Been a while since I played but I remember I put all of my stats into agility in order to get those really strong ranged weapons and would jump away from the enemy to cheese them because if you have enough you can jump to the other end of the map and kill them with the range weapon.

Attack increases your hit %
Defence increases your % to block and dodge incoming attacks
Strength makes your attacks do more damage and unblocks blunt weapons
Agility makes your character runfaster/jump higher and unlocks swords and ranged weapons
Iirc the next stat is constitution or health and it increases your hp
there's stamina that increases the amount of stamina you have, and the amount you restore when you rest
Magicka enables you to use spells and the potions on the church too
Charisma is the most broken stat in the game hands down without a single shadow of doubt. Increases your taunt damage, which pierces armor and instantly wins first blood fights which are the in-between fights from tournaments to tournaments, it also makes your taunt % to hit higher, and your enemies lower, it also makes the crowd more rowdier which gives you more gold per battle, while ALSO giving you incredible discounts on everything you want to buy. If you want to cheese the game, invest in a high hp/def and CHR build. Your first weapon is free to enchant, which has a chance to make your enemy miss his turn. Oh, taunting can also apply your weapons enchant damage and effect on your enemy.
