Red Dead 2 not coming to PC

Supposed to be announced today
I am dying to play it, I really am stropping myself from buying a PS4

don't buy it lad, it's just another last-last-gen scripted R* game with no evolved gameplay over the past 15 years. you can just watch the story on youtube

regret my purchase honestly

It's already on Googles streaming service

It looks so hype and I am dying to play it but I cannot wait until e3 and beyond to hear about it. PS4?

its really not that good, and I loved RDR. probably the most disappointing rockstar game

Its not worth it, the missions treat you like a 2-year-old, Rockstar holds your hand none stop

>Supposed to be announced today
said who?

only reason i want this game is to bloody murder everyone in beautiful pc graphics and cheat the shit out of everything with trainers

Some retard on Yea Forums said so.
If they were going to make a PC announcement it would probably be a tweet telling people to go a webpage on X day or during a PS5/Xbox reveal or some shit.
Or maybe during the PC Gaming Show but i doubt that would get anything like that.

I bought a PS4 for it and dont really regret it. Excellent game and definitely Rockstar's best.

Attached: 0_22.jpg (1920x1072, 221K)

It's a good game but doesn't live up to the hype. Too slow story advancement, too much to do, some unnecessary mechanics (camp improvements, weight management) and the online becomes stale very fast.

Thank you. I just am worried as the ps5 comes next year and my ps4 would have no worth- and what if it comes to pc soon

The game is boring as fuck, user.

I purchased a PS4 for Bloodborne and RDR2.
RDR2 is fucking hilariously boring. It legit is more of a movie than a game.

I will play bloodborne ofc

desu I wouldn't be surprised if it does come out on PC/PS5, but I'm a PCfag and I never buy consoles on release so buying a ps4 this late wasn't really a problem for me because I 100% knew what I was getting into and it was relatively cheap (250€).

oh no no no
AHAHAHAHAA

Attached: 1478670219975.png (1462x1462, 1.74M)

Bloodborne is in my top 5 games of all time, even years after release. Play it with headphones.

I still encourage you to give RDR2 a try. I'm from the hood and I find cowboys to be one of the lamest things on the fucking planet.

Attached: 1510737796380.png (800x590, 218K)

Got it from gamestop, realized I hated it in the first 20 minutes, played as much as I could before returning it for a full refund and still returned it early out of boredom. Literally just watch on youtube

>play it
play what? looks like another generic movie game. Rockstars been a disappointment lately after they soiled GTA V with online only updates.

I really might get a ps4 then. Slim or pro?

I'm RDR2 runs at incredibly steady 30fps/1080p, you'll only notice some slight drops in towns if you start a gunfight. On Pro, it runs at 30fps/1080p or 30fps/1440p upscaled to 4K
Bloodborne on PS4 and Pro is the same shit.

Basically, that decision comes down to what games you want to play. Nioh, for example, on PS4 is 60fps/720p or 30fps/1080p, while on the Pro it's 60fps/1080p or 30fps/4K.

A Pro was 100€ more here, and I didn't find the extra money worth it so I just got a base ps4.

There is one deal killer for me my friend. I play my PC on 1440p monitors- PS4 PRO outputs 1080p or 4K- and as for the slim, 1080p. 1080p on a 1440p screen looks terrible due to scaling. I guess an option would be to stream my games to my PC and play through remote play on a small window, but that's not great.. Or I could play on a big TV which my father owns WHEN he is not using it.

Neither are good!

Xbox X does 1440p output but it is the most expensive option and offers me nothing else exclusive wise

This, I dropped it after realising there's only 7 missions to do in mp, gang hideouts are hidden away from the player on the map unless you accidentally find them first, no option to play with just free aim users and instead can only play with little greasy 12 year old who think lock on spawn camping is the epitome of gaming fps, it's really bad and the fact Arthur is forced to die at the end is a meme, it's a meme game and deserves meme out of 10

Is online even alive at this point?

>Play it with headphones
Does the PS4 have 3.5mm out?

Best shootan in a long while, this needs to come out on PC so I can play it with kbm in FPS

Attached: 2019-04-22_1-39-45_AM-wpmc1zw5.jpg (3840x2160, 842K)

I already watched this movie on twitch

you are making me want a console

I'm you mate, except I have a 1080p monitor I use all the time and a flat screen WHEN. My dad's not using it, sucks but I guess it's better than fuck all

Hmmm. Stuck. If I had a 1080p screen I would buy a ps4 no debate.

