Is it the best game ever made?
Is it the best game ever made?
I doubt it. I'd say it's easily a contender for game of the decade, and most certainly game of it's generation, though.
Best roleplaying game as far as stats progression, yes.
No. It's worse than Demons, Sekiro, and Bloodborne. You could make an argument it's not even the best Dark Souls game.
It's probably the most influential game made in a long time.
No
yes, for me it is
>Rememestered
It could be, if it was finished...
As it stands it's only the best game of the seventh generation and probably on the top 20-10 best of all time
>Remastered
welp
This isn't bait. Bait is to imply Dark Souls 1 is anything but above average in the series.
it's the same game you utter branlets
It has downgraded gameplay from Demon's Souls, shit enemies, shit bosses, a bunch of shit levels, it's piss easy, terribly balanced, and has a bunch of broken mechanics (like Poise). The game completely falls apart under any sort of scrutiny.
git gud
imagine what would the game be if the last levels would actually be finished
>demastered version
the game is easy and im one of the best pvpers that ever touched the game
>Remastered
Bloodborne was better
Might even say DaS3 was better.
Das3 has better bosses. Actually, ds3 has the best bosses in the series, even better than bb. Bb base game bosses are absolute shit but dlc bosses were good
>Can't even roll diagonally.
Bloodborne is, though.
It being Playstation exclusive probably helped keeping it polished and coherent, too.
This is correct. Dark Souls 1 is in last place before the massive power gap that 2 and 3 sit on the other side of. That being said, it's still a fantastic game, just worse than Demon's, Bloodborne and Sekiro.
>MASTERPIECE TIER
Dark Souls
Bloodborne
>GOD TIER
Demon's Souls
Sekiro
>GREAT TIER
Dark Souls III
>PRETTY GOOD TIER
Dark Souls II
no but it's the best souls
*Ahem*
if ds3 had a better world layout it would be the best in the series
I don't get why people suck Bloodborne's dick so much. Is it because of the Lovecraftian horror theme ?
It has the same basic gameplay as Souls with a few tweaks here and there, some of them being actually relevant, like the change to how backstabs work, while others have little to no real impact, like the ability to gain health hitting enemies right after getting hit yourself.
While you could say the core combat is slightly superior to Souls, the lack of variety in how you can/should approach situations hamper it down a bit. I'm not saying the variety in Souls games is that substantial, but neither are the combat changes Bloodborne made.
Aside from that, Bloodborne has by far the worst healing system in the series. It's arguably the most linear one as far as progression and exploration goes next to Dark Souls 3. The second half is pretty weak compared to the first (which granted, is true to most of the games in the series) in terms of overall level design and bosses and the only reason people think otherwise is because of the twist regarding story and atmosphere. It's the weakest in terms of covenants and NPC arcs. Has probably the most convoluted story. Probably the worst online
I mean, I still love the game and believe it's one of the best from this generation, but I feel like people tend to overrate too much compared to other games in the series and compared to Sekiro too.
