Anyone else play Katana ZERO? Game came out and never saw a thread on it

It's on my to-buy list for sure, I was impressed with the trailer they showed in the direct but I just gotta finish Shantae, Cuphead, and Rain World first.

Tip for when you play the game for the first time: Don’t use the bullet-time power, or use it very sparingly. It makes the game almost trivial and you can manage fine without it.

After you beat the game, you unlock the Gov Lab. In there are swords. You need keys you can find all over the game to unlock them. The swords are Prism Sword, which makes the blood into different colors, Master Sword, which shoots a sword laser, Phoenix Sword, which is a puff of flames, Claymore, which cuts through shields, has a large swing arc and is slower swinging, and a dagger sword thing that has dick all range but swings super fast.

It's really only there so you can reflect bullets honestly. You can do it without the power as well, but it's really just for that.

It makes bosses a lot easier as well, especially the secret boss. I found it more satisfying when I got the timing down to deflect bullets without using the power.

Also how the fuck did V survive as long as he did? The cocksucker has no special powers, but is somehow able to deflect your bullshit time powers. He's just a fat fucking mad lad in a track suit. Is this the real power of the cyka blyat?

I'd become a lot more interested if cboyardee actually worked on this.

The most fun I've had this year along with AC7, this game was a blast to play all the way through. I easily see myself putting this near the games I replay whenever I get bored along with games like God Hand and Gunpoint.
On the other hand, it was obviously released unfinished with content planned later down the line so I can't look at it at a completely positive light.

Yeah I’m really hoping they pad the game out with an update. Kickass music, gameplay, and art, but it just flat out ends super quickly.

They explained a good deal, but they left a shit ton hanging including some shit like no really, HOW THE FUCK did V survive even one encounter with you? Let alone apparently kill other Chronus users? He had no powers. Also how the fuck do Chronus users even kill each other anyway, given that they're all precogs, it should logically always end in a stalemate.

They actually explained a whole lot. Who The Dragon was, who /The Dragon/ was, what NULLS were and what happened to their creator, and they actually killed off both V and the Therapist, which surprises me because it seemed like there'd be a lot more to it. The current threads they left hanging are:

I bought it on a whim today and just finished it. Story was a blast, gameplay was pretty good though.

Still doesn't explain how he could block all of your attacks and you couldn't land any really meaningful hits on him, other than "lol it's a videogame and he's protected by magical bullshit because plot".

Maybe he was a lowkey wild psychic himself. Or maybe the whole game is just Zero taking a massive leap into the future to play "the perfect game" to get what he wants.

Don't know what but something about the gameplay didn't click with me. Rest of its aspects were good enough to do a playthrough but didn't have any desire to replay or do the secret boss, watched it on YT instead.

Story has me kinda invested but again, gameplay felt lackluster so, don't know how interested I'll be until a continuation releases.

The way I see Gamma Vs Gamma is something like Dark Soul's hollows

You keep playing out these potential scenarios in your head, but everytime you "lose" it's chipping away at your sanity a little bit. Eventually you get to a point where you're saying "If I feint right, he kills me. If I feint left, he kills me, I've got no way out"

At that point you just accept you're gonna die and stop rewinding time.

I figure we just didn’t play out enough “simulations” to defeat him, snow rescued him before that. Somebody with good reflexes could hold out for awhile, even if you know what move they’re going to make they could still adapt.