>just found a video of someone resurrecting a deer at the pagan ritual site in the woods
sadly the moment I got my plat I lost all will to go and examine all the weird shit in the game, but Im gonna go back to do that one day, the ghost lady already talked to me in the swamp
hell, Im even trying to avoid spoilers of the weird shit to this day, the game has an insane amount of secret/creepy shit

Link to vid?

Fuck off loser
Go play some real games

I need the game so bad

just type pagan ritual in the search bar Im sure youre gonna find it, I dont even know why was it recommended for me desu

>MP
Lol, who the fuck cares, fucking retard.

look, Im not saying every post itt shitting on the game are bullshit, the game holds your hand in story missions on an annoying level, but if you take your time to get to know your gang members, do side quests to get a better picture of arthurs sruggles, then the story can be really engaging, even the epilogues are great if you liked rdr1
but beside all that, the free roaming is just amazing desu, lots of cool shit to find, events to run into (some of them are repeating but in an actually "realistic" way), and I personally absolutely fucking loved the shooting, the physics are like a mix of rdr and mp3, the weapons feel strong and satisfying, its really great if you ask me

I have watched the game on youtube countless times. I really want to play but £250 is a lot to pay for a console considering it will come to pc in double frame rate, better graphics with rockstar editor some day!

While I had a good time with the story and most of the characters I say skip it. Missions are super rigid. Oh you moved a centimeter off of where we wanted you to be GAME OVER. There is zero experimenting with the open world design during story points, so it begs the question: Why bother making such a pretty open world only to not let us do anything with it? You can really get away with watching it on Youtube.

>I think cowboys are lame

You need to leave the country.

>Why bother making such a pretty open world only to not let us do anything with it?
Uhh, because the game is more than just the missions? stupid

well if you ask me, I think theyre not gonna release the pc version before the ps5 "remaster", and thats still a few years from now at least, to me it seems logical so eople can triple dip, or at best theyre gonna release it on pc with the ps5 version

>Why bother making such a pretty open world only to not let us do anything with it?
This is just a shitpost right?

There’s literally so much to do in the world of RDR2

game of the decade pleb

The open world is one hundred percent at odds with the core game that they want you to play. They tell you tackle it all how you want toexcept not really. Seriously stop trying to be creative with this mission. Sure you can make your own fun, but that gets old after you skin a wolf for the six thousandth time. I wish that they would've just picked one or the other. Why bother with the open world if the story is prohibited from really using it? I understand that logistically making it a truly open world would be a fucking nightmare. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a linear game hidden inside of an open world. I enjoyed my time with it but even just fucking around with all the animals and weird shit got old. After I finished the game I really didn't have a desire to jump back in and go exploring. Also getting carpal tunnel form horse riding is awful. You can also totally neglect EVERYTHING in the game with no real punishment. Put your donations into the box so your gang will flourish, or don't because that doesn't change anything. The people that are going to die are still going to die no matter how well outfitted your gang is. And that is another point of the game that pissed me off. The lack of any real substantial 'gang shit' is baffling. Rockstar let on that we were going to be in a big outlaw family doing tons of shit. In reality, you take one guy with you on a walk and talk to town to meet another guy to walk and talk. For a game supposedly about a gang there was a gigantic lack of gang activity. The scant few times where the gang was together were nice, but Christ that don't happen nearly enough.

the missions are inflexible and haven't been updated since the PS2 days, so no

very polished game, because DUDE HORSE TESTICLES but the actual game design is stuck back in the late 90s

It does have a fairly robust set of chore simulating. I'm saying the open world has no impact on the story at all and I find that to be a huge problem.

>The open world is one hundred percent at odds with the core game that they want you to play.
wrong.

What are you talking about the missions take place in the open world...

Literally no one is saying it is coming on PC except for few underage spammers on Yea Forums.
They will announce it when new consoles come.

How so? Have you played it? I'll give you an example: You are tasked with stealing a stage coach and then hiding it so the law won't find it. But you can't just stash it anywhere in the world. You HAVE to stash it where the game tells you to stash it, even if the place you thought of was a much better spot. Another example: Flee the police, but not that way! You went outside of the circle GAME OVER. That doesn't feel very OPEN to me.

