yeah the camo can be annoying but MGS 1 is far clunkier, less involved, and obtuse
I love all of the MGS games for their own merits but the original certainly didn't have gameplay on its side

I think Halo probably is that.

No I don't think Halo is that. CE is still a fantastic game, but I certainly don't think it's better than 3. 3 is a lot more polished. CE has flaws, like slightly repetitive levels, and lots of walking on foot, and a slightly limited range of weapons. That's just my view anyway.

Also I like Reach and 4 by the way - thought they were both great. Reach is probably better in terms of story. 4 is better for graphics. And actually I might even prefer 4 for gameplay too, although they're both great and it's hard to pick a favourite really.

5 I've not played through because I don't have an Xbox One, but I have played a bit and it feels awesome in 60 fps. It looks like they really nailed the gameplay in that game.
