Fun stereotypes, fun gameplay, cuties of both genders and in between, cool locations.

I don't even know anymore. Everyone wants to be EVO tier, so they spend years mastering fighting games, while I play for "fun" and end up getting slaughtered by those players.

You're not good at fighting games. Make an arena in Ultimate. I would fuck you all with Joker.

Stop this lie. Fighting games sell on style and nothing else. A high polish, tightly balanced fighting game has never been popular.

I hope you're talking about Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

I will agree that balance is hard to find in popular fighters, but there are plenty of polished products. I firmly believe that the 1v1 aspect makes it harder to balance the game. In team games they can be somewhat unbalanced because you can build a team against them. Balance issues in fighters are much more noticable.

If a fighting game adds a single character while any existing characters are still very unbalanced, it is auto-trash made by a developer that doesn't care.

I can see the reasoning behind this belief, as it would make sense to fix your game before adding to it. But, would these be the same part of the dev team?

This angle is garbage.

Shitposters must be getting soft.

I thought of doing it for but I feel bad about shitposting in threads of my favorite genre.

The artificially terrible controls that give it a learning curve that allows autists to feel accomplished.

FGCucks have no right to be as arrogant as they are.

Yeah, except uh...no.
Look at this:

If skill mattered, the more skilled person would win.
>U ONLY DISLIKE FIGHTING GAMES CUZ U DON'T HAZ A TEEM 2 BLAME UR LOSSES ON
This is an even more retarded argument. Look at this. youtube.com/watch?v=36UEXyomWck
Notice how they went up against an unquestionably more skilled opponent. He won every time in a one on one environment, but were the losers angry or crying? NO! They took their losses in stride.
Meanwhile, THIS is what happens in the FGC, full of REAL men that YOU claim are the APEX of sportsmanship, skill, and community. youtube.com/watch?v=TAeoCwz567g
Makes you think, huh?
It certainly makes think. Makes me think that the games that FGCucks claim to be for REAL men and require HARD WORK is false. Makes me think you're a bunch of salty frauds. Makes me think YOU'RE the ones losing in the video game industry. But guess what? You are. You have the L. Now HOLD it. One day, you'll go the way of Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk.

It's a feeling that only a small percentage of people share, because everyone else sucks at games and loves getting carried.

>That same Game Grumps video used every time
Nigga. If two people are new to a game and they can play it fine, it doesn't mean the game doesn't take skill, it means the game functions. That's like shit talking something like Gran Turismo or Forza just cause two retards can drive an oval track using full assists.

It's a solid truth, there's no point in explaining it to people who will never understand. Working in the lab, perfecting execution and technique, building your mindgames, and then pitting all that against someone else? It's the best feeling in all genres. Some people most people are fucking terrible, don't want to put in effort, and go back to thinking they're amazing at games even though their team is carrying. The FGC is super autistic at times, just like all apex players of each genre.

>Some people most people are fucking terrible
The overwhelming majority of players are god fucking awful.
Look at any ranked game and the "average" rank is fucking braindead tier.

I hate feeling like im mediocre in a game and then finding out i'm in the top 10%, apparently.

No, sorry.

Ironic how you thought this post proves me wrong, but the fact that you think fighting games are the only skill based games despite all evidence to the contrary proves me 100% right.

>If two people are new to a game and they can play it fine, it doesn't mean the game doesn't take skill,
And yet, FGCucks use that as an argument against Smash Bros, Naruto, and Xenoverse for YEARS

I just remember it's a young Latina looking chick. Shes so god damn hot. Anyway, thank you again for the source.

You do this every time. Nobody ever says that fighting games are the only skill based games, they say that the type of patience and discipline for fighting games is different.

Low skill-floor is not the same as a low skill ceiling. Arena fighters are extremely limited in options, move-sets, etc. Smash Bros is fine, though. That one's mainly a meme.

Especially rings true in FG's. There is no kill stealing, no way to ride the laurels of anyone else aside your own. I've started on SFII in the 90's, and I haven't been able to give up fighting games since. The only problem is that most that get released these days are complete crap, casualized mechanics, comeback mechanics out the ass, no thought put into balance especially since they just hotfix everything. People are either bad, or they work to get good. You can even see the returns of your effort almost immediately if you aren't brain-dead. Combos you couldn't do before, reactions to opponent's strategies you couldn't beat before, execution whenever you want.
Fucking hell, truly the greatest genre of games.

They aren't the only skill based games, but they're the only genre that lets you showcase your skill, and yours only. Shooting games don't have 1v1 in mind, I don't think any other genre does because it's going to have more than 2 people playing at a time. All games take skill, but how much of it is your skill and how much of it is your teammates? I don't have to wonder about that.

Are you for real, nigger? I LITERALLY posted a video of a 1v1 shooting game and you completely ignored it because it doesn't fit your faggot agenda.

Second, it's still a 1v1 mode, you goalpost moving dickhead

>I would fuck you all with a cheap op dlc character

Oh wow you sure showed us.

The only FPS game that still does any remote amount of actual 1vs1 play as even a remotely normal form of play is the few fags who still play quake.

What you posted was a shit tier reaction video of people who have, quite literally, never played the game before.