>They tell you tackle it all how you want to
except they don't
stop reciting youtube ecelebs, dipshit.

KYS little zoomer

I'm sure you can play at 1440p on ps4 Pro? Idk I only have a shit 1080p monitor and flats reen like I said, sorry lad

glad you haven't played it. hope it comes to pc

>You are tasked with stealing a stage coach and then hiding it so the law won't find it. But you can't just stash it anywhere in the world. You HAVE to stash it where the game tells you to stash it, even if the place you thought of was a much better spot.
wow big deal. There's plenty of sandbox gameplay with tons of events outside of the missions.

Attached: Screenshot_20181229-053656.png (1440x2560, 383K)

yall fuckers saying how boring the game is, well imagine pc mods

They sure do! And once you try to zig left into the open world you are met with a game over. Oh it would be cool to go up that mountain, because the law is shit at riding up mountains! Game over. You don't get to use the OPEN part of the world at all during missions. You do exactly as you are told and that is that. I would argue that it is not an open world game, but a closed world game.

It is an open world game, it also happens to have linear missions in it. I don't see why this is causing such anal anguish

Did you and I play the same game? I don't give a flying fuck what people on Youtube are saying. I'm giving my own testimony about a game that I played and nothing more. Please cite examples where you were in a story mission and you weren't railroaded into doing exactly what Rockstar wanted you to do. Spoiler alert: You fucking can't.

kill yourself faggot, i bought it day 1 and regret it.

sorry you have no taste

Attached: stayfucked.png (720x312, 371K)

yeah, sure you are, retard. That' must be why even the examples you give and wording are taken straight out of that eceleb's video again, kys.

because R* creates gigantic sandboxes but don't allow you to use them unless it's THEIR WAY ONLY

every time you try to think even with 2 brain cells their games punish you. this was fine back on ps2, or even ps3, but this generation it's unacceptable. if this happens again next gen, they're dead

They dont have to change shit, they legit think they are gods for just letting you shoot anybody you want on the street

okay bud

>The open world is one hundred percent at odds with the core game they want you to play
My point still stands and thank you for agreeing with it. I never said that the game wasn't packed to the gills with open world content. My argument was that you don't get to use ANY of that cool shit during the missions. RDR2 is trying to be two separate games and I think it would have benefited from just being one of the game types the entire time.

Having a lush world to explore full of shit to uncover and hunt wouldn't exactly be my idea of 100% against.

Ha. So you think the best selling company in gaming history is going down because you don't want to play the game the way it's made? You can't pick up a kangaroo and fuck the moon, must be a shit game!

And you don't even realize how stupid you sound. Name a single open world where you are given this absolute freedom you pretend exists. Where you don't have to bother with gravity, you can swim in sand, cars piss oil after calling you master. They all have rules. Saying the rules for one are worse than another is your stupid fucking opinion that is massively countered by the BILLIONS of dollars made in sales. Stupid cunt.

heres your pc port brooo

Attached: 1232112.png (1896x1102, 972K)

no you dumb fuck, in terms of their design, they're dead

no shit normies will buy up the next GTA like hotcakes, but as a studio, they're creatively dead

this isn't about 100% freedom, it's about even having 50% freedom as other anons have said. you can't plan ambushes or set up a mission ahead of time because MUH NARRATIVE

for fuck sakes we STILL have PSYCHIC lawmen, in a game that came out in 2018

you dumb stupid cunt

Why do you keep bringing up youtubers? I don't watch youtube videos about video games. I play video games. So I guess there is a youtube guy out there that has made my same argument? So what rebuttal did you make to the youtube guy? That he is wrong, because you don't like what he has to say? For the record I enjoyed RDR2, but I'm not a blind fanboy.

>Supposed to be announced today
says who you faggot?

>He still doesn't know how the law system works

lol

>you can't plan ambushes or set up a mission ahead of time because MUH NARRATIVE
yes, we know, the missions are linear, get over it.

Rdr2 on pc will basically be max Payne wild west.

This board is 50 percent PCfag sour grape copes and 50 percent console wars trash.

