Why's it called Final Fantasy if it hasn't ended yet?
The one where I know the world of real emotion has surrounded me
fpbp
7
Best is VII, but favorite... Probably XIII-2
IIRC the creators made the game as a last hurrah and if it never took off then it was just that: final fantasy
9 followed by 5 and 12.
I masturbated to the pic on the right probably more than to anything else in this world as a young boy discovering masturbation
Is 12 Zodiac worth playing?
FFTA or XIV.
Go for it.
Don't go for it.
XIII
please help everyone hates me
>please help everyone hates me
What do you like about 13?
Idk. Idek where to start with this series. Can I play 1 and work my way up? Do I just play the games everyone argues over like 6, 7, and 12?
Which is it?
That fucking water rugby final fantasy turned me off of ff forever when I was a kid. So fucking boring
Crystal Chronicles, as long as you have a couple of friends to play with.
I would say play 1, 4, 6, 7 and 10 then just see which games in the series look good after that
Final Fantasy 2 is my favorite.
VII, IX, IV, FFTA
dont care about the rest
oh and X is pretty darn great
7, 8 and 9
the rest is garbage
based
V is my favourite to play but VIII is my favourite over all
I love V but the only English versions are GBA with butchered audio and iOS/Steam that has horrible character sprites and aesthetics.
Paine is why I find thin bulldykes with pretty faces attractive. Thankfully they are a rare niche.
VI was clearly the peak.
Tactics would be better if it didn't take so long and have broken rescue missions that you can autofail with bad luck.
I like 1, 10, and 13. Probably because they're the only ones I've played.
You can, but the older games can feel really outdated. Thankfully, most of the games are not connected, so you can play them in any order. I suggest starting with VI. Its a great starting point since it has solid mechanics, a good story and snappy pacing. IV and V are good too, although they are a bit slower and can take some patience to really get into it.
VII and IX are the other two must-play games you can follow with. X is also worth it for the battle mechanics if you can put up with a goofy story and annoying characters. And try XII if you can deal with the hands-off combat style.
Also, play Chrono Trigger. Its not FF, but it was included in FF Chronicles, so close enough. Its a phenomenal RPG.
Why is he in the water with clothes on?
Go for it. It's my favorite FF.
Yes its fucking amazing
>Favorite: FFXI: Chains of Promathia storyline
>First FF: FFVIII
>Most played: FFXI: Aht Urghan era
>Least favorite: FFXIV
>Underrated one: FFT
>One currently playing: FFX
8
You immediately get naked when encountering water?
The one when I put on my rose-tinted glasses.
VIII is kino.
It's ok user. Far from my favourite but I liked it. Maybe because I actually played it and didn't fall for the "it's just press x to win" meme.
VII. Sometimes VI depending on the day.
What about the Final Fantasy Anthology version?
Not him, and I haven't played that version in so long I barely remember anything, but the translation wasn't the greatest from what I've heard. Like, they translated wyvern as Y-Burn. Though the GBA version's localization is VERY liberal and just makes shit up at times.
Preciate the suggestion. Final fantasy looks kinda overwhelming to me.
8
dragon quest 5
the one on the left
That's actually an urban legend. It was originally going to be called "Fighting Fantasy" but that name was already trademarked so they had to change it last minute to Final Fantasy
X, X-2 and VIII.
SS tier is equivalent to 11/10.
Type-0 HD
FFIX is the best one
I’m playing X right now it’s pretty great
FFXII for the world. FFTA made me fall in love with RPGs and srpgs and tactics games and fantasy worlds in games, and 12 was the world I loved in ffta but actually realized in a visual and 3d form. Also balthier is the single best character I've seen in a video game, let alone an ff game.
Best taste here
VII
Play it, but on the ps4. It has a speed up function which makes the game go by much smoother/faster if your not as sucked into the world and combat. Best voice acting of the series, and I guess that's a big thing for me.
X because those 2 are the only ones i played.
X-2 is still my biggest gaming buyers remorse but i really liked X.
Also not him, I've been playing that version on my vita, after playing it as a kid on the GBA, and the load times are really killing it for me. Every. Single. Encounter. Wish they took the ps1 port and just tweaked it a little so it could run faster like the GBA ports did.
>Want to play FFVII on the switch because it's more comfy
>Already halfway in on the PS4 version
What do I do?
What’s wrong with x-2
>Best voice acting of the series
What? the compressed audio makes everyone sound like they have a cold
For some reason I dont mind that, to me it just sounds like their talking into a bad mic like an old radio show or tv show from 60+ years ago. But it's the delivery that I care about more than the audio quality.
It's inferior to X and I'm not a girl. I can't say i hated it but i can say it was definitely not for me.
Based tier list
V is the best for me, i keep my ol gameboy advance in the nightstand with ff5 in it just to replay it occasionally.
I also really like 3 for the DS, might be in my top 3
>I'm not a girl
You should be.
>I'm not a girl
With all the fan service I doubt it was marketed towards girls.
Did you play the game? It's the most girly game i have ever seen.
Ds remake of 3 is so damn good. Obv everyone on here loves talking about REmake2, but that's also cause it's so new, but the FFIII remake is seriously one of the best of all time.
12 anything else is shit tier
What are your most memorable FF moments?
>tfw you brought all mages for oeilvert during first playthrough
Based, except you have worst character in shot
I love ntr so much
Agreed, I have a boner for everything Ivalice though.
12
Probably still 7. Had my favorite world and characters. Still find it the most fun, too.
Honestly FFVIII.
It was the first one I played as a kid and the one I'm most fond of.
How’s it feel to have shit taste retard
All of them are pretty neat in their own ways
This is the real correct answer.
based and strahlpilled
>Also balthier is the single best character I've seen in a video game
cringe
>People actually like a game that plays itself
lmao
All I want from squareenix is to go back to that world once more. I played everything even the ds games, Ivalice is just the most interesting fantasy world I've seen in games and I cant get enough.
the game literally cannot play itself without your input
Maybe its cause I got into programming when I was in hs around when I played 12 as well, but the combat mechanics to 12 are basically like basic premise to programming, where you make a simple code to run an efficient sequence, and seeing that sequence play out is satisfying. Obv 12 mechanics are wayyy simpler than even basic programming, but it's a similar enough method where making the strategy around an efficient gambit is most of the fun. Running around and auto battling is almost as complicated as most other FF's anyway where youd just be tapping x over and over in between running around.
This made me kek. I actually have 8 but never got past the first 2 hours I think. Don't know why because I like the game
By the time you get 12 gambit slots the game is over.
9 or 12
The combat system
You can get all the gambit slots before the story is even halfway over
Exactly; then it finishes itself
The battle system, the artstyle, and the story. Artificial gods restrained by their programming scheming to rebel against the actual god and getting stopped by a couple of lesbians was so final fantasy it hurt.
Keep on truckin' user.
>B-b-but I like my late grinding
Good, by the time I'm halfway through the game I'm fine just messing around with what I want and filling out the zodiac board while I wrap up the story.
He doesnt even like the hunts system
I guess I can understand why 12 didnt bring you any joy then
cringe
I don't know if I can call it great taste but it isn't shit taste.