Fighting games are the only way that poor people feel like they can vent their anger. Because fighting is considered cool in the ghetto, that associate fighting games as being amazing. Their repetitive nature also stimulates their little reptile brains. It's why 99% of the FGC is nigs, spics and poorfags

Yeah, them. I'm the one you replied to first in that post with a bunch of bullshit. Half of those aren't implying anything about "Fighting games being the only skill based games" and the others are just adding on to what I and that user said about the skill being measured differently.
>It's still a 1v1 mode
A 1v1 mode the game wasn't designed for. The game is designed to be played 6v6 with objectives. Fighting games are designed as 1v1 from the get go.
Also, you haven't refured my point about low skill ceilings not meaning low skill floors.

Came to post this

>I'm the one you replied to first in that post with a bunch of bullshit.
If it's wrong, how come no one can refute it?
>Half of those aren't implying anything about "Fighting games being the only skill based games" and the others are just adding on to what I and that user said about the skill being measured differently.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
*WHEEEEEEZE*
>A 1v1 mode the game wasn't designed for.
How can you say that for sure? It's an official mode with its own dedicated maps. Someone had to design it and put it in the game.
>Also, you haven't refured my point about low skill ceilings not meaning low skill floors.
Again, look at the videos I posted. You can clearly see that the pro player wins almost EVERY match consistently, which PROVES it has a high skill ceiling. Otherwise, the skill gap between him and the others has LITERALLY ZERO EXPLANATION.

>If it's wrong, how come no one can refute it?
You're not refuting, you're deflecting. Big difference.
>How can you say that for sure?
Because the 1v1 mode had to be designed after the fact. Not to mention the natural imbalance of characters lead to a forced "Select from these 3" randomizer or a straight up mirror match randomizer.
>The pro player wins almost EVERY match consistently
Were the game grumps playing a pro, user?

Goddamn I have such a big sweat fetish

>You're not refuting, you're deflecting.
I didn't deflect once, nigger
>Not to mention the natural imbalance of characters
I KNOW the FGCuck isn't talking about characters being unbalanced
>Were the game grumps playing a pro, user?
Oh, so you didn't watch my videos and decided to shitpost instead.

Anyone with a brain does.

is there a site or dump for stuff like this

i could write a post that explains why you're wrong, but the way you presented yourself brings me to the conclusion that you wouldn't listen or understand. that's beside the point, i didn't set out to counter you, only to point out that people won't listen to what you have to say because you type like a jackass.

>I didn't deflect once, nigger
Gimme a sec
>I KNOW the FGCck isn't talking about characters being unbalanced
The game is designed for team play, you fucking retard. The characters aren't meant to fight one on one from a roster, they're meant to engage in the context of a 6v6 objective-based game. A mercy can't beat a Roadhog 1v1 unless there's a severe skill gap between the two players. It's funny how despite me not playing this game for YEARS, I know more about it than you do.
>Oh, so you didn't watch my videos and decided to shitpost instead
Ah, there's the deflection user. You didn't answer my question and my question was a direct retort to your stupid "The pro always won, so it's skill based" statement which holds no weight when the fighting game example had nothing to do with pros vs. newcomers.

>A mercy can't beat a Roadhog 1v1 unless there's a severe skill gap between the two players.
You mean like how a Phoenix Wright can't beat a Virgil without a severe skill gap between the two players? Or like how a MODOK can't beat a Zero? But I guess it's okay when fighting games are blatantly unbalanced!
>You didn't answer my question
It was a stupid question that shouldn't even need to be answered if you watched the videos.
> your stupid "The pro always won, so it's skill based"
That's LITERALLY what skill based means, you dumb nigger, not that I expect an FGCuck to know a single thing about REAL skill.
cope

>You mean like how a Phoenix Wright can't beat a Virgil without a severe skill gap between the two players? Or like how a MODOK can't beat a Zero? But I guess it's okay when fighting games are blatantly unbalanced!
Never said that. UMVC3 had awful balancing issues, but in most cases you can still manage. I main Sean in 3rd Strike, my guy. I know better than ANYONE what it's like to play a terrible character and somehow win.
>That's LITERALLY what skill based means
Skill based means a pro can dunk on new players? I thought that was common sense. What videos did you share have Fighting game pros dunking on new players?

To me, it's to watch cool martial arts animations and sexy chicks.

The fighting genre's high barrier of entry is gradually diminishing its commercial viability. That's why there are so few new original fighting games

Attached: 1469214837454.jpg (1881x1881, 359K)

Okay, was this not obvious to literally everyone?

It's the greatest measurement of melanin known to man.

My friends and i have this inside joke:

Every house has a Dojo flag in a game we usually main. Mine is UMK3, the other is KOF 98, next one with SF Alpha, etc.

When the time is right, we put our imaginary Dojo flags on the line. Shame to the loser, high and drunk glory to the winner.

Then we get high some more and forget about it.

Pitting your skills against somebody else to see who's better. At least I believe so. It doesn't even have to be competitive, you can play casually and still have a good time. Also the energy; there's something about the raw emotion that comes from fighting games that I don't feel from other competitive games or genres whether I'm playing them myself or watching others.

>no brown tights
Ruined.

>trying to compare a game meant for 6v6 to a 1v1
FUCKING LMAOOOOOOO
You are trying really hard to make your stupid point seem valid. "b-balance issues exist in every game!" You don't play fighting games at all and just came in here to shitpost, anyone who does play can tell the difference between the two.

my brain knows thats a fake chestpiece but my little brain doesnt want to accept that

Imagine the smell

>You don't play fighting games at all and just came in here to shitpost,
I own MVC3 for 360. Try to come up with an actual argument instead of ad hominem
