Great Cave Offensive belongs in the shit tier with the rest of these. It's an absolute nightmare outside of 8 participant matches

Most of melee's stages are complete dogshit tho. Brawl had the best stages (before Ultimate, obviously).

Absolute trash. Motherfuckers don't even beta test their epik kool stages before uploading. You need recovery like Snake's infinite to get anywhere with this crap.

My Music actually does jackshit for online. I’ve set one song for each and every stage and they never play.

What? It has to be Mario Bros. No other stage completely destroys the standard play of Smash and devolves it into tossing items like Mario Bros does.

It's like, he saw how terrible Icicle Mountain was, so he decided to one-up himself. And you HAVE to fight on Rumble Falls in Classic and All-Stars mode.

It’s a fucking dumb gimmick stage, but it serves its purpose as just being dumb wacky item play. At the very least, a match on Mario Bros will almost always end very quickly.

Electroplankton can take so fucking long, and the complete lack of bgm makes it even more awkward.

I once thought like you. Then I heard the gospel of Great Cave Offensive and learned how it could be much much worse.

Only bad melee stage is icicle mountain. Flatzone, kraid and venom are kinda lame but worth playing once in a rare while.

Turn it and palutena’s temple into smash run stages and they’d be pretty fun.

Mario Bros. is one of the absolute best casual stages for that reason. Some gameplay variety is a GOOD thing.

At least it has a cozy FD/Battlefield variant. Other bad stages don't even have that