> he still defends the shitty law system
if i'm masked up, in a completely different outfit, mask, and even horse, i shouldn't be detected the next time i come back in different gear, let alone even 3 miles away

Why not

I agree that the world is beautiful, and some of the shit that happens when you are fucking around is really great. Seeing a fucking lightning strike while I was out prowling during a random thunderstorm was fucking neat. But all of that disappears when you play the missions. I wanted to just lasso guys off of their horses and take 'em with me but nope you are in a mission now and you can't do that.

wasn't the gameplay shit anyway?
isn't a youtube playthrough honestly the better experience?

>I wanted to just lasso guys off of their horses and take 'em with me
Then do that outside of the missions. Sure there could be some more free roam setpieces, but it's hardly some massive gamebreaker

I really can't imagine how will mods improve the graphics like in gta v, I don't have the game but everything look so nice in the gameplay videos.

Big Butt Sadie

Attached: 2019-01-04_11-39-49_AM-tvkksfpd.jpg (3840x2160, 717K)

>I'm from the hood
Cringe

It'll come with next gen just like gta V. Why are people acting surprised ?

you clearly havent played it so why are you even posting? At least ypu arent pretending to have an enducated opinion

>Watching the game on YouTube
>Game has a ridiculous amount of dialogue for how you choose to play Arthur
>Riding through the wilderness and finding weird shit
>Dressing Arthur up like a pirate and running around the countryside waving a sword

The story is good, but watching it is not anywhere near as fun.

>why are you even posting?
to ask people who know better?
notice how I asked two questions and made zero statements
how much "weird shit" is there to find? I'm talking unique events and npcs, is it in the hundreds or 20-30?

I used to own RDR on PS3. Sold it. It was fun when it was a new experience but then it just died on me because it was just GTA with horses. Although I never got a chance to try the DLC I would pirate it to try it

Based Idort. PS4 exclusives are beloved only because they're PS4 exclusives. Gravity Rush 2, Bloodborne, and Spider-Man(cause im a raging spiderfag) were the only exclusives that I didn't regret getting desu

Whats the worst board,Yea Forums or Yea Forums?

Oh shit, i forgot lewd mods

It's nonstop. Probably akin to the order of 30 things to find per region at least. There are entire quest chains I missed on my first play through and I'm sure there is more.

easily Yea Forums

Boring ass game

>Dude just steal all your games! Free games dude!
>Wh-what do you mean no PC port?
And don't even try to argue that "piracy isn't theft" because you're just making a copy. Reducing the developer's profit and playing the game anyways is tantamount to theft.

Theres more unique locations with scripted events than there are unique random encounters. I just keep running across the Mexican who wants to prove he's a better shot than me.

Yea Forums is infested with nothing but capeshit, game of thrones and various other trash generals. Yea Forums sometimes, on very rare occasions, actually talks about video games.

Yea Forums has a lost of /pol/ crossposters shitting up the board but apart from that I think its better than this shithole

oh, and how many regions are there? regardless sounds like a lot
are they interesting in their own right or just "wacky"? if you know what i mean

this isn't counting places out in the wilderness

Attached: encounters.jpg (3136x4320, 3.68M)

My comments were more directed at the people that were trying to hand wave some of the games negative points, by pretending that the issues I was talking about didn't exist and that my arguments didn't hold water. And then acquiescing that my arguments did indeed hold water but I should fuck off and kill myself anyway. For me having my freedoms limited during the story missions hurt my experience.

Yea Forums has maintained its quality level, for better or worse, pretty consistently though. Yea Forums on the other hand has nosedived so hard over the past 5 years it's hard to believe. It used to be my favorite board, and now I barely check it.

about 5 maybe? Some of them are repeatable side missions like the target practice but even those can get you off guard like having to stop a robber quickly before he kills someone, some are prolonged cutscenes or good deeds you can do in return for something free from a shop, others are ferry missions, or open up into a chain of minor missions. On top of the persistent open world mechanics like hunting, ghosts, or treasure map scavenger hunts.

stop recycling youtube videos and people will take you seriously next time.

okay retard

And thats a good thing. Been a while since we've had a decent TPS.