>tfw some anons can say X is god tier while calling XIII shit in the same breath
Something can have a lot of fanservice AND be marketed to girls. Makes you think...
Not counting the MMO titles, FF3.
>Jhil isn’t a boss in XIII.
>Is a boss in XIII-2 despite already being dead.
XIII-2 really feels like what the first one should have been.
9 is the best, Steiner and Vivi are the coolest. After that 14
9 or tactics
Sorta agree. Mechanically yes, but Serah and her sideboi were less fun than the XIII cast.
And of course I lament that best girl was denied a proper bossfight she so deserved and got cutscene'd like a bitch.
I remember 13 coming out and being blown away by the art style and graphics design. It really was gorgeous at the time, and while I didnt really like half the cast, I also got behind the gods being limited by their conditioning and trying to break free from those restraints. My main issue was just the way they handled the plot, the terms they starting throwing at you in the first hour made no sense and I had to wiki the plot as I went to make sense of it, just cause its presentation was so poor and convaluted at the onset. I just kept playing for snow, hes a bro.
I wish the first game had introduced Caius. He’s one of the much better villains in the series and would have been more interesting than following RoboPope’s orders the whole game.
Based Rikku poster.
X. It was the first FF I played and I really like games with tropical settings.
>Not liking Blitzball
I actually havent played XIII-2 or 3. I always kinda wanted to, they were just too low on my laundry list of games I needed to get around to. Lightning returns actually looked pretty interesting to me, at least more than XIII-2. I really liked snow and I didnt want to see him get cucked by some dumb protag who came in and ran around everywhere with his wife, when I really wanted XIII-2 to be about snow and sarah instead. Is it possible to just skip to XIII-3 or should I do them all in order?
LR won’t make much sense with the context of 2 but if you don’t care about the story or the massive Lightning wank it’s worth a play. It has a fun and unique battle system.
13 and 12
7 because Tifa Lockhart has a white father.
I’m with you there user, the game has a special place in my heart for various reason, I do understand people’s valid complaints about it, but I’ll still always love it
Well when I played the demo, LR seemed to be around lightning and snow (and some new antagonist), who were pretty absent from 2 from what I know. I guess there's some time plot stuff in 2 that I'll need to know? But from what I could tell it seemed like there wasnt as much overlap of characters between 2 and 3.
4, it's the only one where it's actually challenging, and you go to the moon and fight moon ghosts
Tifa is the greatest female character in gaming. I dont fucking know how there isnt more porn of her. Like theres a lot, but goddamn she deserves so much more
Hottest is what I meant to say, but I guess greatest can also work, lol
Re6 Ada is hotter desu
The next one.
pet favortie: 8. the community theories about the story were cool, the junction system was abusable in a fun way (compared to say FFT which was abusable in a game breaking and boring way)
entire package: 10. the voice acting is comically bad but the battle and progression systems are perfect, but maybe i have a bias against ATBs. the story is REALLY REALLY coherent and impactful compared to pretty much any other FF. come at me.
better than people say: 15. people complain that this game is gibberish but honestly it's a classic FF with some fancy paint. it felt a little more like a persona game mixed with a kingdom hearts game but fuck it i found it amazing. there's something about it being noct's fate to die for no reason (and he knows it) that makes the game special.
7 or 9
II
I skipped 6. Played every other resident evil. Is it worth going back to if I dont have a buddy to co op and make it fun like I had with 5?
The only one I've played is XII and I love it. Is VIII any good? I saw some fanart of the black haired chick from the game and she's beautiful
Final shit 15 2.0
Did you know XII is getting a sequel?
I know it had Revenant wings on DS, but I haven't played that
Snow unironically had the coolest weapon.
I did have fun with it but honestly I wouldn’t recommend it, if you’re looking for survival horror the game is the complete opposite
VI
VII
IV
V
IX
X
III
VIII
I
XV
XII
XIII
II
XI = XIV
XIII-2 is just XIII but better in terms of mechanics.
>4
>challenging
Literally one of the easiest ff to break
Kuja says that you can't use magic there are you actually retarded??
They're all easy
>people that enjoy xiii exist
I thought I was alone.
I'm with you user. Even though VII is my favorite, I loved XIII as well
X-2 and 13-3 have the best gameplay and are thus unironically the greatest Final Fantasy games.
I'm more of a gameplay fag, so I kind of agree with this list.
9 and 10-2 hold very special places in my heart, FFTA as well, I was glued to my GBA when it came out. I really liked XV, it's nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be.
LR features most of the old cast in "sections" of the game. Stripper club city has Snow's storyline (by far the best one), nature area has Sazh's, religious city has Noel's, etc.
The story will make no fucking sense without XIII-2 tho
I love 8 so much I think its only flaw is just not really knowing who Ultimecia really is even as a villain. And the orphanage stuff yikes.
X is great and I think the voice acting gets too much crap for the time it was made and it really only being a line or two here or there that sounds weird.
I like XV when it's running around killing stuff with pals. Just about everything else about it is very mediocre which considering the wait I can see why people are so against it.
They should.
Of all the wonderful games the series has given us, you chose the most absolute restrictive one as your favorite. There is legitimately something wrong with you.
explain why this mega chad looked so much better in the original than the remake.
Also fuck al bhed
FFVIII: Dirge of Cerberus
First FF game I ever played. Enjoyed the shit out of it.
Tried playing X, but got tired of the constant shitty cutscenes.
Shit. Too many "I"s
XV is the only one I finished
the first disc is the best part of 8. the junction system might be a bit weird if you've played other FF games before 8. dont waste your time grinding Draw from mobs for spells, you can refine spells from cards and items way quicker and easier
can't find the source on this. probably fake
FFX but it's been a while. I'm replaying it now and it's not as fun as I remember but it's still good. Going to try out FF12 soon. I've never played it before but I'm told its good.
FF7. The artwork pulled me in mostly, but the story and characters hooked me.
I was glad when Aeris died. Never saw her appeal.
Your damned right he did. Monk was my favorite class in 1, 3, and 5 so that also helped my enjoyment of snow. That and his optimism was refreshing from how fucking butthurt and edgy and annoying lightning and hope were: their spite for snow just made me like him all the more.
No fucking way. Dont mess with me dude, that will probably be my most anticipated game if its true.
5
I don't get why everyone finds X's characters to be so annoying. Yeah they're somewhat annoying with Rikku's autism and Wakka's racism but they're an endearing bunch.
Well it's a team uniform for underground rugby if you want the game's answer, but it's just Nomura character designs being super garish.
It was something with the lips, they're way too pronounced in the remake I found, and the dated plastic hair bothered me too.
>The battle system
lolwut. You can only control the main party member and even then you can only select who that is once you get to about the last quarter or so of the game. Aside from that it's just a simplified form of the basic FF battle system with a retarded stagger system that does nothing but pad fights for length. Also summons are completely useless.
