>All tracks from original CTR + all tracks from CNK adding up to 31 tracks (possibly with more new tracks) >All characters from CTR (including Oxide) and possibly CNK (Crunch already confirmed) >Character and vehicle cosmetic customisation >Buffed beginner characters >Controls very close to the original >Cheesy mega cuts from the original removed >Reserves/Sacred Fire preserved
God this is such a based remake, I hope this and STR sell well to showcase kart racers still have a future. Would want Mario Kart to get some DLC but lets be real Tour is all we are getting this year
What's wrong with the second point? Is it because they're not identical or because they're not different enough? Not disagreeing, just trying to understand what that means because it could mean either.
Michael Reyes
Beginner characters sucked in the original. They just have 1 extra speed point now (3/7 instead of 2/7 speed) - 7 handling still sucks and makes snaking too difficult but at least they'll feel faster.
Gabriel Baker
It seems like a good few years to be a kid into vide games. There's lots of good stuff coming out. Kinda jealous.
Evan Gray
I would do it but I never had the chance of playing Nitro Kart in my life.
Thomas Smith
get rid of the realistic fur and this is already miles above the shitty spyro remake
Lincoln Gutierrez
Don't worry, the Switch version is your best bet.
Joseph Collins
Ugly cluttered garbage. Why doescevery remake have shitty soulless art direction?
>doesn't seem like it ah so you've actually not even seen gameplay of the game then
He's also a huge e-begging cunt. It actually baffles me that there are so many retards willing to watch him and give him money. I don't get it? Maybe I should try this as well?
Christopher Fisher
Don’t forget that Spryo will how up, plus Mario (and/or maybe Donkey Kong) will be exclusives to the Switch version.
Luke Carter
They're the same fucking colors and the only difference is contrast. Fuck off.
I have the solution for you, just forget about this remake and stick with the original CTR. Play that all you want, meanwhile we will enjoy the remake over here. That way, everyone's happy.
Isaiah Kelly
>the cnk tracks are so bad its a downside The problem with CNK was never the tracks, it was the borked physics and roster
>Then what's the point in playing the remake when you can play the original? No reason at all. Remakes are just nostalgia cashgrabs.
Austin Anderson
Well play the original then and stop crying in NF threads. christ lol
Michael Thomas
Good for you
David Adams
>he mad LoL
Jackson Sanchez
Hey, to the people who did play CNK: What are the best tracks to get the 50 boosts in a row?
Leo Foster
didn't the game go slow as molasses?
Jacob Young
The way I see things is that you don't like the new game, we don't want you here, the developers don't want you here, then the obvious solution is for you to stick with what you like while we do likewise.
Because they are not identical has me somewhat worried. The original had this combination of controls+physics that made it superior to Mario Kart Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on the game and will hold off my judgement till I've played the game. I guess it's only natural to feel cautious when a beloved game gets a remake. I just watched the entire video and the guy sounds like they really care. So that's a slight relief right there. I wish them all the best and hopefully they can pull it off.
I know what you are trying to get at and it irks me too. Be it the Crash or Spyro games. It's not the art direction itself though, but rather the color palette and lighting that is off, ending up looking like a bright Pixar/Disney movie. The originals have these stark, darker rooted color tones (which makes them look more atmospheric and moody imo) because of the limited color output of the PS1. IIRC textures on the PS1 could be in three formats: 4-bit or 8-bit using CLUTs (I believe these were used a lot), or simply 15-bit i.e. 32,768 colors
probably that. Oh and the jumps don't look right, but I'm not too sure about that one
Jackson Davis
When I said "here", I didn't mean it as in this thread or this board, I meant as in the CTR community, the people that will actually purchase and play the game. Got it, brainlet?
Evan White
I never played it, is this game a mario kart copy? what is the main diferences?
Connor Jones
>limited color output of the PS1 The Crash games used a mixture of textures and vertex shading in order to achieve whichever colors they wanted. All 16,777,215 colors are available. There was no limitation when it came to colors in the original games.
Sorry but your opinion is wrong, gross fucker.
