No Russia, I DON'T want gaping security holes in my system. Thanks.
Updating my drivers killed my laptop' screen, fuck you nvidia
wasn't nvidia known to release driver that decrease performance in order to better sell their new cards?
what's the current status on the gtx 1050-1080 series cards drivers?
Fixed issues in this release:
-Memory leaks occur when launching games. [2551904]
-Random desktop flicker occurs on some multi-display PCs [2453059]

THANK YOU BASED NVIDIA
>Random desktop flicker occurs on some multi-display PCs
Did they FINALLY fix this?
>on some multi-display PCs
Funny. I was getting that on single monitor
im still using 417.35 and none of that shit happens to me so i see no point in updating my drivers
I have noticed fps going up and down between different patches but I also no longer crash with my 1080 anymore when I couldn't say the same about a year ago. Sure there is a lot of other variables at play like the games themselves getting patched up but I'd rather get the new drivers and try them out than wait around using old ones.
My 1060 was performing better but were issues with everything flickering and causing me headaches.
imagine actually going to jewvidia's website and clicking the download button and going through a driver update
just imagine, there are "people" out there who do this.
Er, how else?
they do it after certain amount of years not to make you buy new cards but to make older cards last longer. Especially with gaming laptops after a set amount of time doing gaming on it the heat take its toll.
So far there is no performance decrease with 900 series and forth but anything 800 and below has taken a hit and I know it from personal experience. I use drivers from like 3 years ago and when testing new ones on it the performance hit is pretty noticeable. Games I can run at 60fps on older drivers can't go up to 40fps with new drivers... Also new drivers make the old card run hotter for some reason despite performance being lower.
>no more amd v nvidia threads
Just noticed that. I guess its because of how few new games are worth caring about. I can't think of a graphically intensive game in the last ten years that i cared about.
But it will feel good, you slut.
