I have a 2080ti Geoforce GTX I got the first 90 days so they were out, and now i want to get a "Geforce GTX 2080ti Amp extreme." I've read in various places on the net that you can "mix and match any GTX with an SLI," but wold like better assurance before i waste my fucking money on a $1,300 card and an SLI by MSI, ASUS,ZOTAC that is over $100.
I got a Zotac (yea, I know it has a sgit reputation) but I for example got the new "Metro" last night and ut runs it bretty gud, save for the FPS being only 50 which i hope to change with a new card.
Can anyone who has done it themselves definitibely tate that if yiu get an amp extreme by the same brand, you can then use SLI to connect i to an older version on a 2080ti? Would really appreciate hearing from anyone with first hand knowledge before i piss away a bunch of money and spend 2 months fighting with amazon or walmart or wherever has it cheapest and I get it from.. Thanks.

should get an evga model. Although it doesn't really matter because they all function the same, the FTW3 Ultra is the best standard production ti but it's also the most expensive.
The FTW3 Ultra and the ASUS Rog Strix are the only cards that use custom PCB's but it doesn't really improve overclocking at all, so it doesnt matter

I'd 2nd this, putting aside the b8 and trolling in here. If you can get your hands on a water cooled card, you won't be disappointed. I have a ftw3 1080 ti hybrid. Temps are cool, noise is low, and keeps higher boost frequencies.
If money is no issue I'd suggest either the ftw hybrid, or If you're a benchmark-madman, the kingpin.
