I want everyone to try to use their stages but when they have a catalog of unplayable stages alongside the goods one then I can't really do much. The triangles to the side are an actual problem for characters who's focus are horizontal fighting/killing since they'll just knock opponents back, thus giving characters with more vertical gameplay an advantage. That alone makes the stage not tournament friendly and downright boring

It really depends on what you're going for. Big is legitimately too big sometimes if you're just making a Final Destination thing with some nice visuals, but you need big for anything reasonably sized like Bob-Omb Battlefield.

As a general rule of thumb, if you're designing for an Final Destination stage that has most of its visuals tied to the stage itself, Normal. Anything with big elements to it (cosmetic or physical) or bigger than FD? Big.

Only use Small if it's part of the design.
