I'm actually reading through the VN but I'm only at Chapter 6 and it's great, my favorite so far.
He couldn't draw good sure but it doesn't really matter for Higurashi and Umineko. I would even dare to say that the old sprites serve their purpose pretty well with the over-exaggerated facial expressions, and the blurry backgrounds especially contribute to the horror atmosphere as it leaves more stuff to your imagination. Reminder that they are first and foremost sound novels. The new ones are generic and stripped away the identity, in my opinion. They, along with voices, are perfectly fine for a re-read however. But in the end it doesn't really matter as you said the story is great. >/vg/ I'd rather see this game stay dead instead of ending up there
Since this shit thread refuses to die I might as well ask, do any of you guys play on other p-servers and would you recommend them? MAX is nice but it's somewhat hard to play anything that is not st2 on it.

The only other option would be remnants however it's dubbed official 2.0 for a good reason and that's not counting how similar the player base both private server share. It's all discord only, so be prepared for what that entails. Enjoy your permanent flinch state whenever someone brings in claws.

I tried remnants for a while but it didn't click with me. I don't even know about that S4C thing. Max is great because it looks like the first season which is the S4 I remember and like the best, also the retarded weapons aren't in. It's a shame there's almost nobody willing to play anything that isn't ST-2 indeed.
CS has so many counterpicks I don't get why you complain. I still play on the official aeria server too and it's not as used anymore.
