I can't believe how shit it is. If you thought MKX changed a lot from MK9, you're in for a surprise. They took the same faggy, COD loadout system from Injustice, and made it 10x complicated. On top of this, you have to pick which abilities or special moves to use. The characters, even the men, are ugly except for Cage and Kano.
It looks like we'll all be wasting 6 months of our time trying to figure out this complicated ass system. Why can't it just be a normal fighting game and each character has their own special moves? Was it really necessary to add the rest of the bullshit? I still can't find the NORMAL tower battle, or ladder. They even changed "Practice mode" to "Learn". How retarded.

It looks okay. But what else can you expect? It's a Switch version of a modern game. It's not going to look like the PS4 Pro version or Xbox One X. The fact that it even runs is a miracle in and of itself. Hell, the fact that we're even getting a fucking Mortal Kombat game after all this time is amazing.

Krypt tokens are back for the unlockables, like in the older games there are multiple currencies, on the surface it looks very mobile game ish but there isn't a real money option to buy currency yet.

So it's like a multi-layered grindfest where you have to buy something in order to buy something else in order to buy something else just to get the desired unlockable?

I've only played through an hour or so, I don't know if the Krypt's unlocks are random but there's puzzles now, and a real time clock.

He has been positive about the gameplay, even about the krypt being a big 3D world. But this grind is unbelievable, those towers are just bullshit and everything costs way more than it ever did before.
