Any friends?
>best final fantasy game in years is not even a final fantasy game
Ninja main class
Hasten World
Spam Jump
Playing right now in Citra at Level 58 in Chapter 3, what's the most overpowered class and lore combination?
I'm real sad that I lost my cartridge, since I wanted to mix up some of the classes more. I wanted to get into the banker, spiritualist, idol, sage and time mage ones since I really didn't know what they did. For my playthrough, I got Tiz to fully lebel up the freelancer, thief and hunter. Agnes was white, black and summoner. Edea was kinght, dancer, and templar. Ringabel was a monk, pirate, and alchemist. I really liked how you could mix and match classes
I find the character dynamic more interesting in the first game than the second...but Bravely Second is fun to play.
I recall putting tons of hours on fft on the ps1 and GBA, then I play the shit out of tactics ogre...
Besides the job system, the skill and equipment management makes me drip
Any Yea Forumsros want to be friends??
Lore skills are literally useless btw
Please post more Agnes
Ok
Spiritmaster
>using lore skills
Too small but too hot
Valkyrie with Hasten World, but this is obviously an oversight as it literally breaks the game.
Dark Knight otherwise, you can inflict 160,000 - 240,000 damage per turn with 2 Dark Knights, but your whole party will have to be built to support them.
And if you want something simple, use Pirate + Dual Wield or Time Mage + Phantom Weapon, both with Free Lunch.
Wait until chapter 5. Game completely falls apart around that time.
It is so very obviously a Final Fantasy game to a T, so I really, really wonder why it wasn't called Final Fantasy. It's blatantly Final Fantasy.
Like it's no Final Fantasy rip-off or a Final Fantasy like. It's straight up Final Fantasy, and yet it's not called Final Fantasy.
Square Enix are weird.
The first game is pretty good until about Chapter 5, at which point it drags, though the character beats are pretty neat.
The second game is a bit too jokey and memey, but it has a more cohesive narrative. Also Yew is the best.
just wait till you get to the loop
Edea's fat ass on my face, NOW.
Why the fuck is Agnes always such a cunt? Holy shit I just started chapter 3 and she is still bitching at Edea, and bitching about joining the war. I just want to beat her
It actually gets good since the difficulty spikes and you need to actually learn how to play.
Chapter 3 is the part where she learns to be less of a bitch.
Did you ever play Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, OP? A lot of the enemies (and the Norende bosses) are from that game.
Too bad the game itself is kinda shitty. Doesn't even let you select targets, so you don't get to choose who you want to attack or heal.
No, i play the original ffIV on the anthology PS1
4HoL is a completely different game from IV.
please user don't say lewd things like that
>"Stealing is wrong, Jackal!"
>murders Jackal and steals his asterisk
You get your shit pushed in by Red Mage yet? Or are you playing on Children Mode?
Everyone before Chapter 3 is a little bitch, though.
It's old Final Fantasy. But that's not what they want to market as Final Fantasy.
Jrpg veteran here, grinding like a Japanese hikikomori
Still bumping for friend request
I just finished the prologue actually
I wanted it but decided not to buy it due to censorship.
>missing out on a 9/10 FF because two details from a 2 cm chibi model got modified
user pls, if we were talking about the sequel this might be another story, but really now.
Bravely Default is barely censored compared to the sequel.
I coulda used one less repeat of the the new world shit, got pretty old.
i've played both
really love the job system and i like the brave/default system it's a nice addition to a classic turnbased jrpg
the job system is the real standout, there are so many fuckin broken ass combo's you can come up with, hell the game even tells you about the strongest one which is Minus Strike into 3x Phoenix Flight
Chapter 8 had a bunch of optional boss fights where the NPC's would use the job system to create their own interesting combo's too
that said the story oh boy, things are good the first time you go around the world but the story will take a big nosedive eventually, but try and stick with it.
2nd game is worth playing too
Different user, I enjoyed the first one but after years am still salty about the censorship.
>you will never be raped by Edea
Why not? It's goddamn huge!
Thanks for reawakening my obsession with this game
Of course.
:*
Spellcraft was such a cool addition for Second. Modifying spells to bypass the turn order or do physical damage is a great way to give spellcaster classes a lot of agency.
Too much, in fact. Using summons mixed with Spellcraft does retarded damage and makes early game a joke.
This pretty much. First playthrough the dissonance is strong when you realize that whenever you meet someone cool and interestingly designed, you're about to murder them and eat their power.
I was playing it but I keep dropping the game cuz it gets boring at points.
Manage to transfer it to my PC so I can load it on Citra but I stopped at the point where Edea gets back home and havent touched it since.
By the way why the fuck that Kunoichi bitch is so hard to beat? Is her class even worth the work?
Second did it far better, IMO.
>Is her class even worth the work?
If I remember right, her class allows you to cheese the giant dragons locked up in those towers by just endlessly countering everything.
It's funny how the smart addition of a class that can customize magic took mages from subpar damage dealers in Default to the broken as shit meteor+rain monsters of Second.