@24fps

Here is your (You) dumb fuck that thinks piracy hurts companies

Attached: piratinggg.jpg (800x430, 107K)

moron

yeah im the moron, that ice cream shop guy is now broke cause those 2 kids shared it

>I can't believe that a person on Yea Forums shares an opinion with my favorite youtube personaltiy
Y'know it is absolutely possible that strangers can share the same opinion, even without ever meeting each other? How is my point rendered invalid because someone else brought up the same flaws? Did the flaws disappear since I last played it? So because there was already a discussion about the games flaws before we can never talk about them again? Fuck off. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a fun game, but it does have flaws. Some people are more willing than others to overlook said flaws, because they didn't detract from their enjoyment of the game. That doesn't mean that those same flaws didn't hurt the experience for others and take some of their enjoyment away. You on the other hand are much more eager to blow your wad on some irrelevant youtube personality than discuss the games feats and flaws. So once and for all since you seem incapable of discussing said faults you can fuck off.

>Y'know it is absolutely possible that strangers can share the same opinion, even without ever meeting each other? How is my point rendered invalid because someone else brought up the same flaws?
yeah, it's possible, but usually 2 strangers that have never communicated won't use the exact same words and exact same examples.
this'll be my last (you)

>Food metaphor
You idiotic fuckwad. And it's not even a food metaphor. Piracy is like if I opened up an ice cream stand across the street from an existing ice cream shop, only mine offered all of their proprietary flavors for free. How long do you think that ice cream shop would stay in business?

It's not even a GOOD metaphor*

Thank you for absolutely proving beyond all doubt that you are totally incapable of conversation, and exist solely to give and get (you)s.

if I couldnt pirate it I wouldn't have gotten it in the first place so they lose 0

retard

yeah but you're still not entitled to it

I thought the side missions were generally more interesting than the main missions. They range in complexity, from a long quest with a travelling animal sideshow to helping some moonshiners improve their product by giving them a missing ingredient. It ranges from the funny to the creepy, like finding that pagan ritual site or the Indian burial ground.

i regretted spider-man because it has no replayability and the dlc was shit and obviously held back content

graphics are great
story is good
gameplay is meh
controls are bad
economy is trash

it's a mixed bag

>If I couldn't pirate it I wouldn't have gotten it
Don't give me that load of bullshit. If you're interested enough to download it, you're interested enough to pay for it if legally procuring it was the only route.

lmao stick to fortnite

lmao if I would have paid for everything I downloaded I would've needed to win the lottery

im poor af and can barely afford the hardware

cope

Zoomer spotted.

Attached: Red Dead Redemption 2 - Warning shot.webm (1280x720, 2.73M)

It's been literally since Max Payne 3

I can control the game just fine though?

These threads are always filled with fanboys. Everyone who acknowledges the games flaws have moved on because there is just no talking to these people.

u wish faggot

it's gonna be announced at E3 along with a re-release for next gen consoles

yeah, no. i would take a lambo for free but no way in hell would i ever pay for it. similarly i would never ever waste 60€ for software entertainment when i can save the money for real life stuff.

but they are backward compatible

By your logic devs would be broke and gone long time ago, but somehow they are richer than ever. So go kill yourself stupid corp bootlicker.

dumb tankie

>console fag literally does not notice the input lag.
I bet you struggle to notice the difference between 30 and 60 fps too. God, your brain must be so slow. I just genuinely pity you. It's like you are a sloth and I am a regular person.

No I adapted to it, kiddo.

Dude it was never fucking real
It got disproven so many times

i feel like most people complaining about this being a "movie game" probably did nothing but follow the main mission marker from end to finish

if you actually want to enjoy this game beside its shitty mission system then take your time to go do all the side shit like hunting and gambling.

the challanges and the satchels/trapper outfits is a great way to make you actually enjoy the open world part of the game.

Attached: 1539070322594.jpg (1148x746, 204K)

when then bro?

>buying physical copies
opinion discarded, not that it wasn't shit before.

>I slowed down my brain
Damn dude

The earliest we'll probably see it is next year if they decide to announce it when any new consoles get shown.
It would be nice if they decided to show off a RDR2 PC at the PC Gaming Show this year but no chance of that happening.

This.

lol steaming

I am just confused because the next consoles are supposed to be backward compatible. The graphics are beautiful as they are,a patch to up the settings and framerate would be good- i doubt they could add enough extra stuff to sell the game again

>collectibles
>mini games
>random encounters
How the fuck do people tolerate this game design? It's 100% filler. I swear to God there's an entire generation of gamers who can't tell the difference between game play and grinding. All open world games follow that formula now. All shooters are loot shooters. All online shooters are hero based or battle royale. All of them minimize hand crafted encounters and combat and focus on extending randomized elements as far as humanly possible. Fuck modern games and modern gamers.

