Carry on, Agent.
ss 2 > de
ss2 isn't even an rpg lmao
nah
You better be, since deus ex will never be in smash.
not that patient
Get the hell out of here, Denton
PATIENT MAN
PATIENT MAN
PATIENT MAN HATES AUGMENTED MAN
Who are some other good to the bone characters?
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait
My time is like water down a drain
I mean, they're both really great. You shouldn't really miss out on one or the other.
THAT MAKES ME ONE UGLY SON OF A BITCH
I cant get into deus ex, I always give up on the stealth section of the tutorial
those games you can't bring yourself to finish the first area are usually the best games ever. I tried Fallout so many times and I always failed until one day I had the fortitude to go forward. It was my loss the whole time but better late than never I guess.
Im talking about the tutorial though. I guess I know what you mean tho it took me like 4 tries to get into hollow knight and now its one of my top 5 games. Guess Ill try it again some day
You could skip to the first level but others seems to have the same problem there too. The game will click when you reach HQ at the most. Easily one of the best games ever.
Do you think it's better than system shock 2? I had no trouble getting into that game and its also one of my top 5
lol i fucked up the tutorial as well so i just skipped it
I haven't played it yet so I can't really say.
Can you play the game if you skip the tutorial?
they cant really be compared, but deus ex is great. i've finished it around 10 times. ss2 i've finished around 30 (because its a lot shorter and i just love it) deus ex really gets good when you play the first two maps
But not that patient.
yes, tutorial is not required, atleast i dont ever remember it being a requirement, maybe you can skip in the menu or even in options?
It is literally a requirement but I mean do you know what to do if you skip it
not a requirement*
Hello agent
Best game ever, probably why I'm so obsessed with conspiracy fiction consider it's the best conspiracy media anyway
any mods for this game that let's me play as an anime girl?
you've got 10 seconds to retract that statement before I add you to the list of NSF casualties
just play the game? the only important stuff that i recall it teaches is that you can attach LAMs to a wall (never really used it myself) and you can pick up crates. you dont miss much if you dont play it. and stealth, but the maps in the real game are more open anyway
jc would make a cute girl tho...
9
girls got a head full of marbles i have to yell
Having literally just beaten ss2 after my biannual DE run, I can definitely say De is the better game
>Those JCs posts
Jesus Christ Denton.
>run away from walton simons
>imagine him milling about with his dick in his hands while you fuck shit up in the bunker
Ask me if I care
>those games you can't bring yourself to finish the first area are usually the best games ever. I tried Fallout so many times and I always failed until one day I had the fortitude to go forward. It was my loss the whole time but better late than never I guess.
This comparison makes no sense. Fallout's first area is just a rat-filled cave, whereas Deus Ex's first area is Liberty Island, one of the best levels in the game
UNATCO?
in the last levels of deus ex I had to force myself to stop playing so I could sleep. in the last levels of system shock 2 I had to force myself to keep playing
Formed by executive order after the terrorist strike on the Statue. I have someone in place though. I'm more concerned about Savage. He's relocated to Vandenberg.
>in the last levels of system shock 2 I had to force myself to keep playing
>he didn't enjoy opening up the sphincter of a giant living alien mass
What is wrong with yoi?
I just didn’t like the level design I guess. also I’ve seen so many sections in games that take place inside monsters and giants so that part wasn’t interesting to me
That reminded me of the mad libs thread we af today. That was top zozzle.
what a deal
You're drinking rat piss in the bar when this sexy mf aug slaps your girlfriend's ass and calls her a flatlander woman. Wat do?
>there's not enough CUNNY to go around and the NIGGERS are starting to turn GAY
>In 1945 corporations paid 50% of federal taxes. now they pay about 5%
>In 1900 90% of americans were self-employed; now it's about 2%
>So?
>It's called consolidation. Strengthen governments and corporations, weaken individuals. With taxes, this can be done imperceptibly over time.
Based
YOU THINK YOU KNOW BETTER WHAT TO DO WITH THIS MONTH'S AMBROSIA SHIPMENT?
How did Simons put out the burn notice to UNATCO on JC in a split second at the rooftop?