10
>her sideboi
Noel was the lead in XIII-2
>hope's mom dies in snow's arms. The entire group of people he was leading dies
>he's all cheeky and jokey five minutes later
I can get where they're coming from. Snow kind of comes across as a massive douche. In the beginning, despite being in the middle of a genocide, it's like he didn't take anyone's lives seriously. Even his fiancee, who was trapped in hostile territory and could die any minute, he's just like "Lol, I'll be back in time for dinner guys"
> it's a classic FF with some fancy paint.
lolno.
> bland. samey world with exactly 0 interesting locations.
> main cast all share a backstory instead of a rag-tag group of adventurers from different walks of life coming together for a common goal.
> easily the worst action jrpg combat ever.
> story that was gutted so Squeenix could make CGI movies and anime miniseries nobody asked for and story DLCs that don't get integrated into the main campaign even though they did it with Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
> literally added a fucking multiplayer expansion nobody asked for when the base game wasn't even finished
> story DLC cancelled so the game will literally be forever unfinished.
> stat customization is literally just basic modern AAA rpg skill trees rather than anything interesting like Materia, Sphere Grid, Magicite, FFIX's equipment, or any Job System
> don't add any more characters to the party throughout the game
Quit being a XV apologist.
this is why snow is always near the top in "worst FF character" polls lmao
She didn't die in his arms, she either passed out or let go of Snow's hand and fell to her death.
There isn't much he can do expect continue pressing forward, all the characters are in impossible situations and he's simply the only one who'd rather do something instead of bitch about fate like Light.
just play 14
He's really popular in Japan. Burgers don't like him because he's not enough of an Nietzschean edgelord.
The PS1 era games.
X was trash
XI shouldn't have been numbered
And it's all downhill from there.
Why would I do that
This.
really least favorite 14?
not 1 or 2 or 5 or 8, but fucking 14?
6, but I'm playing through 7 for the first time right now and haven't played 9 so maybe I'll change my mind
4 to 7 are all you need, believe me. Now it's a series for sexual degenerates.
is the most close to the thone of 12, its lore is conected to 12, and you visit some places from 12
>There isn't much he can do expect continue pressing forward,
It's not about pressing forward or not. It's about being respectful to the dying people around you. Would you think laughing next to the dead bodies in Hiroshima would be fine?
>rather do something instead of bitch about fate like Light.
Lightning was a "lel tough bitch drill sergeant" type. I remember her usually telling other party members to stop bitching. Wasn't Hope the biggest whiner?
I remember Japs fucking hating him lmao. LR might have changed that. He's much better there.
I agree 14 is shit dude
might not have played II
No it isn't. That's all fan service and hardly justifies buy a subscription for a skinner box.
5 all the way. I'll never get tired of it, for some reason.
...of course the mobile remake doesn't exist.
Did someone say "roof of Riovanes castle"?
Quistis is the only good one anyway.
yes it is, in fact 14 have a lot more heavy politics and serious thone than 12.
>M-MUH WAIFUS
>M-MUH DICK
>*fap* *fap* *fap*
A douche? It's called optimism. If anything the mom character was dumb for fighting, she kept saying shit like "moms are tough" and then she just got offed in battle like expected. Snow was just being blindly optimistic cause that's what he needed to be for his hopeless crew of rebels to keep pushing on. Hope was even dumber than his mom for blaming her death on snow and not herself cause she signed up for that war, snow never made her.
No it isn't; Ivalice has a completely different history in XIV's lore and it's a small region. What's heavy politics even supposed to mean?
See
The problem is with how flippant he came across.
>Lightning Returns
>S tier
The game is ass, yeah.
He wasn't laughing while anyone was dying around him, what are you talking about? He gets as horrified as anyone else.
FFT and FFX-2. FFT has amazing everything, music, gameplay, story. FFX-2 has the best gameplay I've seen in a JRPG, story sucked ass but going through it was fun with the characters.
Immediately after walking down a corridor littered with dead bodies and meeting up with all of his retard buddies, I distinctly remember him laughing and joking.
VIII because it actually introduces a new battle system that punishes hoarding retards and retards with slow reaction time. its so fucking retarded that you can pause and scroll through your shit without consequence because of the gay ass turn base system
Also having a fun race with his Wakka ripoff friend
V or T
childhood
FF9
teens
FFT
adult
FF8
>that punishes hoarding retards
>draw and junction system needs to farm 30 minutes for a full efficiency 99 stock draw
???
That's him and his posse trying to clean up, what's with the finger wagging and all these standards you're trying to impose on their behavior? When chat with them as Hope they're pretty serious about the situation. Snow and his gang are otherwise trying to keep their spirits up so they can keep going.
Purely from personal preference and not actually rating the games on their quality. I played the series in order on release date aside from FF1 which I played in 1989.
Great: 8>4>6>7>10>FFT
Okay: 1>13>15>10-2>9>5
Trash: 12>3>2>13-2
Didn't play: 13-3 11 14
He was introduced right around when Hope's mom was also introduced. The whole squad was weirdly cheerful and uppity for being a rebel terrorist group. Snows cheerfulness was equally matched by the mom being weirdly "yeah I can fight too" and treating the whole thing like a game. I dont attribute that to snow in particular being careless about others, I see that whole arc as being weirdly jokey and cheerful for the setting, and even in hs when I was playing it I assumed there were some translation changes for how cheerful everyone was. Later on it's very clear how much snow cares for others and tries to protect others, so you cant really attribute it to his personality throughout the game, it's just the opening due to him being a part of the "jokester group of terrorists".
The cutest
Snow's gang isn't a 'rebel terrorist group', maybe rebels during the purge, but where are you getting 'terrorist' from? They were a gang of orphans protecting their home town from monsters the Guardian Corps doesn't, and the government didn't mind them at all.
The whole beginning suffers from tonal problems. So we're supposed to take this horrible mass murder purge seriously when the team Nora retards and Vanille are laughing about the place?
>so you cant really attribute it to his personality throughout the game
It happened, though. And it's your FIRST impression of him. It's the main reason people fucking hate Snow.
X and 1(psp)
I like Snow
>ganguro yuffie
don't accept substitutes
are the switch and ps4 versions based on the original ps1 version with all the cussin, Mr T Barret, and Tifa calling him a retard?
And any of the other characters have realistic reactions to everything in the game? The whole cast is pretty zany even for an ff game, their all extreme caricatures, hope is insufferably whiney, lightning is ridiculously angsty, snow is unrealistically optimistic, vanille is so childish she acts like she in literal grade school, you cant really say one character acts ridiculous and not include the whole cast.
Cool, but it's why he's number 3 on this list:
ranker.com
Hey they're both cute in their own way. You dis either of them and I'll take you down user.
XII > X-2 > literally any other one, the rest are all bad
Jesus, you're retarded. It's Final Fantasy, not fucking black ops grit simulator 5. It's intended for teens and young adults and it's not meant to be grim. So you trying to pull this "Snow is a sociopathic crazy asshole because he doesn't acknowledge dead bodies" bullshit is retarded. Nobody in Final Fantasy does that, period. That's like making the argument that Zell is a fucking monster because he beats galbadians to death and then makes jokes about hotdogs or some stupid shit. I doubt you can even name a final fantasy that doesn't involve the heroes brutally murdering enemy soldiers or monsters and then casually making jokes or acting cocky.