Nolan Flores
well of course no die hard brand cock suckers want anyone criticizing their ip but its what your gonna get
Michael Wilson
Shame that 90% of the tracks are boring and barely stand out.
Nathaniel Watson
The main difference is that it's not shit like Mario Kart.
Hudson Jones
>what is the main diferences? Just about everything.
>tfw online will be dominated by hardcore players who'll be boosting all race
Brandon Reyes
maybe 1 2-3 most wouldn't call "great"
Wyatt Johnson
Well we're TRYING to get noobs to inhabit the game here...
Thomas Stewart
You are a fucking child.
Lincoln Lewis
>Mario getting lapped several times by retarded animals and evil scientists Yes please
Jeremiah Hall
It's baffling retards like you still show up even after the lastest gameplay videos.
Joshua Rodriguez
Drifting requires actual thought and timing to get maximum boost out of it. Items aren't pure bs where being in 1st place is nothing but a punishment. Tracks (albeit not amazing since they were from a ps1 game) have more effort into them than the godawful MK tracks where it just feels lile flat ground and a few turns all the time. Faster game as well. plus a big plus is that it doesn't have mario characters. They're cringy as shit
Blake Butler
Excuses of scrubs not making an effort to learn to boost. Just git gud, that's all.
Matthew Adams
>Old bad >New good
Angel Lopez
>is this game a mario kart copy? what is the main diferences? This game is (or at least the original was) vastly, VASTLY superior to Mario Kart. In fact it was so superior that Nintendo adapted its features in later MK games. Mastering the drifting mechanic was like its own meta game in itself and once you did you could just BTFO everyone and feel like superman.
t. someone who grew up with a SNES and N64 and only later found his way to the playstation library.
I'm a boomer and skipped the PS1 and used to play Mario Kart in N64, it's been so long.
Looking these photos it looks very similar to MK, like the random boxes with items to shoot the opponents etc.
Brayden Sanders
>No u Kek, did I touch a nerve over there, kid? Mommy and daddy gotta take away your videogames for a while for you to learn manners, quit whining and develop a good taste.
You can block all incoming weapons with items and player skill is 100% a factor in who wins.
The boost system is far more deep than any MK ever released. Boosts can't be launched 3 times during a slide if you time them all, and if your timing is ESPECIALLY good those boosts won't even decay in straights so you don't have to drift constantly. There's jump dodging, froggying to maintain speed, all kinds of other deep mechanical shit that is not present in other racing games.
Best part? All in the remake. Twice the amount of tracks and characters.
>All 16,777,215 colors are available I read ages ago that the PS1 basically could only output that amount in fmv but not in realtime rendering.
Ayden Foster
The old one had complex boosting mechanics, and an skilled player was fucking immune to RNG and I'm really looking forward for the crazy high skill online racers.
Charles Barnes
If you got nothing on you, a missile is on you and the track doesn't allow evasion. GG. and these moments are quite often. How much does a missile slow you compared to a nitro and red bottle?
Michael Edwards
The PS1 can display as many colors as it has memory in the framebuffer. Basically, every color ever can be used.
Checked. So it's a more technical MK, it sounds promising.
Elijah Cooper
These moments happen because the player with the missile planned them to. Save your items whenever possible. I don't think placing hazards will be as popular as using them to block when online drops.
Those demos might simply be locked to some 4k pretty graphics mode. I need better proofs
Robert Gonzalez
This. >Visuals look more stale and generic >Mostly bland and shit NPC models >Elora's bad redesign >Remix soundtrack doesn't have the same punch as the original. >Speedway levels are slower and have inverted controls. >Glitches out of the fucking ass. >Bentley's awful camera. >Sheila's redesign. >The bosses have this annoying camera, where it only focuses on the bosses. >The use of colors look weird and the some of the darker levels are too dark.
The only big improvement that the remake did was changing Agent 9's gameplay similar to Ratchet and Clank.
all of the spyro youtubers sucking that game off made me hate the remake even more
Brandon Butler
I'm bashful.
Liam Russell
Except as a remake it was extremely close to the original. You are only looking at the original through rose tinted glasses
Matthew Hernandez
mario kart btfo
Joshua Martinez
>The bosses have this annoying camera, where it only focuses on the bosses.
