Just got to pic related and I'm having a blast getting rekt and and learning his moves. This might be the most memorable fight since Artorias. Why do so many people shit on the Guardian Ape?

Cause ape shits and farts on them.

HAHAHAH THE MONKEY FARTS AND POOPS EPIC JAPANESE HUMOR GUYS

this

>le flips XD XD
FUCKING WEEB NARUTO LOVERS SHOULD NOT EXIST

>fighting with an op build causes more damage
WHOA

Whats with this game and the body?
>parasitic worms
>infestation
>dragonrot
>stagnated blood
>prolonged toxin exposure
>bladder stones
>primate poo
>carps teeth
>snake viscera

He is sadly a pretty easy boss, you faggots made it sound like an impossible fight
but yes, he's fun and memorable

I can't believe there are people who shit on DS3 for getting rid of poise when cheese like this is possible

Japan is weird man.

so was germany pre modem age
>latex suits
>shit
>cable repairmen.

body horror is based

hes like a bloodborne boss

Only high-function retards think poise wasn't the absolute most broken shit imaginable.

got my ass kicked by rape ape like 7 times before I got my shit together

second phase is surprisingly easy compared to the first

>People have issues with Guardian Ape
How? I bet him like second or third try. Even beat lol2ape first try.

>>cable repairmen.
Do I even want to know?

They didn't play Bloodborne and know the joys of freaky-ass uncanny beasts.

He was easier in NG+

Now Owl ng+ charmless, that was tough for me. And I tried Hirata 2.0 for the first time. Juzou and lone shadow are kicking my ass

Because they're used to bosses where you stand your ground. Ape and Demon of hatred play like Souls bosses, so it's a different vibe. I shat all over them, but SS Isshin is like a nightmare to me.

I've gotten to his second phase twice now, so I think I have the first phase down. I'm assuming I need to deflect more since he has that sword. I haven't tried using firecrackers second phase yet but I don't use them much anyway. Fun fight so far.

Second phase is tricky if you don't know how to get him to spam the falling slam. The motion of the ape is creepy and unpredictable if you don't know what to expect as well.

Lock on, run away, and wait for them to do an attack with a large opening, then repeat. It's a boring way to do the boss but it's the safest.

Don't bother with firecrackers. He's immune to them in second phase. Confetti increases your damage but if you deflect his combos and run when he REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEs at you then he doesn't stand a chance.

also using the loaded spear to pull out the centipede to deal massive posture damage, though most people won't know you can do that unless they read it online

He filtered me I gave up on the 27th of March haha.

You could just tone down the poise instead of removing it completely, you know.

How is this game so based? Also post more Sekiro related images.

I'm at the point where I can get to the third phase in like a minute, but third phase added so many hyper armor twirly combos that it's like nothing else in the game. I eventually beat his face off with parasol

I couldn't ever get that to work. Oh well, still beat him eventually tho

That only seems to work if you deflect his big vertical slice and it staggers him

You can do it, man. Just keep your distance and get close for a few hits then back off and repeat.

yeah, you gotta get the ape to do its strong vertical slash. Deflect it and the ape will fall to the ground for a couple of seconds, there you can use the loaded spear trick

Poise in any form is degenerate for a few reasons:
There's no downside to it.
It shits on tons of enemies, bosses, and weapons.
Toning it down wouldn't even be a fix, because that's what Dark Souls 2 did, and basically made it useless.
You'd need to add shit like perilous attacks to counter it and a real downside besides weight.

>groyper

Um sweetie isn't that the far right meme that rock throw promotes?

Anyone got a good pic of the ape's face?

because they get stomped.

>what is parry
>what is block
Why are pvpfags so fucking cancerous? Instead of adapting thry bitch so loud a mechanic had to be removed entirely.

I wish them all a painful death

?
Parry and block aren't counters to poise. They don't make poise any less broken. In fact, parrying particular is much stronger when stacking poise.
It breaks PvE user and dealing with it wasn't hard, it just rewards retarded Unga bunga play.

You just have to parry his downward slash, which is at the end of his combo. This opens him up for a big punish.

>I'm having a blast getting rekt and and learning his moves.

is this how buyer's remorse sounds? anyone who gets happy to lose in vidya seems like an actual troglodyte to me.

i'd make you people pick my laundry up or some shit.

sure, kid.

good post. enjoy spending your time losing, i guess. what a life.

>t. rekt by chain ogre

He's not saying that the game is bad just that the way OP worded it sounds like he wants to really enjoy it because he hopped on the hype wagon or some shit and pretends to like it

thanks, but don't worry about it

OP here. I just meant I'm having a really fun time with this fight.

He's fun at first because he's not just another knight. He's a pain in the ass in later NGs when you're just trying to get to the Owl Decision.

>he didn't have a bazillion copies of his save folder due to the corruption issue

When he turns his head to face you at the start of the fight is pretty great.