Yuffie and Rikku really aren't alike. Yuffie is cocky, rogueish, and a few comical moments but much more serious than Rikku. Rikku is borderline Looney Tunes, she has more in common with Selphie.
Only two I thought, given the situation, were way too fucking far out there were Snow and Vanille.
When the soldiers are referring to them they are constantly saying "terrorists". Yeah we see them as the good guys from the perspective were shown but I'm referring to them the way the country at large is looking at them.
Ranker lists are shite
It's the flippant attitude toward his allies, not the enemy, that's annoying
Idk why are Edward, Sazh, or Cid towards the top of that list, they all seemed fine to me.
He's talking about at the very very beginning of the game. The government only regards them as terorrists after the initiation of the purge/them becoming l'cie. Before that, they're just vigilantes, not terrorists. It's supposed to be part of the backstory that isn't very well established for why Lightning doesn't like Snow(she's basically the equivalent of a mall cop or just a rookie cop at the beginning of the game and Snow is basically a flashy vigilante fag that butts heads with them and she sees him as all talk or something).
Edward is the worst character in Final Fantasy. Sazh is cool and Cid from IV is whatever
>When the soldiers are referring to them they are constantly saying "terrorists"
When does that happen?
FFV is my favorite. It has a lot going on for it. Space travel. Crossing dressing pirate. Chocobo riding. Job system. An over the top villain. Battle on the big bridge first appearance. A death I find more meaningful then Aerith. Missables. Fairly darn good soundtrack. Omega Weapon. If you play one of the later editions there is a few extra jobs and an extra dungeon and extra super boss. Fair amount of weapons. Some wackiness within the story.
I like FF5's gameplay and all but the story is just ass and the whole game feels really clunky to me compared to both 4 and 6. I just don't like it for some reason. It's not the worst FF, but I do think it's the worst SNES FF.
So that's the tonal problem of the beginning, not snow's problem. I agree with you, the whole beginning felt off, I didnt give a fuck all these people were getting killed off because the plot didnt give me a reason to care. I knew our enemy was the villains as they were taking advantage of people, but other than the main cast the opening failed to get me to care for the city or town being attacked. I started to care about sarah when I found out about her connection to snow and lightning and what had happened to her, but all body counts before her I couldnt give a flying fuck about cause everyone was too goofy for me to seriously. After the first section, around when Shiva came out, that's when I started caring about snow cause he was fighting for optimism when lightning was angrily saying they should give up. Your point doesnt carry weight against snow, just the opening of the game, which I agree with.
People on Cocoon were conditioned to be afraid of anything Pulse, especially l'Cie. They just point out that they're l'Cie and the public will automatically be against them, they don't need to call them 'terrorists'. But I don't recall anyone calling NORA a terrorist group in the game; everyone on the purge train were demonized in the public because they were close to a pulse fal'Cie so pretty much everyone who isn't a government goon in the purge is a 'terrorist'.
probably when they were in palompolum.
When enemy soldiers are flying overhead in the opening section, you can hear them talk over the loud speakers on their vehicles.
but that isn't specifically Snow's gang, is it? Just everyone resisting the purge?
>So that's the tonal problem of the beginning, not snow's problem.
Snow, Vanille, and the rest of team Nora ARE the tonal problem
Doesnt that make you like snow more though? Idk maybe I'm responding to the wrong person, but learning lightnin was on the wrong side and snow was on the right side all along, her butthurt and spite for snow made me like him more as the beginning progressed. It's like you knew her premonition of him was wrong which helped flesh out his character from just "fun loving vigilante commander".
Snow's name was original Storm and they conceptualized him as being more of a gruff gang leader than an idealist
I'm a different guy. I like Snow. He's actually my favorite character from FF13. There's nothing wrong with keeping a positive attitude, and for the most part, Snow did absolutely nothing wrong. He is a bit full of himself and perhaps doesn't treat some things with the serious they deserve or whatever, but I still think he's the best of the lot of them.
Played a little bit of type-0. Currently playing through final fantasy VII. Should I go back and finish type-0 after? If not which final fantasy should I play next? It’d have to be on switch so whichever ones are available there
Yeah, that's what I mean. It's not snow that acts wierd, literally no one acts like they are social outcasts and government targets, except for maybe sazh. Snow doesnt stand out here, his whole gang, hope and his mom, lightning and her angst, vanille and her childishness, everyone acts off so I dont hold it against snow the way he acts. Maybe you could say lightning's pessimism at first is realistic despite her acting like a middle schooler trying too hard to be edgy, but then that's just one more character than sazh, everyone else is off from being seen as terrorists.
He kinda spills out what his deal is when Hope finally confronts him
Hope: Snow? What do you plan to do? I need to know.
Snow: I told you. Save Serah, protect Cocoon, and have myself a big, happy family. Still, it's a long road ahead. Or, maybe not so long. Whatever happens, things will work out. Even if you're l'Cie, you've got to keep fighting.
Hope: And what if that gets people around you involved? What happens when your actions end up ruining someone's life? What if someone dies? What then, Snow? How do you pay for what you've done?
Snow: I can't, all right? There is nothing that can make something like that right again. When someone dead, when someone's gone, words are useless
Hope: So that's it? People die and you just run away?
Snow: I know! It's all my fault! But I don't know how to fix it! Where do you start? What do you say? All I can do is go forward. Keep fighting and surviving, until I find the answers I need.
Hope: There are no answers! You're running from what you deserve!
Snow: Well, why don't you tell me what I deserve?
Hope: The same fate!
Dude I actually really wanna play type 0. Was excited for it when it came out in Japan but despite my researching the game we didn't get it here till much later and I didnt have a ps4. Just got one half a year ago so I may get that online if it's not too rare to be overpriced.
You stick with it, because spinning up new games when already half way through one is exactly how good games eventually get benched, uncompleted.
Make your PS4 space more comfy. Big screen is always better for big games, anyway.
Type-0 is a mess
Snow: (to Hope) I was asked to keep you safe. By Lightning. And by Nora. I'm sorry. What happened-- it was my fault. I put her in danger. I know that. Let me make it right.
Hope: You told me before that you couldn't.
Snow: And that words were useless, and a lot of other things I shouldn't have said.Look, I didn't know what to do, didn't know how to set things straight. So I didn't I thought if I couldn't make up for it, then all the apologies in the world wouldn't mean a thing. So I decided I had to find a way to pay for it first, before I'd even have the right to say sorry. But, it's like you said. I was using that as a excuse, so I could run from my own guilt. That hit home. Look, Hope. I know I did was my fault. I don't deny it, and I am sorry.
Whatever
Her assessment feels halfway correct. Before the game starts, Snow is a hobo fag that hangs around in bars (the girl, Lebreau, I think, works in one), kills weak monsters for the clout, and is fucking her sister. Lightning hates him, partially because she sees him as a hobo fag that's fucking her sister, and partially because he's "like her father". Her father is some retard that got himself killed when she was like 5 or something.