Shitty A.I. and effects too at times. Actually convinced me and my brother not to buy the game. Spyro has absolute kino boss fights and shit like that tainting the experience is inoperable, even if the double Ripto boss glitch was cool.
Stop grouping CTR with some garbage game that nobody has asked for, Iizuka.
Dylan Martin
Well shit.
Tyler Scott
No Rilla Roo, no buy.
Gabriel Sanders
Check mate, Mario. I may enjoy MK on the day but it’ll never match up to those days on the ps and now with CNK
Josiah Garcia
Why play CNK over CTR?
Lincoln Russell
>Crunch confirmed When?
Cooper Thompson
In an interview with some cunt who I'll avoid mentioning. Also, interview with the same dev where he said all CNK characters were in.
Adam Campbell
>controls felt like shit >characters looked like shit >hunters va >censorship EVERYWHERE haha, yeah. great remakes.
Julian Morgan
BASED BASHBRO
Christian Parker
ctr was a shameless mario kart clone that turned out to be the best kart racer ever, better than any mk
Christian Young
They'll do what Vicarious Visions did for the GBA port: delegate the clock to the background and otherwise keep the layout the same. Beenox is already taking notes from the GBA port. In Electron Avenue, the second set of 2 parallel boost pads with the ! crate were originally a singular turbo pad that changed position, but in the GBA port it was just 2 bands of turbo pads (see picture) Expect to see them take lots of inspiration from the GBA port for when they are flattening out the anti-grav stages, notably Hyper Spaceway and Thunderstruck.
But the ! crate is still ther and functioning correctly
Josiah Parker
The second ! crate never existed in the console version of CNK. When adapting the stage, Beenox added a second one and used the parallel turbos from the GBA version to replace the timer-cycling turbo pads. My wording was a bit of a mess on that.
It was actually a shameless Diddy Kong Racing clone that is very good, but not quite as good as DKR.
Luke Peterson
>not quite as good as DKR good joke haha
Anthony Johnson
will it run on a 970?
Kevin Hill
Track design, gameplay, music, hubs, challenges, variety, and bosses aren't as good in CTR. It's a very good rip-off and a good game but it's just not quite DKR levels of good.
Christian Edwards
I genuinely hope the game turns out to be good because having 3 great kart racers on the shitch would be awesome
Colton Williams
Only thing I hate about Ripper Roo’s new design is that they got rid of the crazy spiral eyes and now he doesn’t look quite as crazy
Charles Rodriguez
The best part of CTR was, besides the cool weapons, the "physics" (the driving mechanics, the sense of weight, the drifting). If they don't get them right, then it's all worthless.
so it's 2 months until console release. it took a year for crash trilogy to come to pc. see you guys in like 9 months, i'm not getting hype this early
Isaiah Evans
That genuinely creeped me the fuck out as a kid...
Samuel Rodriguez
Isn't it releasing on all platforms at the same time?
Andrew Martinez
PC port hasn't even been confirmed (yet), only console versions at launch
Benjamin Scott
I swear I read it somewhere it was coming out on PC. That's fucking weird too, why keep people waiting? After the N-sane Trilogy, people are pretty much sure the game will come out for PC.
We've either been so invaded by reddit that we can't say a game looks like shit compared to the original, or paid marketers are finally using our own tactics against us by hiveminding that this game actually looks good compared to Naughty Dog's original. It happens more and more. At least this game isn't as bad as the Spyro remakes since with a kart racer everything goes flies by quickly.
Carter Gutierrez
No fag, characters don't 'hide' their tails.
It was never fucking there and for Tawna and the Trophy Girls it clearly comes through the pants.
If it were there you would see it.
Jeremiah Jackson
I love when turboaustists try to speak for everyone
Brody Ramirez
>froggying Wait a fucking minute, is this hopping while boosting?
Benjamin Martin
she tucks and so does crash
Jeremiah Cruz
It's when you hop to maintain any speed increases a bit longer (usually when reserves are low as shit)
Mason Rivera
>female ripper roo
boner no
Cameron Bennett
I'd put hot air skyway a little higher but n.gin labs and sewer speedway truly are the best
What’s everyone’s thoughts on Crash Tag Team Racing?
