I will just go ahead and start up that new GC playthrough then.

Attached: 1550636480278.gif (500x375, 847K)

Yeah, also I figure the only people still playing the game are massive whales.
There were also items you could only craft after reaching a certain friendship level with animals; for a game where they don't need to milk players it'd be nice to incorporate the scenes like that, and add more personality to the characters.
Man after typing that out I've really rubber ducked myself into hoping it's in the new game shit.

You should try the work-in-progress HD texture pack for this game, it actually looks quite nice.

I’m hoping for it too, I’m expecting a lot since it has been almost 7 years since the last mainline game after all.

>obviously new dialogue, more expressive personalities, maybe even abrasive and aggressive ones
>instead of dating, relationship meters for villagers that grow as you do things for them and talk to them. Result being less likely to move out of town, special dialogue and items, and even helping you out on holidays or events
>daily local events like feuding townsfolk, sudden invasion of bugs/fish/what have you, drifter causing pranks around town that needs to be caught, extreme discount sales/special offers at Nook's or other stores, stuff like that. Some events causing meters to rise and fall depending on whose side you choose, with ways to placate everyone that isn't always apparent and might be difficult
>Nook's, Able's, Museum and even the Coffee Bar being separate buildings again, maybe corralled in a single section so everything isn't spread apart with room to grow on all four
>On Coffee Bar, able to expand it to a full cafe, with special dialogue and items available to have with staple characters, revealing deep backstory for them
>"Quests" involving long chains of events and items for special prizes that need to be discovered that thought out
>More stuff to do in Winter
>Return of Booker and the Police Station as a permanent thing, with ability to act as "deputy" for him for law enforcement events
>Blather returns his GC dialogue with varied facts about fishes, bugs, paintings and fossils. Maybe add new wings (Gemstones? Weird oddities? Surprise seasonal exhibits expanding AC "Lore"?)
>More unique interactive stuff, more unique AC-themed minigames (Maybe direct RPG lite with villagers like Tomodachi Quest, more arcade-like games)

Guys
What if
GUYS
What if they added neural network/response robot code for replies to your letters?

Do you know if it is compatible with the Japanese translation of GC+? If I were to emulate I'd want to be playing the best version of GC possible.

I think about this at least once a week and it fills me with dread. New Leaf isn't bad, besides the bare bones villager dialogue, but I don't want to play through it a second time. I want something new. That's why I didn't like City Folk that much. It felt just like WW, but with holidays at the expense of most special visitors being in the city.

Attached: 1484279982683.png (540x304, 202K)

Unfortunately, I don’t think it is yet.

Mostly more to do during the day. Maybe add minigames to make bells with.

What are you talking about? All the animal crossing games are the exact same thing. And wild world was just an expansion of the gamecube game.

Also, i really, REALLY don't get this obsession with villager dialogue. No matter how much dialogue they put in, its eventually going to get old after a year and you're gonna stop talking to the villagers. Doing chores has always been the focus of the games.

Oh well. HD graphics don't really matter to me too much. I'm sure they'll get it to that point eventually.

I feel that there is so much potential with the characters and the lore in this series, but they haven’t really done anything with it for the past 11 years.

I hope so too. It’s open source, so anyone can contribute.

Lizard/Reptile villagers.
Personally I don't care for furry designs much but I love scaley designs, and Alligators and Frogs aren't enough. Fish and Insect villagers could be cool too but I would never expect it considering fishing/bughunting is a staple of the series.
Also it'd be neat if they varied up the villagers appearances a bit more. Give them tall, short, and fat body types, give some cats really furry cheeks, gives some dogs really droopy mouths (like Booker), etc.
More interactions with furniture would be really neat too. Always felt like decorating got boring past a certain point because you could never really DO much with most furniture. Giving some things like pinball or arcade machines actual minigames would be really cool imo.

Attached: D1BTOhuXQAAP0Z3.jpg (933x525, 67K)

Maybe they could have different rewards for the chores you do, or they could add many different jobs, like working at Nook’s homes, delivering things from the Nookling Junction, or giving people letters from the post office.

Eh, the games dont need to overcomplicate themsevles with giving each character a meaningful backstory. At the end of the day, the series is just about winding down and relaxing.