Snow does ultimately become likable, but at the beginning, he seems like a fag that cares more about playing a character than making good decisions. He's also way too cheery for being in a genocide
Alright, yeah I share the same opinions for the most part. He has his faults but hes definitely the best of the ff13 bunch. I guess I was just so caught up defending him I got kinda on a one track mindset there :p
I don't know how I would act if I was in the middle of a genocide
I hate this story bit though because it isn't established that Snow actually did anything wrong, because he objectively didn't. He's not responsible for Hope's mom's death, not even tangentially. If they wanted to push this storyline, they would have had to have had Snow actually somewhat forcefully convince Hope's mom/have her be reluctant. Trying to lead people out of a shitty situation and a volunteer dying during that is not his fault so the "reveal" there never made any sense to me. Because in a very real way, Snow isn't running from anything, he's just trying not to give into despair or get all moody and negative. There's nothing wrong with that.
Overall my favorites to play and replay are 7 and 12.
I really like the designs in 6, 8, 9 and 10 but I find them tedious to actually play. I haven't finished a Final Fantasy game since 12. 13 might be fun for me now because I'm tired of open world games.
I have mine on Xbox one. Runs well. Combat was pretty fun from what I remember. That’s just my opinion
not sure if false flag, or if gambit haters really are the kind of trash poster who would multi-quote like this.
everything makes sense now.
He did arm people during the purge and none of it went well. He probably feels a lot of guilt over it that he's been burying.
As opposed to...not offering them any weapons? And again, he didn't shove it in their hands. They took it.
Your mom plays herself
OP asked for your favorite Final Fantasy, not a side-game.
Dude how long are you going to drag this out? You don't need to have objectively 'not done anything wrong' to feel guilt over the results. Or are you a sociopath?
Because it sells good to weebs and kids and since these stupid chinks felt the flow of cash they will spit this garbage till it gives money to them. Not that any ff or kh was something more than primitive chink crunch..
Yes, because X and XIII both do linearity differently. X does linearity well, XIII doesn't.
fucking your mom
She looks just like my sister but with bigger boobs. Even bright the green eyes, and she's just as much of a cunt.
Yeah, I feel the same way. Hes taking more responsibility for hope's sake then he should. And that honestly makes me more upset at hope than if they didnt have snow apologize. It would have been better if hope accepted that his mom chose to fight, and she died for her choices. And instead of blaming snow for something he wasnt even supporting (he never even tells her something like "we need your help") he should have learned to respect his mom for fighting and dying for something, instead of seeing her as a victim and mourning her in that light. Then he could actually gain inspiration from his mom and choose to fight for the cause she gave her life for, to pick up where she left off. Instead hes even more of a bitch cause he needs snow apologizing for something that's not his fault to get over his own loss.
>If they wanted to push this storyline, they would have had to have had Snow actually somewhat forcefully convince Hope's mom/have her be reluctant.
Toriyama's wonderful writing. It's seems like this might have been the original intention with his character (as well as having Snow being somewhat at fault for Serah's fate), but they didn't know how to make Hope or Lightning realistically forgive Snow so they just removed his responsibility in those situations instead.
Knowing you'll always be welcomed, no matter how much has changed...That's what having a home is all about

Fuck off Vanille
Oh cool, I can't wait for Final Fantasy XVI's release in 2034.
It's my favourite one
t. Someone who beat all FF games on release
I love how Dysley literally has you go down to Pulse just so you can grind, all the save points and online shops, even selling secret PSICOM tech with his own commentary in the shop. He's been leading everyone around from the start.
Not him but I agree it makes sense if snow feels guilty, but I disagree that he is actually at fault. You can tell from the dialogue between snow and Hope's mom that he isnt asking for her help or pushing her to fight with them. You can infer this from her constantly trying to prove herself to him that "she can fight too". I cant remember if he actually says she doesnt need to fight or if that subtext is just implying hes said that before the game started, but he's clearly not asking for her help. That being said, yes he is human so it makes sense he'd feel guilt over her death as she still took up arms and fought and died alongside him.
Soul vs Soulless
Is it worth doing the postgame in 10? How autistic is the grind on Switch since there is no speed up option?
Orphan: You overreach yourselves.
Lightning: No. We overreach you.
Orphan: Is that so?
Lightning: You don't believe in anything. You gave up on life before you were even born. Sat poisoning Cocoon from the inside, waiting for someone to come and destroy you. Sure, you think the end of the world is salvation. All you care about is death's release. So take it, and leave the rest of us alone. We don't think like that. When we think there's no hope left, we keep looking until we find some. Maybe Cocoon is past saving, but it's our home. And we'll protect it or die trying! We live to make the impossible possible! That is our Focus!
Anyone else thought it was kinda weird how it was named Cocoon, within Cocoon? It sounds more like something people on Gran Pulse would call it as a pejorative. The whole place should have been named Eden or something like that.
Lol, I feel like you were trying to say something coherent here, you just have so much angst the only thing I could infer is that asians want money
Final Fantasy is the girly series
XII. Ivalice is so beautiful. Also it didn't have random encounters or battle screens. Fuck that shit
Is this a pro-choice argument?
based
Motomu Toriyama has been the single worst thing to happen to Final Fantasy, starting with X-2
It's easy to lose sight of things in a world as wide as this one. But if you keep going, you're sure to find what you're looking for--sooner or later.
Half the terms in ff13 were really badly thought out. That or the translation fucked up how some of the stuff was supposed to be referenced. There were so many different things at the beginning that ended in 'cie that it was hard to understand what the game was even telling me in the first couple hours. I feel like the premise for the lore was good but the guy writing it out and naming it didnt do a good job.
Final Fantasy XIII: Planned Parenthood terrorists abort depressed baby. Ensuing chaos kills millions and destroys the world.
Yeh
Got a problem with that?
desu this

Shut the FUCK up, Vanille. Don't you have Fang and Lightning to run a train on you?
No, Orphan is an obvious gnostic allusion. It has these two statues to his left and right, Barthandelus and Lindzei; mother and father. You destroy them both and you have Orphan, which was deliberately designed to look like the description of the Ophanim

When it comes to family or home, we never keep either as close as we should. Who ever stops to think that this time could be their last?
IV
I'm actually really glad 12 is coming up so much in this thread. I remember back in hs it was like the black sheep of the series, and I kept meeting people over the years who said they really didnt like it. Now that it's got a re release (and the zodiac age at that), and its finally getting some more attention, I'm surprised to see this many people saying it's their favorite. It really seems to be one of the more popular choices in this thread.
Did you say this when Fang and Lightning had two fists in your ass, Vanille?
Lol, gimme somadat sweet whale spaceship with a side of spoony bard and I'll call it a day
True ordering of the original non-mmo series and mystic quest:
9 > 4 > 6 > 7 > 10 > 5 > 1 > Mystic Quest > 2 > 3 > 15 > 13 > 8
>2 above anything
no
I just noticed that Lightning Returns doesn't have any interiors to any of the buildings except that dumb looking steel cathedral, that's what felt off about it to me
When I couldn't see a future and I was afraid. When the future was clear and it hurt to see, I just close my eyes and lose myself in happier days.