Also why did MiB explode if they arent mechanically augmented?
Why didnt Page just bribe JC with the UC?
Why didnt Page leak all the info about the Illuminati and make himself a hero and make Everette a marked man to the entire world?
1, that's terror
>bribing jc
heh-heh
Because everyone was probably already briefed on JC's wanted status and waiting for the order to hunt him. They needed JC to betray the organization officially to go ahead with the order.
Implants? I thought they were augmented, just not like how JC is.
Because Page didn't think he needed to bribe JC with anything because he assumed he was going to die. Also because he didn't want to share his power with anyone
Even if he did who would believe him? Does the "leaks" on the true nature of real life elites move people into action?
Ask him how he knew.
>fiction
Page IS one of the elites tho. And they can move people easily.
Page owns the extranet right? He could have pushed a bunch of fake news and psyops, make JC and Everette as vilified as Hitler saying the illuminati created the Grey Death and VersaLife found out
Well this isn't wrong, it isn't all necessarily due to conspiracies. For example, technological advances have done excellent work in reducing costs for large scale production which coupled with long range shipping advances allow for one large firm to do the same work as plenty of smaller firms could do for a cheaper cost. These smaller firms also usually fall under the category of "self-employment" for the people running them as they commonly family businesses. This gives the larger firm a distinct competitive advantage, which would lead them to absorb or simply kick out the smaller family business.
MiB basically had chemical augmentations ("organic" so to speak) if I remember correctly. They were different from the standard mechanical augmentations or JC's nanobot augmentations.
I'd imagine Page and Everett both have a large amount of dirt on each other, making blackmail lead to the downfall of both pf them.
it could have all been avoided if Everett just listened to him
I don't remember this when I played through the game. Where is he?
Sealed away in Everett's estate.
Everett keeps de beers in the fridge to keep them nice and cool
This was the spoiler that Everett was not to be trusted. Anyone who chose the Everett ending is an ultra good goy.
Ask if he ever tried rat piss.
I guess that explains why I see some people picking the Illuminati ending, they must not have found lucius
>white guy kept on servitude to a black guy whose leader of the most powerful society on Earth
How'd they get away with this???
Well for starters you could mistake Everett for a brown dude rather than black
>second best game ever is better than best game ever
*shodan voice* Nice bait.
i wait i wait i wait i wait
DX > SS1 > SS2
>kills them less than a minute later
no it showed everett was willing to do anything for power. If you looked around the game there were plenty of moments where the game made it clear there was no solution
Dark age just resets the time, sooner or later the illuminati get control again. You just delay the inevitable.
Illuminati ending is just giving up. Sure everett will try to improve. But they are still human, and humans with supreme power fuck up. Whether its taking in bob page who turns rogue, him putting lucius on ice, or any of the other shit they do.
The robot ending you just give up on humanity. At the start JC complains about how he cannot turn off people from contacting him, and when icarus contacts you you freak out. Then they also say that they can read your neurons and know youre in distress before you know to ask for it. The intel link made you a puppet, and now you hook everyone up to it.
The bigger reveal I think in everett's base is morpheus though. Pretty much shows how humans are too retarded to understand they are destroying themselves
Walton Simons continually demonstrates a total lack of competence in his duties, why is Bob even friends with him?
>game hypes up the fight with Simons and Gunther Hermann as if they're going to be major boss battles
>Simons turns up randomly and dies in one hit from the dragon's tooth sword
>Gunther Hermann is crying in a church basement waiting for you and dies after you speak his true name without even a fight
nigga initially they would just disappear from the game.
Gunter is an outdated model and the fact youre snuffing him easily is the point. Hell, he wasnt meant to stop you, he was acting on his own.
Simons is pretty scary. He uses a plasma rifle and can easily gun you down if you dont see him coming.
boss battles in deus ex have always been bad, you would think they would have realized that boss fights don't really work for stealth games by now.
>Samus cautiously making her way through a facility
>peers into a large room
>thousands of ROBs being mass produced as a conniving Ridley oversees the robotic army on a platform above them
>Samus fires a missile and destroys the platform, Ridley charges her as all the ROBs begin activating
>Samus grapples and tosses Ridley away only to see a group of ROBs descending on her
>"Laputan machine."
