Anyone else hoping they make a clamshell Switch? I don’t want the design to die with the 3DS

No.

What did SP stand for on the GBA SP?

>more of those awful thumb pads
NO

NINTENDO

only a nintentard would clamor for worse hardware

the lower profile of those pads are arguably better

Special Penis

clamshell is feminine. I won't miss it.

The only acceptable thing would be making a new dock to sell that has components built in to allow the whole thing to run harder games and I have no idea if such a thing is even plausible.

>32 million and counting
Cope, snoyboy.

ok? I'm an idort with a switch, I'm not retarded enough to want even weaker hardware

Maybe something like the 3DS charging dock?

It’s the same hardware inside, ideally.

>same hardware
>downgraded analog pads
yeah, no

I just want good ergonomics.

They’re better than the current Switch and Vita’s mini sticks, by far.

switch's sticks suck (I use a pro controller anyway) and I don't have a Vita, but fuck no they are not. 3DS pads are horrible in comparison

>let's release an ""upgrade"" with a smaller screen
I hope they don't do this

Why people keeps talking about a "switch mini"?

Special Poy

slide pad >>> analog stick

I'd be down for a cheap switch that targets handheld more

There are externa GPUs that connect to laptops through USB-C ports, so yeah, it is entirely possible for them to make graphics addons for the Switch

SP is the acronym Japan uses for special, so presumably Game Boy Advance Special.

the "super powered dock" thing isn't going to work cause the usb port isn't near fast enough if I recall. Nintendo didn't really future proof the switch that well

I broke my 3DS's slide pad after a few matches of Smash. They aren't designed for heavy use.

ah yes, the glorious pads that couldn't even handle smash 4's slow gameplay were great

They’re more accurate. How the fuck aren’t they?

5” is fine. The boost in PPI would be great.

they're the same accuracy except pads are 10 fold more uncomfortable. Also see

>Not having the skill to hold it and keep your fingers resting on top without pressing down on the buttons

>There are externa GPUs that connect to laptops through USB-C ports, so yeah, it is entirely possible for them to make graphics addons for the Switch

not really. this is an idea that works in concept but not in implementation

link speed over usb-c in practice is similar to pci express x1

that looks like it would have worse build quality than a N2DSXL

I fucking love the circlepad and the anti-circlepad heresy in this thread upsets me.

Switch doesn't support Thunderbolt 3. it is not ready for an eGPU.

They are fucking not. The mini sticks on the Switch and Vita offer less room for precise movements.
>uncomfortable
I find rolling my thumbs on these tiny ass analog sticks way more uncomfortable. My thumbs rest nicely in circle pads.
>Also see
You can get replacements that are literally made out of metal.

Based and good opinion.

>less room for precise movements
There is no portable game that needs those

Could they just make a second screen and attachment which can be attached to your original Switch to turn it into a huge clamshell design? I just don't want dual-screen gaming to die, bros.

Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C are not the same user just like miniDP and Thunderbolt 2 just because they're the same connector

Attached: duck usb.jpg (500x335, 41K)

I hope there is, I would get that shit.
>Circle Pad
Based. The Joy-Con sticks are fucking garbage.

I still waiting for that Switch Pro to be released

smol peen

Ok so, where the fuck do you place the screen?

I want them to add an extended display mode to the Switch Pro so that it can work like a Wii U with two displays, and then add a second screen on a clamshell version to parallel that. Just take the Switch logo off of that bottom one in that image, and put a screen there. Then maybe throw a 3DS cart slot and backwards compatibility in for good measure.

So... the SP's body can flip all the way backwards to make a stand right?

>Switch Pro
It's looking less like a switch pro and more like a switch 2 from the reports

We are probably getting a 4DS anyway.

I want a docked only version thats cheaper desu.

We don't

Switch 2 next year, so switch revisions are unlikely

SUPER PORTABLE

I hope they make a Switch Pro where the dock is more than a glorified HDMI passthrough.

This
>power supply issues
There’s no way they are getting power issues from just plopping in an X2, who knows what the fuck they are doing

Holy shit those look like garbage.

Oh god, I wish we were.

I could barely play Smash on the 3ds without my thumb joints screaming in agony. I've put a good hundred hours into handheld mode on Ultimate. Pads are NOT ergonomic.

... Between the buttons? Where else, idiot

Attached: screen.png (819x460, 16K)

Gotta move that screen, start and select go there
Also power for the device should be clearly visible
Upload to twitch button
Nvidia replay button
Add friend button, it's a social device
Play mario button

You fit them on there, user.
I'm at work.

I want a larger switch the size and ergobnomics of the wiiU gamepad with more power; the switch as it is now is too small to use comfortably.

see above

wrongest post i've seen this week

i wouldn't mind it, the reason i haven't gotten a switch is because it's too big in my hands i need something smaller and actually portable to justify it.