Benjamin Howard
>forced positivity Are you a redditor or are you being willfully dense?
Isaiah Green
after people other than "influencers" and "journalists" got their hands on the game, the tune has almost unanimously positive aside from airing legitimate gripes coming from those exact same anons. No one is dicksucking other than fulltime cock monglers. If anything, cynics assessing the game and having both praise and criticism for it is a pretty fucking great sign. Myself included because I'm a pedantic picky fuck. People are getting excited about them not fucking the gameplay up, and really that's the only thing that's worth genuinely caring about. Basically everything else would be inconsequential love it or hate it scenarios but as long as the core gameplay is there, it's a done deal for a lot of people.
Kevin Hughes
Any chance that we could get the GBA music from CNK in the remake? I know that the tracks in the US were extremely short but I have heard the tracks that were in later ports like the Japanese one and the N Gage port as well.
Thomas Cook
do you just spam the hop or is there a rhythm to it
Gabriel Williams
Downfall of the series Possum chick was fun though
Jayden Sullivan
Fuck off /hmofa/ cuck.
Wyatt Jones
Cause it was made with intense love from intense fanboys instead of being made in attempt to cash in on nostalgia.
>awful kart racing mechanics >awful weapon balance >awful gimmick balance >boring tracks that are glorified circuits with some setpieces in them >mediocre platforming but at least it controls well enough >minigames are forgettable >lolwacky humor completely upended over a decade of characterization. crash is now a gibbering retard, ngin wants to be pretty, cortex is a buffoon with a big head, crunch is mr t, nina is mandy-lite, coco is a girly girl, etc. >multiplayer content gated behind single player adventure unlocks the game's a dumpster fire but it's worth a cheap laugh. the game has no staying power and quickly grates on you if you're past the age of toilet humor
Noah Green
Who else gonna end up double dipping here? I ultimately want it on PC, but if so many of us do that it will receive no support and fail, I can't be part of that. Gonna get the Switch one even though it'll probably look like ass.
weapon pickups when mounted as gunner have insane area of effect where you can toss explosions as wide as the track, making it extremely hard to catch up to #1 you could abuse this by attaching yourself to any AI driver at the start of the match, then just leisurely toss fucking nukes at the other racers due to how the unlink system works, you're always put slightly ahead of the driver when you unlink - so the AI could drive you for 99% of the tracks laps and then you'd unlink just before the finish line and win
too few tracks and too much platforming as well in a fucking kart racer game
I liked the comedy skits though
Jace Kelly
Fun at first, kind of satisfying blowing the shit out of other racers as N. Gin, but honestly the races had zero variation hence the gameplay wore extremely thin. Also Radical massively flanderized the characters beyond even Twinsanity levels and the series went to shit after that
Cameron Parker
Cheese cuts needed to go since the game will have online. You should've seen that one coming.
Charles Evans
>mfw missed out on the demo because gamestop over here didn't host it due to wasting all their floor space on funkos and t-shirts
don't despair, best buy is running the same demo with the same timeslot and probably the exact same sony rep setting it up. Check their website to see if any stores near you are participating.
Jayden Rivera
user, it is LITERALLY impossible to be identical to the original. In every way.
You would need the original source code and even then, the new engine cannot replicate a 20 year old game's physics perfectly
Nicholas Powell
>GUYS GUYS LOOK I HATE THINGS! Yea Forums!
Levi Miller
>All the same exact cities as the gamestop one Man why the fuck didn't they just put out a PSN demo or some shit this is gay.
Luke Jones
Because then people would datamine the fuck out of it. But as an european i really wish they put it on psn too.
Josiah Young
I HAVE A COMPLAINT ABOUT PAPU'S PYRAMID
The original is in an afternoon setting, remake is in the morning. If you're reading this, it's a simple change. Or just have time of day for all the tracks, that'd be cool as shit.
No shit, he's part dingo, part crocodile and all bogan. The only thing good about him is he's a fire themed boss so he gets good music and puns.