T. The only games I'm buying this year are Warcraft 3 HD, MCC PC, and CTR Remastered.

Attached: sunn.gif (250x233, 1.5M)

that's not what grinding is, squirt.

Based.

And RDR2 is great because of how handcrafted most of the random encounters are not to mention the insane amount of handcrafting into the overworld overall, hurp.

AND the missions are full of handcrafted setpieces, heck, did you even play the game?

Here's your (You)

Attached: skynews-julian-assange-arrested_4635807.jpg (800x600, 30K)

what the fuck are you talking about?
everything in rdr2 is hand crafted and there's no grinding. only the challenges can be considered "grinding" but even then it's like "hold up 5 people in town" or some shit.

idiot

bought the ultimate edition, played it on the original xboxone, enjoyed all 100+ hours i put into it. probably going to replay it soon after i finish some games and free up some space.
best game that i can think of. going to get it for pc too if it comes and replay it third time then. it's just so damn good, all the detail they put into the game is incredible. missions can have some gta iv problems though. but nothing serious as some retards ITT makes it seem.

he's right tho, you are a pleb. And a certified one at that.

Finally a good user. So do you recommend me buying a ps4 or xbox and playing?

I consider playing any filler content to be grinding. You're going through the motions of game play that's not designed to be fun in order to progress.
>handcrafted random encounters
See pic
>handcrafted setpieces
Yeah these are mostly fun. Notice that my post is in direct response to people defending the game based solely on the open world elements. I don't hate it for being a movie game. I hate I for being a generally soulless open world with someone fun setpieces and story.
>everything in RDR2 is handcrafted
Outside of missions, the only hand crafted side content are the card assassination missions, serial killer hunt, and bounties.

>>handcrafted random encounters
yes, child

dude it's literally the game of the decade, what the fuck do you need more. It's literally the only game in existence that feels truly next gen and god knows when the others (if ever) will catch up to it.

>Outside of missions, the only hand crafted side content are the card assassination missions, serial killer hunt, and bounties.
no lmao, literally the random encounters are hand crafted

and filler means "content I don't like" i suppose.

if you have the money, you can probably find used xbox one very cheap. it's really good game. especially if you like that sort of western adventure.

>soulless
>most soul in any open world ever if no other reason than by virtue of the interaction system but also all the extra polish R* put into it

shoo shoo child

Cringe falseflag

Fuck you. I don't have anything else to say to you. Go fuck yourself you stupid, evil cunt.

Pretty much. Anything with randomized elements including loot collection is filler content. It's not real content, it's not real gameplay.
The interaction system is a pretty fun gimmick but all it does in reality is give you two or three more ways to rob and kill NPCs. Really it's not much of an evolution over being able to give people the finger in GTA fucking IV. If Rockstar wanted to really have soulful open world they'd have more in world hand crafted content and none of the retarded collectible dinosaur bones or cigarette packs. The game would be literally more soulful if it had less (filler) content.

>It's not real content, it's not real gameplay.
top fucking kek. the plebs that dwell on this board, no wonder the industry is shit.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't content

>Really it's not much of an evolution over being able to give people the finger in GTA fucking IV
Yes it is, it's much more involved with greater player agency. Seems like this game went over your head.

>Seems like this game went over your head.
this. the guy is a fucking pleb through and through.

Wasn't going to play it anyway. The way it's scripted and railroaded as fuck with lots of slow horseriding sessions, bleh. I might as well watch it on youtube if I was into the story.

Gameplay is nothing special.

No that's exactly what it means. Games like destiny and Anthem are 100% filler content. There's no real gameplay; the entire thing is grinding .
You people are fucking retarded. Explain to me how it's deeper than being able to give people the finger in GTA IV. Explain one way in which it's deeper.

>Explain one way in which it's deeper.
lets see, you can use it to stop witnesses from going to the cops for starters.

>the entire thing is grinding .
nope, there's a whole shooter aspect to those games as well in case you havent noticed. Again, just because you don't like something isn't enough of a justification for everyone to write it off as bad filler

The controller does.

>Explain to me how it's deeper than being able to give people the finger in GTA IV. Explain one way in which it's deeper.
the system in gta v was by itself pretty good and wasn't just about flipping people, it just wasn't the forefront of the game. Here, it has more depth and it's the best way you can interact with random npcs in any game. And the depth comes in the role playing, it's just nice to greet someone or have a little chit chat. Sure, it might not be much, but it's much much more than any other game out there.