Toriyama made the wall market section of FF7
First time I think I've seen world of ff in one of these threads. An oddball choice for fav, but I haven't played so I'm curious, what do you love about it? Is it just cause its incredibly chibi or is there something other than the art style/aesthetic to loving this game?
9 and 4 are my personal favorites, have played all from 1 to 12.
The most degenerate part of the game, go figure
my man
I dont know how to help you. Maybe read up on different stories that follow the simple rules of narritive than rely on character interactions.
you might want to play other final fantasys before coming to that conclusion.
XIII is good.
Final Fantasy V feels more like a slow paced 80s or 90s anime than any of the other games, VII is a close second on that end.
>Vanille remembering the first time Hectaoncheir put all eight hundred of his arms up her cunt
Really? So aside from one building you dont go inside anything else in the city? Havent played it so I dont know any of the locations other than what was in the demo, but always being outside (or underground) would also feel off to me as well. Like I love just cause 2 but that's also an issue i have with that game as well, though at least you can go inside airport hangars but other than that the game is 99% outside and it always bugged me.
can I say that the Dissidia games aren't very good
The funniest part of the game too. Toriyama's craziness is good in small doses, it's just when you give him control over whole projects does shit go off the rails.
he didnt want to go through the same idea of exsposition and just wrote it like a fan fiction. He was way to focused on characters interacting rather than making up the world around him.
Yeah, Luxerion is all outside, and so is Yusnaan except for that palace the game starts in that you can never go back into except for the final mission and boss in that area
More like putting mystic quest above anything. The game actually had a few cool ideas that you might also see in ff adventure games, but ultimately it's a sham of a game and the worst case of the Japanese dumbing down a game for Americans.
9 and then 6.
6 being one of the best with its world building and multiple characters.
There are other locations in the the game that are "inside", but yeah, they shit out LR in about a year so I wouldn't expect much.
nt wasnt, but the other 2 were great
Hell yeah dude. They truly embody what I love most about the franchise, especially in setting and OSTs.
Was there any reason to get the original game after the prequel came out and contained the entire first game's story in it too?
He ended up putting his goddess in Cloud's clothes so it all went full circle. D'you think they'll give Cloud a Lightning costume for the remake like Toriyama did for pic related?
Damn, that kinda sucks. That would bug me too. Makes me think it may have been rushed.
It would make sense to have a pink wig or something. It was Toriyama's "section" of FF7, after all.
Yeah, bad world building gets me. I still enjoy some of the characters, as well as the music and style/graphics/design, so it's a mixed bag for me but overall 13 was enjoyable.
no there wasnt, but no one expected a sequel/ prequel to be made
I realized it while playing Deadly Premonition, which has really nice interiors but an ugly outside hub. I explored every room in the hotel and it was pretty comfy. XIII-2 had nicer areas to explore than LR IMO.
for me it wasnt. I hated the majority of the cast. The leader being a complete bitch really annoyed me. Hope being a weak will baby. I actually liked Snow because he was still trying to keep spirits up. Sahz I liked, Vanille was great for her dying noises, sounded sexy. But that's it pretty much hated the lack of RPG elements like towns, free roam. I wanted to explore cocoon. The world building though was the major reason I hated it.
XI
Yusnaan is the best looking part of the game. They clearly spent the most time on it. Luxerion looks like complete ass. It's like the devs knew Luxerion was supposed to be a depressing place anyway, so they didn't bother spending more than two minutes developing it to add to the player's misery.
Lol, for me that'd be oblivion. Idk why something about the aesthetic but that game had the comfiest interiors to me. Only game that'd actually make me wanna shack up in a medieval home cause they made them look and sound so cozy (just picture the door sounds and you'll know what I mean).
Which world map is bigger, Gran Pulse or Granys?
But lightning, hope, and snow all develop user. And fang perving out on the other girl characters made this game enjoyable or me.
Lol, we pretty much liked and hated the same characters. Hated lightning and hope, liked snow most of all cause at least he tried, sazh was pretty good, fang was middle of the road for me, and vanille was a mixed bag cause she was so fucking dumb but also so hot but I think my dick won over in the end and she ended up on the likeable characters side.
I think Luxerion was kinda meant to look like ass. A lot of the sections look like areas under construction in Silent Hill 2, really dirty, complete with the checker tile floors from the hospital. The cathedral is incomplete and made of steel with a rusty grate walkway going over a sewer, another aspect that reminded me of Silent Hill. Most people in the city just don't give a crap about anything anymore, waiting to finally die. Yusnaan on the other hand everyone is constantly partying til the end of days rolls in.
I think Lightning, Snow, and Vanille are supposed to be "deconstructions" of typical tropes. They all have their ways to a fault, and learn their lesson in the end.
I played it.
It had shittier gfx and artstyle compared to XI and dumbed down mechanics and a community full of casuals, normies and furry trannies.
When they finally gave up and switched it to just being a WoW copy-paste I left it for good.
Hope and Lightning were made for each other. Lightning even gets jealous over Hope's reaction to hearing Vanille in LR (in the Japanese version at least). Bhunivelze projects how horny Lightning makes Hope in the Japanese version too since he absorbed his personality.
Supposed after LR and everyone is 'reborn' every body is the same age so it's possible they hook up, unless Toriyama prefers to carry on his shota fetish for Light x Hope
I like XIII but I think it's a bit weird someone calling it their favorite FF unless they haven't played any of the others.
XIII is good and I'll stand by that opinion, but it's a simple game compared to the other FFs with a much smaller scale and very restrictive, making it inferior to any proper FF game.
>XIII is good and I'll stand by that opinion
By the time you press Attack in other final fantasies they are over
>But lightning, hope, and snow all develop user
here is the thing user. I didnt think they develop much at all. No one really calls lightning out for being a bitch and really it doesnt seem like she gets that harsh lesson she deserves.
Now hope, He was a HUUUUGE misoportunity. He could have had a really endearing and relatable moment. He keeps blaming snow and then for a moment he just keeps breaking down saying he wasnt strong enough to save his mom. Then snow would have told him it's still not his fault and he will carry the burden of failing him and his mother. That would have been so good. But no he just has a limped dick weak character development. Snow he was just fine.
>The different ways of capturing Mirages
>Letting your Mirage keep the form of any stage in its line so it can fit into any stack
>The funny entries when you get a new mirage
>The environments being linear but still having alternate paths to rewarded you for exploration
>Tama
Half of it is that it's just a really well designed and really fun (Which is what I value most in a video game) game. The other half of it is that at the time I played it, I was starved for a good Pokemon game.
>deconstruction
how so? if anything they all stuck to their tropes to the very end.
I hated it, but its fine. the issue just boiled down to lack of a real narritive and world building.
Lightning teases Hope about liking Vanille. It does seem like Hope likes Lightning when Bhuniretard absorbs him, but there's not much evidence to the opposite.
I refuse to believe this relationship. Lightning should have been in a threeway with Fang and Vanille.
That was how it was localized, in the Japanese version it was far more blatant
teases? I dont know what teasing sounds like coming from lightning. she always sounds bitter and angry.