Grayson Flores
business wise, they can get people to potentially double dip and buy the game twice, otherwise they have the excuse of 'we're prioritising console versions, pc version later'
Levi Torres
Don't worry user the sony rep I had a chat with said that there would be semi-permanent in-store demos closer to release and it'd probably be the same build as this demo unless legal got back to them and allowed a later version. he also savvy enough to know that a digital demo would get datamined to fuck and back. I've already forgotten his name and his face is that of a typical Seattle hipster complete with facial hair and thick-rimmed glasses but he was pretty chill.
Holy Cringe, specially shit from n-tranced and Titans or the other Nitro Kart bosses literal whos. Crunch is fucking irrelevant, we already had Tiny and Fake Crash.
Don't play the characters then fagtron extra content is extra content
Jackson Martinez
As said before, just stick with the original CTR, no pesky post-PS1 stuff there. Leave the remake to those that appreciate it and just forget about it, play your old-ass game instead.
Easton Johnson
old good new bad
Jayden Ramirez
N. Trance was a mistake. Someone at Vicarious Visions actually made this character and was proud of the design.
He doesn't even fit with the rest of the cast. He looks like he belongs in Sonic and even there his designed would be considered shit.
>He doesn't even fit with the rest of the cast And Oxide is any less offensive? Trance is an interdimensional being, he's supposed to be a weird motherfucker.
At least he has a gimmick that's viable for a mainline game. Oxide was created to kill the franchise.
Should I preorder for switch? I'm fine with paying for switch online cause I'd play smash as well but I can't justify paying for ps+ to just play this.
Sebastian Johnson
>hot air skyway that low
Angel Young
Switch version will have shit graphics compared to the others.
not comparing to smash ultimate with 1200 tracks (megalovania included)
Ayden Murphy
Source or fake and gay, fagola.
Adam Miller
Be honest, is the 30 fps even that big of a deal? At this rate it just seems like an endlessly parroted shitpost that has kinda lost most of its meaning because of that. I know 60 is better, you wouldn't have to tell me twice. But does it really ruin a game that already ran at 30 if not worse originally? If I can play the original just fine, it won't feel any different here.
Probably, but it won't have better graphics on the PC, just higher res and 60 fps support (same as N. Sane Trilogy).
Benjamin Lee
I'LL SEND MY CONDOLENCES TO YOUR KANGAROO WIFE.
Kayden Reyes
Tiny Arena and Slide Coliseum are a blast. They push the mechanics to the limit.
Jonathan Hughes
N.Tropy >Time traveled so much that he's turned blue. still human but looking sickly >clock and tuning fork motif in his outfit design >incredible plot relevance to both the setup of warped and its conclusion >time focus also brought along with it the concept of time trials and time relics used throughout the series N.Trance >Egg in a mech suit >even the limbs are mechanical >clock and swirl motif that get used 1 time each to accentuate his mind control shtick >his mind control works so poorly that he needs to slap helmets onto other people to make sure they can't snap out of it from a bonk on the head >big eye because ??? >why an egg? he could've been a social reject like cortex, brio, gin, and tropy but no he's just a fucking egg. even oxide was originally going to be a scientist gone rogue until naughtydog tried to deliberately jump the shark by making him an alien.
Charles Phillips
I'm obsessed with this game, lads. PS4 or Switch Version? Or both?
Alexander Campbell
Thanks mate
Daniel Bell
Obviously because one is from Naughty Dog's time, and the other is from the post-ND era. Brainlet fanboys, I swear.
>Not knowing that N. Trance, as well as all characters created up to Twinsanity, have the same designers as the ND games. Joe Pearson and Charles Zembillas were the ones that came up with the overwhelming majority of Crash Bandicoot concepts and designs. They were still around after ND quit, and kept making new stuff for Crash. But, no, the newer stuff doesn't have a stupid meaningless developer sticker, so it's automatically shit tier!!! Who cares that the guys that actually created everything were still around!!!
