Is it me, or does this game just get comfier and comfier with age? Like, honestly, everytime I play this game I'm compelled to play it listening to a podcast or like some indian music or something. Anyone else feel like this when they play JC2 nowadays?

Fuck I really gotta play this game again. Haven't played since the multiplayer mod came out on Steam
I used to spend countless hours in this, just driving around and listening to music, occaisonally blowing something up. A really comfy experience indeed, fond memories.
I love Panau, it's probably my favorite setting in all the JC games, mainly because of how chill it is to just drive around
You know what, might as well. JC2 thread

Is JC4 any good?
It's good to randomly re-install it and load up my old save and just continue taking over settlements
This screenshot is giving me the urge to reinstall. I haven't played this in ages, so it feels kind of nostalgic to me.
>2010 was 9 years ago
playing it right now
I don't hate 3 and 4 like a lot of people around here but they're still missing some of the magic that 2 has.
I played it for a couple of hours. Its terribly optimized, looks like ass and the characters are bland as fuck. Couldn't stand a second more of it and uninstalled. I loved 2 and 3 though
Although the world has a lot of copy-paste, there is actually tons of content in this game
My name is bolo santosi
>listening to some indian music
This is 9 year old army territory, fuck off T-gay
I bought 3 for 5 dollars the other day but I hate it. There are too many fucking cutscenes, and the actual gameplay of taking over towns and such just isn't all that fun. And I don't want to do fucking races to improve my character. Also the game runs like ass, even if I can manage to get it to be somewhat stable by lowering all the settings the memory leaks still force me to restart my computer after playing for like an hour.
this game unironically has soul. everything about it is just to right and nothing needs to be added or taken away.

So why is 2 so much better than 3 and 4?
Other than SOUL ofc
For some reason with the other games they toned down the corny action movie parody aspect, which always seemed odd to me
every island, very village, every hilltop you visit feels like an actual place. you can play the game for dozens of hours without realising there are a group of NPCs racing forever on an island near the main airport with routes that vary slightly and whose cars you can ride without disturbing them. Contrast it with JC3 where there's one island with a race track with no racers.
reinstalled recently, only ever played it on ps3 back in the day but running on PC now. Comfy game to drive around and explore while listening to podcasts and such. This game nailed the map design so well despite how its actually just copy and pasted places, yet it still feels fun to find all the towns. Why were the subsequent games not as fun in that regard?
I think that the fact collectible parts do not appear in the map and are only traceable by the signal thingy, plus the fact that they are not limited to appear in towns made you look and explore for any landmark-looking place to see if they had set one there.
And damn the collectible locations were cool as fuck outside of the towns.
Played it with my friend a ton when we were in high school. Managed to get the 75% completion achievement. Good times