The shooting in those games is grinding, faggot
Yeah that's the one thing I can think of. generally it's just some extra, immersive fluff around violent interactions. Like describes. I do think it's nice and it is an extremely polished system, but in the end it just provides some extra, surface level options to interactions we've been having in video games since GTA III. It's not significantly more meaningful to intimidate a witness instead of kill them, other than the arbitrary morality meter that felt dated when Dishonored had it last gen.

Well, OP, take solace in the fact that it is a massive letdown.

I bought a PS4 Pro for this game alone, and it was incredibly underwhelming. It's not even that the game is bad, it's good, but that's all it is - simply a good/decent game. Incredibly nice graphics with amazing characters, completely ruined by boring repetitive missions, 'realistic' animations that end up being so fucking slow, annoying and clumsy that it ruins gameplay completely, and a horrible break in quality after chapter 4 that just kills the story completely by dragging the same issue out for 15 more hours for no reason ('hav sum faith orthor'), and by the time you reach chapter 5 you've seen all the game has to offer but still have to slog through those 15 hours of the same conversations over and over again.
Shooting's okay, but every gun feels the same. Horses are a lot slower this time.

Oh, and Online is such a massive failure that I never though R* capable of fucking something up this badly:
>still stuck in Beta for about 6 months now, with premium payment (gold) introduced after the 1st month.
>bugs and glitches out the ass, constant connection problems
>payouts for missions/showdowns/events are even worse than GTAO was with the money milking
>even if payouts were better, there's fucking nothing to buy other than new ugly clothes that clip through everything
>after 10h you realize you've done it all before and are just bored to tears
>level progressions is a fucking slow chore

Really fucking sad about it too, I had high hopes for both RDR2 and RDRO after seeing what a financial success GTAO was for Rockstar, hard to believe they fucked it up this hard

don't bother
the game is boring as shit
they only way I was able to have any fun in the game was to forego guns all together outside of required shootings and use nothing but tomahawks and the knife

>The shooting in those games is grinding, faggot
no it isn't. It's shooting with a loot component added on. "Grinding" implies the gameplay itself is mindless and deemphasized in favor of the mechanics like in an MMO where all you're doing is hitting keystrokes in a pattern

Couldn't have said it better myself. That's a great explanation of all loot shooters.

>It's not significantly more meaningful to intimidate a witness instead of kill them
Yes it is when it's your own choice. The depth comes in the form of improved player agency adding to a greater sense of immersion.

you're kinda right and wrong at the same time. RDR2 is the least killing concentrated big budget AAA game out there, outside of the story missions. It's basically an indie walking simulator with a billion dollar budget. The interact system by itself isn't anything huge, but combined with everything else it truly makes an experience that feels 10 years ahead of what we have now in games.

Except destiny still has standard FPS gameplay

Just run a bounty if you want more bang bang shooty. Nothing's stopping you from terrorizing NPCs either, and there's a whole hunting subsystem to engage with.

That was meant to be a compliment, desu I love what they're doing with it.

oh

It's a great game but not sure I'd buy a console just for that.

Its a great game OP,a lot of fags ITT

>controls = gameplay
It doesn't have standard FPS level or encounter design. Its all just corridors with mindless mobs and then only """""" depth""""" comes from whatever your stats are.

Luckily rdr2 doesn't really have leveling and all the side content in optional, but the point of my argument is that if you're saying
>rdr 2 isn't a movie game! You can grind the filler content endlessly!
Then you're the reason gaming is dead.

yeah controls are part of the gameplay

>Its all just corridors with mindless mobs and then only """""" depth""""" comes from whatever your stats are.

How is this any different from any other shooter minus the stats levelling. Does it need to be a scripted cinematic setpiece for you to consider it content?

>playing modern R* shit
Not even worth the time to pirate it.

Cope.

>RDR2 runs at incredibly steady 30fps/1080p
So it's unplayable. Thanks for clearing that up.

Cope what? I've never even once played GTA V because I don't give a shit about these copy pasted shit games. Better off replaying GTA 2 for the nth time.

why does it look so bad.
gta v with some lighting mods looks nicer than that

Attached: 1501493405917.jpg (412x387, 40K)

'Cause I can't get my PS4 to not compress screenshots.

