Hey, tried this out earlier. Two suggestions for another update to the stage:

- Make the puzzle blocks move much faster. Currently they move so slowly that they mightn't even return once before a match ends.

- Disable grabbability on the two titled platforms, or tilt them differently. At their current angle you can grab one side of the platform and not the other, it's kind of strange.

Besides that, amazing level.

Thanks, it wasn't too hard since he's mainly just geometrical shapes to begin with. Hardest part was setting up the rails for the hands and making sure they didn't get stuck. It was beyond tedious.

I haven't joined any Spirit Arenas but I"m curious what set you're rocking.
I got all Spirits and my set for general Spirit Board grinding is a Soma with Special move power(form of a Mew) and Armor Knight(Halberd). Are you doing something interesting or going for the most powerful thing you can?
I was interested in experimenting with Spirits but nobody ever wants to play them so there's no incentive to make anything new.

I use the legendary medusa spirit which gives you giant and has 3 slots then use whichever one gives you total super armor and viridi for fast/powerful smash attacks
with ganondorf I can oneshot every non gimmick fight in the game even with type disadvantage

Okay, so not that I own any in my possession, but what if we also take screenshots of all the step-by-steps? It'd be long and tedious, but having blue prints with the grid lines showing for all actions would be a great way to replicate the stages to near-perfection, and a long-term way of preserving them in a compilation to avert the inevitable ban each one faces. Hell, I think just highlighting an entire stage reveals grid lines if I recall correctly.

Ah okay, I didn't use Giant spirits as much because I didn't feel I was taking proper advantage of the start of the match so I decided to go more with consistency through the match. I did know deep down that Giant spirits are the best though.

That's a good way to think about it. I did that at the start but I guess I lost it along the way while I was min/maxing just to get everything. I still remember the combo of Paz(start with bomb) and Plague Knight(increased explosive damage) I ran for the longest time.
Maybe I'll try to put together something new.

Stage creation tutorials are always helpful. In addition to helping people recreating dead stages it could also lead to variants of those stages. Could promote more original stages as well.

That is a primitive solution to the problem yes.
The current thinking though is that the Switch Homebrew fags will be able to cook up something. Some way to manually modify what levels are on a save and export/import things. If they can manage that there would be no need to recreate stages because we could just back them up and import them without even having to go through Nintendo. This might be limited to hacked Switches but those might be better at evading bans to share to non-hacked Switches online. I don't personally know where the Homebrew scene is at currently because my Switch isn't hacked but I've considered visiting the general thread to get an idea.

I had only ever considered themes around specific franchises but themes around specific characters definitely leaves things open to more interpretation.

Guess I never thought to do themes around characters since a lot of the characters I enjoyed were support spirits.

Fuggin' sucks that the Builder limits you. I was maxed out before I could add more detail to the Tank and layers in the background and foreground. Was even planning on adding the rescue chopper, but the Tank took priority.

I would assume Switch Hacking would allow complete edit of imported stages as that wouldn't be too difficult a box to tick. Obviously in the very far future when a Switch Emulator is in proper working order you'll be able to make stages on PC and have copies of the stage files directly.
This is all hypothesis on the future however your solution helps us currently which makes it quite valuable. So yeah, if you can remember to take screenshots of stages while creating them that would be great.

Just to follow up on Switch Homebrew it looks like things are pretty chaotic now with the new system update Homebrew people can't get online currently so they've been working on that. It'll take some time before they're able to help us with stage editing but I know Checkpoint is a pretty reliable save backup and reload tool on there so we'll at least be able to use that to back up saves with stages.