Thank you for the 1 sec tumblr looped gif, retard
I have been catching up on Yoko Taro's games. Hope they ask him to make a final fantasy. He would make it link to the rest of his series.
Lightning eventually realizes she was wrong about everything and apologizes to Snow. She also cheers him up when he starts being a depressed bitch after the first Barthandelus fight.
I really wish I could remember this apology you speak of, because for the life of me I cant remember this.
They made some big changes to the story in the translation in fact. In the Japanese version Bhunivelze wasn't trying to turn people into soulless husks, he was wiping their memories of the dead so they can have blissful lives, but Lightning opposed that after that Cid dream where the chaos directly spoke to her. Souls and hearts were separate things in the original, in the localization they fused them into one thing which led to the story being a lot more confusing and kinda nonsense
You're welcome
VII
I bough XV but I am afraid to play it because I fear it will make me feel like I have bros I can count on again. Losing them is pretty painful and I rather not open an irl wound.
Lightning's more of a troll in LR. I remember there's a quest where she jokes about stealing some bitch's man and that chick threatens to kill her. Also trolls some dude on a "date" and abuses some moogles lmao
stuff like this makes me only attracted to brunettes
>in a three way with fang and vanille
>not in a three way with sarah and snow
I love the idea of lightning with her sister and/or her sisters husband. I also love how much it usually upsets lightning fans, which makes it better.
She talks in a gruff Solid Snake voice a lot too, it's especially noticeable while doing missions in the desert.
I'm sorry but Snow doesn't seem like that kinda guy
You'll never make it through the ending, user. Spare yourself.
to be honest the characters and their casual positivity really made this game ok to play. but there was just not enough for what they were trying to build here and management was poor.
This is why you play in Japanese lmao. To avoid a woman's best batman impression
holy shit! I dont remember this at all!? when was this?
youtube.com
5:29:33 for Lightning cheering up emo Snow
When Lightning, Snow, Fang, and Hope all meet up again in Palompolum
fucking listen to her:
youtu.be
VIII, but I like most of them.
Lower than some dude's voices lmaoooo
ok this is fucking wierd because I dont remember snow meeting up with fang at all and I sure as hell dont remember them going to Hope's house. I remember when fang first showed up was when they fight this one dude and fang shows up on bahamut. That's when she was introduced. I dont recall any of snow saving lightning or Hope.
The Dead Dunes was about the only area in the game I enjoyed other than that dungeon
Lol Snow was with Fang the entire first third of the game. What you're referring to is way later when the entire party is reunited and in the ark.
Lightning also cheers up (the best she can lmfao) a briefly emo Snow in the ark as well.
That's really jumping ahead. Your memory is full of holes.
Fuck the remiem temple race.
yeah it is, fuck. it is wierd because when hope and lightning were together I just remember them meeting up with everyone else.
I played this game when it first came out on ps3. There had to be something I missed. Because I dont recall Fang showing up much much later.
this was not in the game when I played it. There had to been patches to this game that were added.
lol nope. there were no story patches to the game
FFXIII has no patches. The game was shipped complete.
You might not like Snow in LR because he's way more emo there
Spoiler, i quess.
youtube.com
I you haven't, try playing XIII without skipping any of the cutscenes and read the datalog every time you're prompted.
When I first played it I did the opposite and dropped the game fast, calling it shit.
When I decided to give it a fair chance doing what I said, I was hooked after the cast gets marked (that's near the beginning), and enjoyed it a lot.
But if you skip cutscenes and datalog it falls apart and becomes hard to understand.
And for me it didn't get good 30 hours in when the game opened up, that's bullshit.
But you have to watch the cutscenes and read the datalog.
must have skipped it on accident or something. Because the scene where snow and fang meet up with soldiers backing her up was never in the version I played.
You don't remember Hope trying to kill Snow?
A lot of characters in the game are like that. It reminds of of Black Rock Shooter.
I didnt know you could skip scenes in the game at all. I knew about data logues but these scenes I dont remember you had an option to watch them or not.
I remember that part. But it wasnt very good.
youtube.com
what soda was Snow drinking
>But you have to watch the cutscenes and read the datalog.
I just didnt know there were extra scenes when it came with the catalogs.
Lol, thats weird for him to forget that part cause hope only talked about it for half the fucking game.
but I have to be honest you guys, I hate lightning a lot less now. No wonder I had issues with this game.
I never skipped a cutscene. I read the datalog from time to time but not all of them.
I didn't like it at all, and it's easily the worst Final Fantasy game ever released. This game taught me never to preorder, even if it's an entry in my favorite franchise. What could go wrong? Fucking everything.
I have a collectors edition of my least favorite FF game. Serves as a nice reminder how dumb I was.
Why the fuck was this in the recommended for this video?
Dude, it's fine if you just didnt remember the whole game. Idk maybe you accidentally hit start at some cutscenes but it's not like the game had to have story patched in post release just cause you didnt remember the whole plot. It even got convoluted at points so it's perfectly understandable.
Yeah you can skip cutscenes in XIII and reading the datalog is optional, but if you play it that way the game becomes a hallway simulator and you will hate it.
The cutscenes and datalog are very important in this game.
I must have skipped it on accident because those scenes with snow and fang I had no idea about. Like really it bugs me that I missed that part.
With lighting Apologising to snow? jesus how could I miss this part? I actually hate lightning a lot less, like I dont really hate her at all anymore.
>Barthandelus manipulates your party for the entire game to have you kill Orphan
>his plans are revealed before you fight Orphan
>you have to fight Orphan and kill him anyway, and you get no explanation why you need to do it and no say in it :DDDDDD
FF13 was the peak of shit games. No other game can come even close to its shittiness.
but its wierd tho, I dont ever remembering skipping a scene.
God, I knew the localization fucked with some of the story. I only ever played XIII but some of the shit was nonsensical to the point where I think the story direction was trying to get something across but the lore got a little botched coming over and it messed with the overall story. Like I understood it all by the end of the game but little changes along the way would have helped it make more sense and I always felt like sometimes it was the translators more than the original writers.
That's good. Her and Snow's bro/sis relationship is the only thing LR did right anyway lmao
vi and x
It's some bullshit deus ex machina with Etro. She unzombifies the party and then gives a vision where they can save the world with ragnarok. They then proceed to do that.
Chocobo chick gettin all the fuck out of the way of that mess
wait the localization of which game? 13 or its sequels? I swear to you anonsI cannot believe I missed really important parts like them going to Hope's house and resting up. I am kinda upset with myself.
FF9, FF12 and FF Crystal Chronicles are my favorites
They're talking about LR. Changes to the original were minimal.
>Changes to the original were minimal.
such as? I am freaking out over all this
Basically nothing. Final cutscene makes slightly more sense in Japanese (but still doesn't make that much sense)
Characters are slightly different (Snow is way more of a dudebro in Japanese, and Lightning seems more feminine).
I mean the game came out over a decade ago right? Dude I'm gonna be honest I didnt even remember this apology all that well. Not that I dont remember most the whole game, I remember liking lightning more towards the end of the game and her kinda getting some character progression. But at the beginning her angsty personality was just so fucking overkill it completely overshadows what character development she got. Like her development just wasnt enough for it to be more memorable than how bitchy and angsty she was for the first half of the game.
ok ok so aparently there are some kissable cutscene in this game. However I dont think it's the ones I missed. Maybe it was, but it was at the tower before Vanille's summon shows up.