>The ROBs all self-destruct as a confused Samus tilts her head around
>"Sticks and stones..."
>the camera whirls over to a mysterious figure stepping out of the shadows, the Smash logo reflecting off his indoors sunglasses
>JC Defuses the Situation!
>"You mechs may have copper wiring to reroute your fear of pain, but I've got nerves of steel."
>footage of JC punching and using a variety of DE melee weapons against a ROB horde
>stuns Ridley with the GEP gun and traps him on the stage with 2 quickly tossed LAMs, blows him away
>return to CG footage as Samus and JC get surrounded by the horde
>"One can be too self-sufficient, I'm coming to believe."
>cut to another familiar figure slicing through multiple ROBs with the Dragon's Tooth
>Paul Makes it to the End!
>echo of JC
>ends with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate x Deus Ex
simons spooped me the first time i opened the door in the undersea base, but i had my sword equipped and he was dead before i even knew what was going on
i thought i was done so I had no weapon out. He hurt me pretty bad with is gun before I popped regen and gunned him down. But even then he is pretty tough if you use the assault rifle. its just the DT and explosives that are OP.
in the end its kinda hard to balance the game.
flamethrower is the most fun weapon
Hah! They are schoolgirls. That's the thing, they may have superbrains but they don't know about any alien civilization because they grew up in Japan.
I chose Everett's ending first accidentally because I thought I could kill Page and then merge with the AI because Tong's idea was pants on head retarded
Eventually I did all three to see the scenes butHelios ending is best ending
They are both amazing games.
But sorry pal, DE is better.
I start a debate with him
>JC with an Adam or Walton Simons echo
would be based but nobody at nintendo would ever even think about adding anything Deus Ex related and Square has put the franchise on the back burner.
>new nano-aug agent joins the force
>he completely shows you up and he didn't even have to chop off parts of his body to get superhuman abilities
>vending machine gives you lemon-lime instead of orange because the maintenance man hates you for no reason
>your long time partner and best friend gets assigned to go with the new agent
>he fucking kills her and goes rogue
>have to psyche yourself up to fight him, because outside of killing your friend, he actually seemed like a good man
>he finally comes
>he calls you a machine
>get barely enough time to process this grave insult before getting splattered all over the walls
>never get the skull gun
Gunther had a hard life
At least I tried a gentlemen's agreement
I agree with his message, but the statistics are wonky. The corporate taxes were due to WW2 and most of those self-employed were subsistence farmers made redundant by the mechanization of agriculture.
Sakurai tweeted a picture of a Human Revolution box once. I think that qualifies Deus Ex to have a rapid and autistic Smash fanbase.
rabid* but rapid as well
sure its because mom and pop stores got killed by business chains. But those pop and mom stores kept money in the community, people would buy stuff from eachother, minimizing the amount of wealth bled to big companies. Sure, everything is more expensive, but you earn more yourself. Then chain stores came in that had everything at one place, and killed small specialty stores. And after killing those stores they are now crying as internet stores kill them.
In the end though it is a race to the bottom. Sure, you can buy things are bottom prices from amazon or walmart. But the only jobs you can do if you arent highly educated in STEM are jobs that they couldnt move. Like flipping burgers or driving cabs. And even cab driving is being pushed to the bottom with uber.
So now you can buy clothes on the cheap, with just your mcjob money. So who really got the advantage, rich people who kept their jobs.
>pic
That actually makes me feel a bit bad for not actually fighting him.
Deus Ex > God Hand > Operation Flashpoint > SS2
Reinstalling.
Tell him he should try getting a job
youtube.com
Gotta love JC's delivery, he's lightning in a bottle
*skeptical
has anybody ever played the multiplayer or is it just lost to time?
UK vs US spelling does it again
Isn't it just death matches and that kind of stuff?
I vaguely remember booting it up, loading in and instantly being dead
it had some cool rp maps
You are not afraid to kill, I am pleased. The last thing I would expect from the brother of Paul.
You mechs may have copper wiring to reroute your fear of pain but I've got nerves of steel.