Chase Hall
I actually agree with you somewhat. Some of the updated tracks look really good like Electron Avenue and Jungle Boogie, but ones like Polar Pass don’t look that great. To me it’s having to look at the same rocks and trees being copy and pasted into every level. Idk it looks kind of bland. I felt the same about Reignited too. Beenox has knocked it out of the park everywhere else though so I really can’t fault them.
William Roberts
more vertices sure coming from the polygonal PS1 era Tropy is remarkably striking and well-animated, the product of the developers being well acquainted with the native hardware system
Trance on the other hand was created by a third party title for a GBA game with not only limited visual but animated appeal. His model was prerendered and scaled for spritework.
Except Von Clutch, Victor and Moritz, Empreror Velo, etc. all have good designs. N. Trance is just... off.
>But, no, the newer stuff doesn't have a stupid meaningless developer sticker, so it's automatically shit tier!!! Who cares that the guys that actually created everything were still around!!! Pipe down faggot
Chase Wright
this does NOT look like it was made by Pearson or Zembillas, I can accept Zembillas designing Velo and the rest of the other characters in NK but it's hard to believe he also designed N. Trance.
How the fuck is coco so cute no matter what she is doing
Look at that fuckin face and pose. LOOK AT HER
Justin Campbell
It's just insane that a remake of a 20 year old game will run at the same framerate as the original
Matthew Davis
these are pretty good
Ethan Sullivan
He looks decent here wtf
Hudson Jones
Furry
Adrian Lee
Zembillas did the art direction for CNK
also >Trance steers with his gorilla roboarms nice parallel to Roo's feets
Hunter Jenkins
If wanting to fuck a clearly humanoid non-human in addition to actual humans makes me a furry. Then fine, lmao. I won't say no to something with tits, vagina, and an attractive appearance.
But coco is underage, so no
Jordan Ward
>Trance steers with his gorilla roboarms he literally just leans left and right with his mech hands clinging to the underside of his kart
>Trance steers with his gorilla roboarms I always imagined that Team Trance drove their karts purely via mind control considering the lack of steering wheel and the antenna on the front matching with the helmets.
I'm buying it on the Switch despite owning a PS4 since both versions are 30FPS anyways 60FPS will be exclusive to the inevitable PC version just like the N-Sane Trilogy so its better to wait and double dip on that instead
I’m calling it now, they will be wearing full body race suits like the princesses in Mario Kart. Their tits won’t be giant anymore and the jiggle physics will be gone. I’m sure there’s some true believers at Beenox that want them to stay true to the original, but we all know that’s not possible in 2019.
I'm gonna be genuinely salty if the only extra characters we get are CNK/post-ND ones, the classics need some love
Camden Price
No one knows yet and we'll probably never get confirmation until the game comes out. Keeping the mystery is free advertising.
David Diaz
wouldn't be surprised in the least, i can't imagine they'd dare make their outfits like the originals, especially since the one at the front has a miniskirt so short you can see her panties
They're shitposters, plain and simple, all they want is attention.
Nathaniel Edwards
>especially since the one at the front has a miniskirt so short you can see her panties user, those are called bloomers. cheerleaders wear them too so people don't get an eyefull of underwear when they do acrobatics
Asher Foster
Just how did the mad lads at Naughty Dog get away with it?
N. Sane Tawna wasn't so bad even though they nerfed her tits.
Jace Peterson
Shit i didnt notice the hands and i saw the trailer like a hundred times
Kayden Reyes
You don't really get to make fun of people for being triggered if you sperg out every single time someone says something negative about the visuals in a childrens game.
Juan Sanders
Yaya Panda from the GBA verison of Nitro Kart Bianca from Spyro Year of the Dragon
James Sanchez
Yaya Panda, she's a Crash Nitro Kart mobile series character
Adrian Myers
Yaya wasn't in the GBA version of CNK, she was in some mobile Nitro Kart "remake" The official Crash mobile games are a disaster in their own right.
Adrian Smith
When it's "It doesn't look like the originals because there's too many polygons and why aren't the textures 1:1 the originals and the colors waah waah!" then I can mock them as much as I want.
Blake Bell
>soulless kys
Jaxon Flores
You’re right, and I think that could be a good direction to take with the trophy girls. I wonder why Beenox is being so secretive about it? I’m thinking they’ll be playable.
