I dunno man. SE is buttery smooth and only crashes if you're a complete brainlet. That's worth updating SKSE and a few dependent mods every now and then. You can easily roll back your Skyrim version until SKSE updates.

Nah, something like the Defeat mod adds to the game though, when you get knocked out you get fucked by a bandit/animal/dragon or whatever. Or you can hump them yourself.

Some are pretty good. Defeat actually adds to the game by giving you an additional combat option during stealth by letting you non-lethally take down foes and even sell off bandits to the city guards.

Don't even need to be a brainlet to mod now to be honest. MO2(Mod Organizer 2) pretty much takes all the effort out of it really because of virtual storage. That's going to get much easier with the app automaton though.

For all those that don't know, there is going to be a tool that is released eventually that allows you to basically click 1 button and it auto-installs every mod within a curated mod list within a corrected order, the only thing you'd have to do at that point was clean the ESM's.

You'd have to be an absolute fucking retard to mess up modding now.

because despite being and "updated version", the game was still had a lot of the same bugs. the graphical "upgrades" from the devs werent even half as good as graphics mods you can download onto oldrim for free, and normal skyrim mods didnt work with it, and they all had to be updated to work with the SE and a lot of mods were never updated or took too long and most people would rather play oldrim then play an unmodded skyrim . also it was a blatant cash grab trying to sell literally the same game back to us at full price

Pretty good overall. A step up from Oblivion in gameplay and world/level design but the factions left much to be desired.
Not a fan of the focus on random repeatable "radiant" content instead of handcrafted quests and events that actually tie into the world or interact with other parts of the game.

If you owned the LE version of Skyrim, you got the SE for free.

I'm playing through morrowind with only graphical mods for the first time currently and it's excellent. Easily the best out of the recent three. Oblivion has great quests but everything else is lacking or bland, Skyrim is just a AAA action game with most of the stuff which made the other games unique stripped away.

Tried playing it vanilla a few days ago, closed the game for a few minutes and got to downloading a few mods to make it not look like shit. I got some foliage and tree mods, some cloud mods, and a bunch of night sky mods. Game still looked terrible so I went for some texture overhauls, but those wouldn't install for some reason so I just gave up and uninstalled everything.

Organized Bandits of Skyrim

Enemies can now dodge, use potions, perfect block you, and travel in far bigger packs. They also tend to encircle.
Mortal Enemies stops enemies from having perfect aim, and unrealistic player tracking. Same applies for players, your range is now smaller, and you can't move for the brief second when you are swinging your weapon. (Same for enemies, it's essentially also a attack commitment mod.)
On my most recent character, I was getting BTFO by bandits until I was like level 10.
