- If you transfer your save (at any point) from PS3 or Vita (has to be done from the PS3/Vita in-game menu option of "Crosssave"), you will receive the harder to obtain New Game Plus items such as Concert costumes and outfits, along with $300,000. Also you receive a bonus to your Link bonds.

- The PS4 has an speed option that can be enabled/disabled using the L2 option. It makes those painfully long dungeons tolerable.

- The PS4 version contains ALL of the DLC on disc

- There is a "glitch" with Trial Pack 3. If you open it, then save, then load the game, you can reopen it again. Do it until you are level 99 using the leveling Event items to kill spawned enemies, which automatically raise your level by 1.

Filled with padding, each single story has to be split in multiple entries because whoever who's in charge of adapting shounen jump latest hot take into a mediocre rpg with mechanics stolen straight out of Persona and Fire Emblem believes that you can't do a good plot without having to traverse each modern fantasy town over and over again with a goody two shoes master of all trades protagonist, his harem of dumb bimbos who apport nothing and his background male companions.
A sad corpse of a series with even a more tragic fanbase, who cling to it either because they think niche is cool or because they spent years learning japanese just to play a literal fan fiction of a retard who played Suikoden and Xenogears and thought that a long lasting series in the same universe would be good, with political themes as understood by a 11 year old and mechas. Literally everything that Kekseki ever did has been done by literally any other jrpg series, but better and ten years before. It's no wonder why this shitshow ranks lower than the most cancerous weeb games in japan, the series has become a shittier parody of itself.

You have to collect crates that give you different weapons while avoiding the enemies, which kill you when you touch them. There's different stages you can unlock, but that's the gist of it.

You don't have to force yourself. The plot is moving at a glacially slow pace, and anything that's really important to know will be reiterated by the cast many, many times.

You need to play Trails in the Sky AND Zero/Ao no Kiseki. Trails in the Sky FC can definitely be boring and slow but if you can play it through to the end I promise you you want to play SC.

All of these games build on one another. Some more some less. CS1/2 are mostly understandable without sky/crossbell, but in CS3/4 a lot of details will fly by and many events will lack the expected emotional impact.

I played Steel before Sky and I had no problems.
Some characters reappear in Steel as side character that you know if you played Sky but you don't miss anything important at least in 1 and 2 of Steel.

Steel 1 is just as boring as Sky 1 though, the first titles are always just very long intros and build up the world and cast for the later titles.

Sky 3rd was my least favorite during my first play-through but grew higher and higher on my list as I played the Crossbell and Cross Steel games realizing just how many story arcs unknowingly being set up there.
It kinda sucks that I only learned to love it in retrospect because the whole things feels pointless when you don't realize what's going on.

3rd is cool as hell. It sets up future plots, gives extra development to the Sky cast who have some of the best characters in the series, has some cool fights, let's yu use a bunch of characters as party members and has its own great soundtrack. It's definitely structured as more of a side piece to the main course of FC and SC but it's still a great game that stands on its own merits.

Tokyo Xanadu is the first game to ever make me say "Wow I'm actually too old for this shit. Like I actually can't relate to this teen angst plot and this 'literally me' protagonist". I've played games meant for younger audiences and had a good time, but Tokyo Xanadu was the only one that had me drop it because I felt too old for it.
For example, the very first major plotline is two teenage girls crying at each other becuase one has the potential to be stronger than the other at karate. My eyes rolled into the back of my head and I haven't gone back.

It's an incomplete game, but it's short and definitely worth playing if the combat is something you like.

Gargharv is the series' awkward transitional period from the bog-standard formula of Legend of Heroes 1 and 2 to Sky FC's town arcs and Bracer duties. Unfortunately, that trilogy is kind of shit from a gameplay perspective - especially the PSP versions.