Time for a game of 'Let's fuck up CTR Nitro Fueled' roulette
>new cutscenes are shit, they're injected with dialogue that wasn't there and all of it is badly written >the cutscenes that DO contain parts from the original are poorly recreated animation-wise >online is broken day one, doesn't get fixed >glitches that are outright gamebreaking aren't patched >host migration during races (actually if this doesn't crash the match it could be relaxing) >Trophy Girl designs are 'diversified' or censored in some way >Brio and Tawna are not playable but just about every shit character from Twinsanity onward is
Post your character unlock headcanons >Oxide for clearing any% adventure mode of by paying activision your shekels. Already confirmed >4 boss characters and fake crash keep their current unlock condition >N.Tropy for clearing the par time on CTR time trials >N.Trance for clearing the par time on CNK time trials >Each trophy girl unlocked for 100% adventure mode for a character they present to. >Emperor Velo for any% clear CNK adventure mode >Real Velo for 100% clear CNK adventure mode >Crunch for red CNK cup >Zam for purple CNK cup >Zem for green CNK cup >Penta Penguin for unlocking both the Oxide and Velo ghosts in time trial. Beating the ghosts give you cosmetic bragging rights to use online along with a beenox development scrapbook
Your list is pretty much perfect already. I'm trying to think what else could be left for a possible Tawna, Brio, and Spyro unlock.
Hmmm. That's a tough one. Maybe Crunch in a chippendale bowtie? Or just another trophy girl? Maybe a unique podium animation where she presents a trophy to herself.
Bentley Wright
The hell is this cursed content I'm looking at and who's the creator
Daniel Cook
I want free-mode Relic Races to be a thing similar to Time Trials. Don't know where else I'd put my incumbent hopefuls like Moe, Tawna, Brio, Kong and the like
>Items with 8 players is incredibly unbalanced, and flat out ruins the game after getting hit with four Tropy clocks and a Warp Orb in lap 3. Honestly my biggest fear right now desu
Samuel Moore
I always thought Penta Penguin's new unlock would be from getting Platinum in all Adventure mode Time Trials, but your method is also appropriate.
>Tawna Bandicoot is unlocked just like her ending is in Crash 1, get all the gems in Adventure mode using Crash (making Crash a requirement would be really touching I feel) >N. Brio is unlocked by getting all gems in Adventure mode using an 'evil' character. >Koala Kong is unlocked by chaining 30 consecutive boosts on Dragon Mines >CNK hoverbike is unlocked post-launch by beating newly posted developer times on CNK tracks, which are done with CNK boss characters.
>Got a copy of the game for less than a dollar >Game freezes before I can even complete the tutorial Well, I guess I got what I paid for.
Austin James
I want Penta Penguin's voice to go 'Penguin yay number one!' in a cute, cartoon penguin voice or something similar.
Austin Gomez
There should be an online mode with a reduced item set. No clocks or orbs, but more turbo boost items, and maybe even the Super Engine item from battle mode. Masks, bombs, missiles, and beakers would still be kept too.
I'll play the game, and I'll like it sure, but damn am I bittersweet about the new sound effects. They sound nothing like the bass-y PS1 sound effects, especially the start light, and the loud CLUUUNK you'd hear when landing
There's no way Spyro will require unlocking but I think something to do with air time would be appropriate. Or they could take the Jew route and only allow reignited owners to use Spyro.
Nicholas Flores
Everyone's too pessimistic. The remake is looking good.
People here seem pretty positive imo. I see we can change kart colors now. Anyone confirm if stats can be reconfigured in this too? I would like an Advanced stat Pura.
Luke Baker
There weren't any performance options in the kart customization menu.
Daniel Martin
Maybe you can unlock him by typing in the old Spyro 2 demo cheat code. The Jew route seems too likely though. I've been burned this way far too much before. Beenox wouldn't do it, but Activision certainly would.