V, anyone?
My favourite Final Fantasy is Yuna in those sexy little pants.
well right herethere are missable scenes. Like 3 of them. Which seem very crucial. But I do remember snow saving them just not Fang at all. it's been a while, think I will replay it again.
Kissable cutscene? lol
IX>V>VII>VI>X>XII>IV>VIII>I>II>X-2
I didn't like x-2.
II seemed interesting, but it was way too grindy, with smoother controls I could've handled the grind maybe.
I was fun enough, but simple.
Final Fantasy VII
very good game but I put that tied with 9. I love 9 it is my fave but 6 is the best to me. So many options. So many characters, so many different types of characters that branched out from your usual character tropes.
sorry auto correct
missable
>please help
Okay, which is your second favorite final fantasy, how can we convince you that it's better than xiii?
V was fantastic for the class system and for gilgamesh. Most the rest of what it does I feel other FF's do better, but its class system gives it amazing replayability.
Years after I played this game I could barely remember Lightning's coldness at the beginning because of all of Hope's screaming lol
This man gets it.
All the Bravest
what is it with Yea Forumscore hipsters and tactics
The Chocobo chick is literally Chocolina, isn't it? Why did Etro turn the chick into a girl lol? And Etro seems to have a lot of power for someone who supposedly wasn't given any power.
oh no... umm perchance are you a femanon? nothing wrong with it but signs point to this.

Lol, well I guess it was good for you that hope blocked out how annoying lightning was, but that whole section with just the two of them was just the worst for me cause I couldnt stand either
I'm MtFtM
Lightning becomes motherly pretty quick in that section. Hope's angst continues all the way to ch 11
Honestly its ffta that I always cant shut up about on here. Tactics fans often discredit TA and TA2 but I love every game that takes place in ivalice even Revenant Wing
Cute
Lightning was a mistake
Cool cool
>CoD gets a game released every year

ok, so transgender? In any case the reason I asked was because most males never like phone games as the main series. Females however dont seem to mind. In the end you need to try they other ones. If you need more cutscene like in 13 go play 12 or 10. Those two games are heavy in the cutscene department and have a lot of game play.
that means Male to female to Male right? Wouldnt that just be metrosexual?
XIII-2
You may insult me now
>In any case the reason I asked was because most males never like phone games as the main series. Females however dont seem to mind.
I think that is true, with the exception of chinsese because of they're heavy commutes and non chinese workaholics who don't have time for other games.
Those two groups probably don't post on Yea Forums much.
Multiplayer only fans will never understand a truly great single player experience
why do people talk about a wide range of the series in Yea Forums while the FF general in /vg/ they only talk about the goddamn mobile games
it's a very good game in it's own right. You have many options to go from, get a bitch load of story characters. Plus the major part of it is the micro management.
No a metrosexual is a guy who just takes care of himself. It's a heterosexual man who takes note of skin care, dress care and other stuff commonly associated with big cities.
I noticed in LA girls who play phone games are just doing to pass the time casually. I still dont feel that app games are legitimate games but more of an advertisement like those shitty slap the monkey game as an add.
My other favorite FF games are X-2, Dirge of Cerberus, Samus Returns, Tales of the Abyss, and the legend of Korra
One thing I guess I always missed, the XIII trilogy always did have top tier outfits and costume design. Something I never really played attention to until I played persona V and noticed that was one of the strongest parts of the games style.
/vg/ in general seems overly consumed with phone games. That why I left it half a year ago for the more speratic Yea Forums.
I have no idea. I rarely go there, and I think it's because Yea Forums loves to argue rather than talk about phone games.
Lol, okay we get it, you dont care
was anyone else reminded of Persona 3 when playing FFXV
That game was decent. Million miles better than XIII. Great music.
so 1 of those isnt a video game. So you have X-2. Not the best of the series when it comes to story but have you noticed in X-2 the battle system is really good? Dress system is similar to Final Fantasy V. Pick up V you might like it, it is super Nintendo tier but you will enjoy all the different classes you can have.
I have to agree. Battle system worked alot better.
no, they are too into the social media politics.
what's the difference? I mean that sounds like a Male to female to Male kind of thing?
Is that really in the vanilla game? Or just a shitty dlc or mod? Never played it so I got no clue.
why are asian trannies so clingy
It's DLC, but it's in the base PC version I think
how dare you accuse me of being clingy
I'd still not consider that vanilla if the pc port came later. But yeah, your right, that does look like shit
Are you the mtftm? I'm curious cause I've never talked to someone whose transitioned twice, how long were you transitioning the first time and then made the switch to transition back?
But that's the best outfit in the game, user. Especially when you wear it during the quest you chuck moogles around.
i'm not going to read this thread because it's about to archive but ff6 is undeniably the best FF to date.
from what I gather from the trans group is that there are multiple groups with in the larger group. Some trans love attention and will act up for it. While the ones I have met are totally chill and know everybody has their crosses to bare so they are very understanding.
>the ones I have met
I feel sorry for your life.
I think so too. I said it before and I will say it again 9 is my favorite but 6 is the best.
I liked this garb a lot, it looks good in Luxerion, better than the savior outfit, and goes well with her shades if you unlock them
why is that?
The Locke inspired outfit and the dress were the best imo. Pic should have been in the game
when I say that, it's not because I am pointing out this is all they are, I am pointing out that the people I met did not fulfill a negative stereotype.
IX, wish they made another game in that fairytale setting
try 12, I mean it's not like 9 but it has a lot of that fairytale style but in a starwars like narrative.
You're too dumb to understand.
Already played 12, also one of my favorites together with 5.
Friendly reminder that Lumina is the product of farroncest
Then teach me, I am not trying to insult you and I am sorry if I did already, but I think you have an opportunity to explain your position to someone willing to listen.
try 4? that one IS really hard.
Crystal Chronicles, Tactics, basically most game outside the mainline Final Fantasy titles. Exceptions being titles like Crystal Bearers and Explorers which are just all around bores.
Not him, but dude a "metrosexual" is a combo of "metropolitan and heterosexual". It's just a dude that tries to look fashionable.
A MtF transgender is a man that wants to become a woman.
kek
well that's understandable but he added MtFtM. That's what's confusing me.
Doesn't matter if there are a few shitty outfits, the good outweigh them by a ton and there are also just so many outfits to choose from. You can spend a lot of time playing dress up in this game.
A man that wanted to become a woman and then decided they wanted to be a man again.
Also, I think the user that posted that was just trolling lmao
that's a bummer, I mean with all the shit going on with gender politics it's not far fetched to believe there is a group that identifies MtFtM.
whyyy does this remind me of my dead aunt. This is ruining lightning for me
I explained to you a simple word, metrosexual, and your conclusion was that it was some kind of sex change thing.
You're either trolling or you are on retarded levels of intelligence making it pointless to explain something to you.
Best outfit
