iirc I think Baker said he would've loved to have come back and reprise a role he did for atlas and was annoyed they didn't bc he probably wanted more money so Atlus just went and got Mercer instead. tl;dr he took part in shitting on Guy Cihi for trying to get Konami to give him and all the other VAs for SH2 royalties for the re-release of the game despite that Cihi eventually agreed to sign off his voice without compensation out of love for the fans. And then Troy Baker's own voice acting in the re-recording was absolutely horrendous, which is what led me to realise that Baker is really good at yelling which sets him apart from most English VAs, but he can't do anything requiring subtlety in the slightest.