They confirmed adventure mode is coming back. I would be shocked if the HUB didn't return too. I just hope all the character garage's make a return. youtube.com/watch?v=eyOlEu5414Y
Matthew Carter
Thanks user, that is good to hear. This game is such a strange thing to me, being both a remake of a beloved classic and being fairly true to its source material in this current state of video game culture. I want to imagine there's something bad they haven't shown yet, but maybe it will end up being good after all.
Liam Young
What's the difference, it's still a piece of cloth the same size of actual underpants
If Crash gets his own spirit board, I assume most of the villains would be there. >Warped Theme (New Arrangement) >Cortex (New Arrangement) >N. Sanity Beach (New Arrangement) >N. Gin >N. Tropy >Dingodile >Tiny >maybe Ripper Roo >some other stage themes >N. Tranced Warp Room/Map theme (New Arrangement)
Some of it's not bad. I enjoy some more reincorporation of other Crash stuff in the level backgrounds. A lot of them were barren like Polar Pass and just came off as generic. Others, like Coco Park, are getting a little too ahead of themselves.
>Beginner stats I'm afraid not, user. They can still compete, but it's an uphill battle.
Matthew Morales
Sewer Speedway has more of that Crash integration you're talking about. Now it has Pinstripe's goons, the Crash 2 sewer scrubbers, and N. Brio's beaker blobs from Crash 1
Adam Russell
Ripper Roo's new voice is cute and it's growing on me
There was a stat sheet posted in one of the last threads that showed all the character's stats in Nitro Fueled, and all handling characters appear to have gotten a speed buff. I need to dig a little bit.
I'll definitely buy this game eventually but I'm gonna get TSR first because I like the stage gimmicks better. I really do hope both succeed though. We need more high quality kart racers.

And? Furry is a lifestyle and fetish, and I have neither. Coco is not even gateway furry.
Wyatt Lewis
god its been so long i cant remember if different characters where purely cosmetic or if they played differently? i remember you had to crash into boxes to get a randomized weapon/power

Brace for those DARK SOULS OF KART RACERS articles.
and you think reacting like this helps your image as a retardditor
Robert Sullivan
Don't give a shit what you think of me, it's fun mocking dipshits like you who constantly scream the names of other websites at people like it's supposed to be a voodoo hoodoo.
Nicholas Hall
hello?

it's fun screeching like a retard? Whatever floats your boat

Fret not
I haven't always been clear on their top speed (some places say 1, others say 2) but it has NEVER been 3 before. This is a buff. No doubt.
I do agree that the Spyro trilogy was more about artstyle than just graphic power like Crash Bandicoot was and that some of the changes in the remake, specially when it comes to the skybox are for worse, but overall I still think it was a good remake, Elora was ugly but it seems like they failed to make her look as good as she looked in the concept art of the remake more than she being ugly because yes, the remake isn't as good as the Crash Bandicoot one and felt a bit more rushed but overall I think it was a good remake.
I know everyone wants the missing characters from the original trilogy such as N. Brio, Koala Kong or Komodo Moe or some of the CNK characters but what about having a bunch of Spyro characters even if it is as DLC? A pack with Spyro, Hunter, Elora, Bianca and Ripto, maybe one of Spyro 3 playable characters like Sheila too.
Cooper Nguyen
Someone, quick! Was there a some kind of demo code in the original CTR?
Thomas Lee
I guess Speed is the most important stat but aren't Dingodile, Polar and Coco looking at how unbalanced their stats are compared to Crash who's only two points away from having perfect stats on all stats?
Dylan Perry
While that's cool it kinda becomes a Spyro racing game at that point
Yes, there was a code you could input at the title screen to play a demo of Spyro.
Isaac Kelly
Spyro is enough, any other character would be overkill.
Charles Collins
Which one of the trilogy? The first one?
Julian Lewis
I think it can work, I don't see Spyro having it's own racing game since it is less popular than Crash and from now on if anything he will have new games.
And Mario Kart does this with Donkey Kong more or less, Nintendo is kinda weird when it comes to Donkey Kong characters in Mario Kart because some times we have 3 of them sometimes we only have 1 but still we got characters from other Nintendo franchises on Mario Kart, I could see it happening with CTR and Spyro even if it's only Spyro, Hunter and Elora.
