There are ups and downs certainly, even within videos, but I will absolutely hold fast that up through FFXIII and the latter Ultima reviews, including the Runes of Virtue videos, Spoony only got better as time went on. After that is when he completely fell apart mentally and the small handful of videos he did make afterward absolutely showed it, but Spoony in no way peaked early on. Even just within the Phantasmagoria playthrough, it got better after he started editing it more and adding punch-up, the first hour drags like my ballsack.

He wasn't running from the cops, but he ran a red light and hit two other motorists, then when the cops showed up he lied and told them he had the green, and kept lying about it even after the top told him straight-up that other witnesses confirmed that he did not have the green and that one of the people he hit had dash cam video of the incident.

You got a source on that? The video I saw was the patrol pulling up to the scene of the accident and asking everyone what happened. Doesn't seem like they would have needed all that if the cops were on his tail and watched the whole thing go down to begin with.

I watched all of his Ultima video and loved them. I'd never played the series and only knew them via the names. But, his passion for the games really came through and I was entertained throughout.

He ranted about a sphere cutscene with no dialogue...from a scene he cut the dialogue out. FFXIII he shredded and placed cutscenes out of line with the story to try and make it appear more confusing. He was done, he was no longer arguing why each game was worse than the last. He was just trying to make each one look as bad as possible through any means.

Cop finally starts to close in on the intersection from 2:40 to 3:00, and see not even a hint that the crash was occurring at that time. The cars involved are completely stopped and traffic is already moving around them.

I don't recall him ranting about any of the spheres not having dialogue, just that most of the early ones were worthless/not worth the extreme effort it took to acquire them.

In any case, I haven't played those games and don't know how much he cut up the footage. I'm sure he was very unfair to them. But then again I don't really care. I never watched Spoony's videos to decide whether a game was worth playing, I watched his videos as entertainment, and his Final Fantasy reviews to me absolutely got more and more entertaining with each subsequent one (except the extended "gross materials upgrading" skit from the XIII, which I always skipped past whenever I rewatched it.

Those people are literally insane. Like they honestly thought Spoony was going to go straight to jail for a car accident, and/or going into financial debt for it, when really these kinds of accidents happen every second of every day and, barring any deaths, usually you pay a fine and insurance takes care of the damages (if you have it).

What I really don't get are the regulars on there who follow Spoony daily like reading the newspaper and just moving onto another eceleb or doing something else. He hasn't churned out content in a long time and is basically a nobody right now. Schadenfreude, I guess.

I used to put them on to fall asleep. They were long and besides the obnoxiously loud "IN MY THOUGHTS AND IN MY DREAMS...." opening, the volume was level throughout. But I noticed something. There is a clear point where he completely starts to lose it, for lack of a better term. The last handful of those he made, he started to sound insane. The ravings and rantings were getting weird. He started to look like a dude with a mental condition. I totally understand that Spoony is fucked mentally, I just don't know what his official diagnosis would be.