Attached: 0_0.jpg (1920x1072, 244K)

How does not mindlessly praising the latest games make someone a zoomer?

Name one (1) better looking game.

Crysis (2007)

>dead bushes are 2d sprites

Whoever worked on the game's lighting engine deserves an award. Every vista is like something out of a 19th century painting.

no they aren't

everything looks low res

>cowboys

Except you dont play as a cowboy you fucking dolt. You play as an outlaw.

Nice bait.

>I find cowboys to be one of the lamest things on the fucking planet
I'm not even white and you should consider killing yourself. Also RDR2 looks horribly boring.

The look very two dimensional compared to the living bushes next to them.

Attached: 447040_screenshots_20161201201035_1.jpg (3797x1557, 3.18M)

Why didn't they use New Austin for anything?

that's the challenge with compression innit

Attached: 0_24.jpg (1920x1072, 466K)

Is this WD2?

It was a fun time but I havent touched the game since I beat it. The typical Rockstar gameplay is so easy and RDR2 specifically is so slow paced that I dont feel the need to replay it. The multiplayer was really dissapointing as well.

What lighting mods do you have? I'm showing off my screenshot here but I don't think I've seen rdr2 as beautiful as the rdr2 ones, probably because of the vegetation

Concept art for WD2.

I did the same thing. It was super worth it. The game's amazing. I got a Ps4/spiderman combo for $200 on black friday.

>I got a Ps4/spiderman combo for $200 on black friday.
>STILL shilling a fucking capeshit game

>Capeshit is shi-

That isn't concept art that's what the game looks like dumbo

Wow, another reskin of Arkham. Groundbreaking.

>how is doom or quake or even fucking Halos gameplay design any different from Destiny?
Holy shit you people are literally brain dead.

you can tell your ps4 to take png screenshots senpai

It looks low res because it is. Game is at 1080p with lots of post processing effects making them image look soft as fuck on base ps4.

sorry console war shitposter kun but it looks the same on all platforms in terms of postfx/AA.

Attached: 1546815088902.png (1920x1080, 1.73M)

What hardware would you recommend to run that at 1440p with at least 30-40 fps minimum? That looks fantastic.

>shilling for AAA on Yea Forums

Oh boy cant wait for the new FIFA

What? That mod hasn't come out yet, the guy's dissapeared. Unless you're vosswar, which I doubt

>unreleased

guess youd need a 1070

>Oh boy cant wait for the new FIFA
This but unironically.

even with NVR it looks better

that's pretty impressive

Attached: 0_23.jpg (1920x1072, 305K)

Yes and the postfx/aa and soft image issue appear on all platforms. It's just worse on the consoles with an actual low resolution like the base consoles.

I know. Literally no good TPS games since.
It's not tesselation, it's Parallax Occlusion Maps which were used in Fear and Crysis last decade. Incredible technology for the performance that was mostly left behind this gen for no good reason.

>that blurry shit
>impressive

Played it on my brothers PS4 during easter, as a full PC gamer I thought it was one of the most fun thing I've ever played.

I have that too, maybe I'm missing something

>RDR2 comes to PC
>It has Denuvo
>"OMG I don't wanna get a game that has Denuvo because...I don't wanna!"
>Game eventually gets cracked and pirates pirate it

The pc gaming circle

holy blur

I feel your pain. As a part of the master race myself this is literally the only game consoles got that i want. Still i wouldn´t buy a PS4 just for it. If it doesn´t come to PC i´ll wait to see if the PS5 is actually retro compatible and depending on the PS5 library i might get it then. If not, well... i always have the original RDR. I haven´t even played undead nightmare yet.

Is this gta v or ghost recon?

Daily reminder if you didnt play the native 4K Xbox One X you simply didnt play the game. It's also the prettiest vodeo game, nothing on PC comes close

Fuck off braindead Chapo mongoloid

Isn't that some heavily modded game? We're talking retail games here, not mods/tech demos. Again, nothint comes close

Attached: Red Dead Redemption 2 Boarded.webm (852x480, 2.43M)

C'mon Rockstar do it, let the modders have a crack at making it better

The fact that you think that's modded only proves my point.

Or just less blur filter, retard

Well what game is it and running on what PC? Never heard of it desu

Kill yourself you uneducated faggot

It's in the filename, son.
