It's probably stuck in legal hell but it's not like it has an expiration date, maybe it truly will come out later, but done properly without outside involvement. I'm glad it didn't come out because 2013-2015 games aged like milk, but now we are in an age where nothing ages, and you can get by making niche stuff for a niche market. Alien Isolation carbon copied it but you remember how that turned out, hard heavy publisher meddling with pacing and just a big triple A reptiliian stink all over with those expensive Alien movie franchise rights. Everyone already forgot about Isolation, and people still want to play Routine so that is interesting