I didnt know people here disliked New Leaf so much, I put well over 300 hours into that game.

Yeah, you’re right.

>life sim game where you don't have a life
>you spend most of your time just catching bugs
>villagers are soulless husks that repeat the same lines and make you give them shit
>all content is gated behind waiting IRL days
>every sequel is just the previous game re-released with like one new feature
>literally just a game for autists
It's shit.

I don’t hate it, it added quite a few new features and it is still pretty comfy, but I hate what the fanbase has become.

What games do you like?

>all content is gated behind waiting IRL days

I mean, if thats the way you think about a game like this, then yeah its not for you.

Also fuck you if you time travel.

you forgot
>forces you to play regularly using retention mechanics

Finer placement of objects and structures. Instead of saying "here is good" to Isabelle, you just... choose the location.
The ability to denote certain parts of the village as "green space" so residents don't move in there.
Nature trails where you can find out-of-season bugs and fish, and maybe other stuff too, like curios or trash that you can bin for money.
A bigger village in general.
A bike or scooter to ride. Maybe have a skate park where you can play and perform tricks to impress other villagers.
Seasonal spots. Beach volleyball in summer, ice skating in winter, and so on.
Different biomes. Forest, plains, desert, tropical.

Could go by nostalgia and request things from the GC.
But nah. I want
>The ability to choose between northern coast with woods with a GC feel, southern coast like a NL feel
>The ability to construct actual trails instead of shitty patterns on the ground
>Bring back the damn dump
>The option of having GC music or NL music (prefer GC)
>The option of either building up alone or constructing actual connections
>Pros and cons to living in solitude or in the company of villagers and staff
>More plant options like choosing between NL bushes and GC bushes
>Not fucking with the rarity of furniture with your fucking Meow coupons

Attached: Fuckyou.jpg (455x640, 342K)

I like actual games. Animal Crossing is not a game. At best it's a chore.

I just want the main street aspect to be removed. Segregating all the shops from the village made the town feel more boring. And maybe let there be a more varied landscape like in ACGC

The catalogue ruins the game
Prove me wrong

In what way?

gimme
>a fenced off back yard for outdoor furniture
>a camp site I can decorate for visiting villagers and other players
>more festivals
>more upgradeable shops
>a market where villagers bring stuff to sell in the town square
>furniture with some function, like cooking items let you make food that you can sell/gift/use
>more town NPCs that you can interact with besides just buying stuff from
>expandable towns, like an apartment complex, a park, a miniature city etc.
>an in-game song maker
>more spooky stuff at night
>biomes with some villagers that only live in certain ones
>use the TV to watch videos (porn)
>more interactable furniture
>let me be an animal owo
>heavy storms that transform the whole town like blizzards and hurricanes keeping people in

I don't totally agree with this statement, but it's got some truth in there. I really wasn't feeling New Leaf. Everything in that entry sort of felt like a chore. I don't want to have to abuse the island to grind bells. They just need to make things cheaper or give us a fun way to make money outside of just catching fish/bugs.

But you have to own the item previously for it to be in your catalogue so I don't see how it's a negative

Prove yourself right first

Bump

I like the storms/blizzard idea.
>if you're outside for longer than a few minutes you just get blown into the nearest animal's house.

>tfw at some point i actually thought they answered my letters so i tried to act friendly and all of that when writing them back in the GC version.

just kill me senpai

i still have my project of porting acnl to godot engine so people could mod the fuck out of it and all the trash "features" could be fixed/removed. im absolutely bogged down in college and life shit right now though.

maybe i ought to post it on gitlab or something with all the extracted assets. i dont think anyone would want to help work on it though.

youtu.be/ZlZeco94Cj4

Have them take a few notes from this videos

As long as there's no dating, no rolling log and no stupid city bullshit i'll be happy

I'd even be happy with a literal port of the gamecube version with the same soulful, comfy graphics.

It might just be me but none of the other games past GC stick with me the same way. It feels like I can still play the original for hours while Wild world and CF just get boring really fast. I spent most of my time talking to villagers in the original because it feels like they actually give you a lot to do.
